I can't believe it's taken me this long to eat here! This restaurant has been a Riverside staple for YEARS! It's my brother and his girlfriend's favorite breakfast place. My husband used to frequent this place a lot in the early 2000's. We went for breakfast around 9:30am on a Saturday. It was busy, but not packed enough that required us to wait to be seated. Our waitress was a very fun, attentive woman. She only forgot to bring me peanut butter, but she kept my coffee mug full! I got a simple cheese omelette and a pancake. The omelette was gooey and great, tho I did have to add salt & pepper. My husband got the chicken fried steak. He said it was warm & crispy, but really lacked flavor. We both got a pancake and they're of course huge! Both had a little too much butter on top, but they were super yummy. I ate almost the whole thing. Prices are great! And my coffee was wonderful! We'll be going back, soon. Parking lot is tiny; beware if you have a big truck like us. Bathroom are fine. Place has a 'I'm eating at Grandma's house' vibe. Everyone was crazy friendly.

Nice local dinner, good food and very fast, ok prices. Biscuits n Gravy had no flavor to me and it needed salt very odd for sausage gravy to need salt.

    Fried whole catfish, delish.

Had a very solid breakfast here. I think they do a great job on the French toast. Nothing spectacular but a solid breakfast.

A gyro so large you can't pick it up, with a heaping serving of meat (cooked on the authentic spinning gyro meat contraption) and plenty of tzatziki.

Whether it's their brisket, pulled pork, Mississippi beef. (my favorite), macaroni and cheese, or even their smoked cream cheese, you have to try it for yourself. When we were there yesterday, a woman told me she drives from Ponca just for their barbecue and walked out with a whole tray full of ribs. It's that good. Make sure to watch their Facebook page for updates on when they will be open and when they are sold out for the day. They also will give you a preview of what the menu is for the day and what is upcoming. I hear the seafood that they do is amazing. I can't wait to be there for that sometime. If you're on historic fourth in downtown, Sioux City, you won't see a restaurant with this name. Look for the bar Major's and as long as they are serving, you have found your place! This place is a sports bar with plenty of TVs, beer on tap, and your basic mixed drinks. So grab some barbecue, grab a beer, and watch a game while you stuff your face!

Maybe I should have with…read morethe Iowa versus Nebraska game it would be packed, and maybe I should have been more understanding because my server said it was her third day, but the service I had this last time at P's Pizza House in the Dunes was pretty disappointing. HOWEVER, I definitely will give them the benefit of the doubt and be excited to return. Mostly because of this food... Check this out - In my experience, sports bars can go one of two routes with their food. They either order the traditional menu with maybe a slight variation from your standard food supplier. The food is fine, but nothing to write home about and you feel like you've had the exact same meal at other similar restaurants. However, the other route is when a restaurant leans into their menu to offer something different. Elevate the flavors. Put a spin on classics, and give you a reason to return. P's Pizza House in the Dakota Dunes falls into the later category. The cheeseballs and french fries - both sweet and regular - were fairly traditional, but the seasoning/garnish shows that they are paying attention. This brisket mac & cheese will stick to your ribs and let the flavors shine rather than drowning the meat in sauce or forgetting to cook the macaroni well. The smashburgers were exceptional. The pub burger with mushrooms, caramelized onions, and that pretzel bun with perfectly melted cheese and bacon was tasty, but the pimento cheese smashburger with crispy onion straws was divine. I appreciated that they were actually smash burgers and not just a regular burger with a fancy name. The toppings added to the experience instead of just trying to hide a bad burger. Not pictured were some Oreo shakes and cocktails in addition to a great beer menu. They have a private party space where they can pump out their coal fired pizzas to a large group and they even have a kids zone with arcade games to keep them busy. And with a ton of TVs will make sure that you don't miss any action. -- at P's Pizza House.
