We paid, then when they brought it out they decided to not give us half of it "because they were out of it". they offered no substitution, just charged us for food they didn't provide. Horrible experience at Outback Steakhouse in Morrisville, NC, last Saturday evening. We arrived just before 5 PM with eight adults and five kids, including two with autism, and the place was nearly empty. We told the staff our group size, and they said they'd pull tables together. After waiting 20 minutes-watching 32 other people get seated before us-we asked the manager. She claimed we'd need to wait another 30 minutes, even though seats were opening up. We finally left and found another restaurant that welcomed us without issue. When we told the manager we were going, she brushed it off, saying we should've called ahead. Honestly, it felt discriminatory-our group was ignored because of the kids with autism. Avoid this location; they don't deserve your business. read more

There is an Outback Steakhouse in my town but I was in Mooresville to take care of business and thought I would check out this location. The service was top notch, as was the food. Funny story: I asked for a Bloomin' Onion to go after I was done with my meal. They actually served it without a to-go box as if I was going to eat it right then and there. The server understood and would return with a to-go box. At that point, the manager came to my table and said she was sorry I didn't get my food. I replied that I did indeed get the food, it just wasn't in a to-go box like I asked. This is not a deal breaker for me but I just thought I would illustrate how above and beyond the staff at this location goes to make their customers happy. The fact that the manager sensed something was wrong (which was trivial at best) shows that they care. I shall return! read more

It was my son's birthday and he requested to have his birthday dinner here. It was on Wednesday night so the restaurant wasn't busy. I did make call ahead reservations and we arrived early but didn't have to wait to be seated. It took our server a while to acknowledge we hadn't been served. When he finally made it to our table he seemed very frustrated. I asked if everything was okay and he just gave me a side eye and asked what did we want to drink. I kindly asked for water while we decided. When he returned about 10 minutes later he asked are you ready to order. I let him know we hadn't put in our drink orders but he can take it all together for time sakes. Again the side eye was given. Nevertheless, he took the order and said it would be out shortly. We ordered the new bloomin shrimp as an appetizer and it was pretty tasty. My son didn't like it but he doesn't like spicy sauce. Next time I will ask to put it on the side. When our entrees arrived I was shocked at the presentation. It just looked thrown together on the plate. The steaks were over cooked even though we asked for medium well and they were cooked well and dry. I didn't complain I kindly asked for a to-go box. Then I spoke to the waiter to inform him that it was my son's birthday and if they had cake. He gave me the side eye again and said "No, we don't have cake". I said okay then can I just buy him some type of dessert? He replied I can bring him some ice cream and chocolate syrup and walked away. By now, I'm frustrated and trying hard not to report him. He brought the ice cream and placed it in front of my son and said "Enjoy". As we were walking out of the restaurant the manager said Happy Birthday I hope you Enjoy. I thought this was a great place! 8:25 on a Wednesday night , not crowded, sat at bar- which the bar area has high tops -cool- but sat... alone at the bar. Got greeted by the bartender and got a quick beer. Place is quiet, clean, very clean- all tables bused and ready- just "homey" for what ever reason. Ordered a filet MR and shrimp- great steak! Great meal! This is why I come to outback. If you have good management, a good chef, and pleasant servers, I usually hit more than miss! New addition to the Mooresville Dining Scene. Last Sunday was a Yelp Event at the Outback on Ikea that showcased the new menu items coming some from Outback. I loved the new menu additions.and was looking forward to having them other than on a tasting menu. Got my chance yesterday. This location opened two weeks ago on River Hwy ( NC 15)) about two weeks ago. Had to pick up my camera from repair at Best Buy so we were across the street at diner time so this became a destination. As we drove by the parking lot was packed. While I was picking up my Camera at Best Buy, my wife called and asked how long was the wait. She asked if they could put us on the wait list which they agreed to. When we arrived, we walked up to the front and picked up the pager but before we got seated in the waiting area, it went off. We were promptly seated in a nice booth near the entrance. Good thing because the couple behind us when we checked in were told a wait time of minutes. Close to dinner time, it does get busy. Our hostess seated us and our server was there almost instantaneously and took our beverage order. I ordered my regular 1//2 and 12 tea while my wife ordered unsweetened iced tea. When he came back with the tea, there was a bit of problem because my wife's tea was sweetened. Looking over the menu's I did not see any of the items I had tasted last Sunday and on inspection, our waiter discovered we had been given the old menus, Minor problems at best and more importantly , rapidly corrected. My wife started with a bowl of Potato Soup followed by the Petite 6 oz Filet with Asparagus on the side. I ordered a Caesar Salad as my side and the Ultimate Great Barrier Combo with a loaded Baked Potato. The Great Barrier Combo is a Lobster Tail, Shrimp from off the barbee and two delicious well season crab cakes. I't became a favorite when it was a tasting and I really enjoyed it when it was a full serving. Wife loves their Potato Soup and her Filet was perfect. Our service was great. Granted this place has only been open two weeks and there are alot of trainers present but it seems to have gone well. One of the trainers was the Proprietor of the Hickory Store and she came by our table several times. At the end, she brought over the Proprietor for this store. With this level of commitment, I will be surprised if the level of service drops off when the trainers leave Decor is characteristic of the newer Outbacks which makes for a great venue to enjoy both good food and good service. read more

A 3.2 rating? That cannot be right. This place is easily a 4-4.5 star because you can never please everyone and let's also face the fact that servers sometimes have a bad day. I have eaten here maybe 10 times over the years and every time it's a 5 star. We were just there this week with a party of 14! Our waitress was Kate. She did an amazing job dealing with everyone's opinion and questions . Phillip came by a couple times to deliver drinks and bring things. The restaurant found out it was my daughters birthday and not only brought a ballon over they even brought here the best Outback dessert ever! Our food was the best of all trips, from multiple steaks to Alice springs chicken. Salads and sides were all perfect. Honestly it truly was the best trip to outback we have had ever. The stores Proprietor Kim even personally gave a happy birthday to my daughter as well! First class restaurant! We will be back for as long as we continue to live in this area. read more

Usually, we have a good dining experience here, but tonight, something was not right. The food quality was great, but the service was slow, and there was a lot of confusion on who ordered what. We steadily had people coming to our table asking if something was our order. It took about 20+ minutes to get our drinks. My wife had a frozen drink, but by the time it arrived, it was not really frozen. I had a beer that took even longer to get and asked two different times about it. To be fair on the beer, they had an issue with the system for tap beer tonight. Overall, it was an off night for the group, but as I said, the quality of the food was awesome so well be back. Normally a good experience but in December my family ordered online through their website for food to be delivered at a certain time. We live out 150 so we have a leeway of 30 minutes due to traffic. The food was late and when I called the Togo person let me know that due to a glitch in the system they just got our order and it will be at least 30 minutes before we'll get it. It was late and cold. This was unusual for us. Normally our experience is great. We will try them again the future, it will probably be a few months. Just remember to order through one of the delivery services, I was informed that was how to order, not through their website. read more

Outback makes me happy. My parents REALLY love Outback. So whenever they go, I am happy to tag along. Does Outback have the best steak? No, but it is pretty tasty. And I absolutely LOVE their house salad & the loaded baked potato. They're always running different specials, which makes it easy on your wallet. Mooresville has really opened their arms to Outback, as this location is always busy. While the parking lot is pretty big, it can only hold so many cars. The times we've been thus far, we've had great servers. The meals have always been good. read more

We just called to place a order to delivery at our hotel, and after paying by the phone with a nice tip, we called 4 times and all of the calls the girl on the phone was laughing on me, I don't know for want reason. We are traveling so we probably will not come back at this place, but I would not recommend for my biggest enemy at all. Ordered for curbside pick-up on a Saturday night. Food was delivered to our car within three minutes of us getting there even though they were very busy. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. The staff was friendly. Great experience! Note: On a prior visit, I sent an email with a complaint to the managerial staff of this Outback. The manger replied to my concerns the same day via email and phone. He was very understanding and accommodating - went above and beyond. Young lady shows us to the table Slams the silverware on the table as if she is having a bad day. Still waiting on someone to say " welcome to Outback" It never happened. So we wait. Obviously Mismanaged because clearly very unprepared for large numbers of customers and busy dinner times...tables sit uncleared for too long and then when they get cleared they sit there set up for far too long AGAIN! I've seen only 2 people seat customers and on a Saturday night (during dinner) and they should very simply be full staffed for this but obviously are not. Very disappointing establishment. When asked for updates on when we'll be seated, all the host says is that, oh yea you're next we're just waiting for people to get up...& we've been waiting now for ab an hour (first told wait was 30min) and I've been told that same thing 3 times now and I watched another party of 7 get seated about 10min ago.... I honestly was unfamiliar with this restaurant. Our waitress Janine was amazing. I had surf and turf (petite filet and crab legs). The filet was phenomenal. I didn't finish the crab legs - they were just bland and dry. Hubs liked my filet better than his ribeye. He did really enjoy the au gratin potatoes.
