I kinda feel guilty about writing this review but since my experience last night I feel like I have to. Hopefully the proprietor will read this and make some changes and improve this location. My family decided to go to Outback as school was starting the next day and we wanted to have a nice night/dinner out before the hectic and long days of school started. The night there started fine, we were seated, drinks were ordered, appetizer came out which was fine. After that it was a series of disappointments. Salads were drenched in dressing to the point even the crotons were soggy. I actually like a little extra dressing but this was beyond a little. My filet was undercooked, pretty much raw. Was ordered medium rare. They did bring me a new old which ended up being fine. My wife's filet was over done. Was ordered medium. When I informed the manager, he looked at it and asked if it was the sirloin. He obviously couldn't tell because of how overcooked it was. Filet or sirloin. After that comment I realized it was the wrong steak totally. It was a sirloin instead of a filet. We each had lobster tails with the steaks. They seemed fine. My 13 year old daughter ate mine for her meal, which she usually does. Well when we got home she was in the bathroom on/off for a hour with a upset stomach. My wife ate hers and she just didn't feel right afterwards also. The worst part of the night though was when a waitress dropped a cup of ketchup on the ground and it sprayed our table. It was in both my daughters hair and all over there face. Also there clothes got some of it as well as mine. This happened literally right as our food arrived. After 10 minutes of cleaning all the ketchup off us and the booths were sitting in, we were able to eat. Just to then end up having over and under cooked steaks waiting for us. The manager did come over and apologize. I do understand accidents happen. He offered a free desert, which we initially refused. It was late by this time and we figured they might discount a meal or something. I mean it was a terrible experience. When I realized that wasn't gonna happen I took the offer of the one dessert and actually asked for a second because of the 4 of us. The manager agreed. I have been a loyal Outback customer since the opening of the one in Palm Bay back in the late 1980's. The last few times I've been I find my wife and I talking about how its just not the same anymore. This last experience was just over the top bad. I hope they get it together. My husband and I have always liked Outback Steakhouse. Sadly I can say that we are NO longer fans. I haven't been in a few months, and in that time I guess they raised their prices. I ordered from the to go menu. I ordered a simple Caesar salad with chicken. I was so surprised when I was told my total was $16. This was no drink, no other items just the chicken Caesar. When I asked wow why so much the young girl said oh it's really large and you get a lot of chicken. Ok I ordered it already, so I will live with it. I get home, open the bag and I get a bowl filled with lettuce and croutons a tiny bit of Parmesan cheese and not kidding, maybe 2 small strips of chicken cut up. They were the size of my index finger and that fat. Not even 1/2 of a chicken breast. This was in no way a $16 salad. When I called and spoke to the manager she apologized and confirmed the price was correct. Don't get me wrong if it is a great, loaded salad then I wouldn't complain. This was not that. This was a basic, no frills, nothing exciting salad. Hate that this was a disappointment. We will not be going back anytime soon. read more

Wow! What a bad experience we had yesterday, July 1st 2016. We've been to many Outback Steakhouse restaurants and this was the first time we've had a bad meal. It started off nice with hot bread and some fried onions but then we ordered some soup and salad and both were very poor. The soup was partially cold as if they pulled it out of the microwave without stirring it. We could hardly eat it and then once all the food was consumed, the waitress brought us the salad. Really! We got our salad at the end of the meal and it was loaded with soggy coutons and old lettuce. That evening, my wife got sick and we attribute it to this meal. Found ourselves in Melbourne and decided to try outback. It has declined since we were there before the pandemic. Food was ok ( not great) BUT first announcement from the waitress was "no bread tonight"(famous for their bread!). Next was "we don't have that salad dressing tonight". Had to ask for iced tea twice. Ordered a Bloomin Onion for appetizer. It came to us dark brown and tasted burnt. My meal came with a salad. Salad arrived without the requested ranch dressing. Oh, wait. I found it under the cheese on the salad. It may as well been water. It was so diluted I could barely tell it from water on the salad. Pros: no wait on a Sunday evening. Service was excellent. Steak was cooked exactly as ordered. Cons: the seasoning on the steak was so peppery that you couldn't taste the steak. This was a tender piece of sirloin. You shouldn't disguise the taste of a good steak. The waiter said it was changed in all the Outback restaurants to give it more of a "bite". There should be a warning about this on the menu. Next time (if there is one) I'll order it unseasoned. read more

Went this past Saturday night with my adult daughter, her husband and their 17 year old son. Got there at 6 and was told there already was a 30-45 minute wait. First comment: with that long a wait I would think they would have a cocktail waitress on the patio/waiting area but they did not. Not only would that have generated more income for them, it would have been a nice service to the dozens who were awaiting tables. When our buzzer finally went off ( 6:40ish ) were promptly seated and greeted by a waiter. Second comment: Waiter was spotty at best. While friendly, he was forgetful and brought a few wrong items and didn't clear unless we grabbed him and asked him to. With small tables, they need to clear between courses. All in all, not a bad experience. Food was okay ... nothing special. I did find my steak a bit over seasoned ... salty. Pre-tip bill for 1 blooming onion, 4 meals ( one a burger ), 3 desserts, 2 coffees, 2 beers and 1 cocktail was $139 or about $35 a head. Would I go back? Probably. Would I recommend the place? Maybe. Got a rare prime rib outback style , fried mushrooms and a potato with creamed spinach delivered. Ordered rare expecting a seasoned and seared medium rare , ended up with medium well to well barely seasoned steak. They didn't pop the vents in the box my mushrooms were in so they were soggy and half of the box was fried onion petals. The potato was cooked perfectly but they put my toppings and extra butter with my hot creamed spinach so it was liquid and I didn't have butter to spread on my bread. This parking lot is where good restaurants go to turn bad. The staff just aren't equipped to handle mall crowds, and they drop the ball on a regular basis. The steaks were cold and undercooked. The meat was chewy. They replacement steaks were way off as well. It's a waste of a great menu and a beautiful new building. read more

We were there a few nights ago and what a disappointment Outback has become. The food is just mediocre at this point. The servers try their best but when a chicken breast is just plopped by itself on a plate with some melted cheese on it all because my husband wanted fries and they came out later, it seems like no one cares that the presentation of the entree was unappealing and tasteless. 2nd time I came here in a week. They need new cooks. 1st visit I ordered the perfectly cooked salmon. Well it was raw in the middle, had to send back to recook. Have been to Outback in different states over the years. Tonight (Sunday 2/10/19) we went to the Outback in Melbourne. Our waiter's name was Bruce. We were seated at 5 pm and did not receive our dinner until 4 minutes to 6. We had no silverware on the table and pointed this out to Bruce when we ordered. When our soups and salad were brought to the table we had to get up and get our silverware ourselves. I ordered the tenderloin medallions which were tough and chewy, more like stew meat than a tenderloin cut. When we finished eating the check was brought to us without us even being asked if we wanted dessert. There are many fine restaurants in Melbourne and I have never complained about any of them before. I will never return to the Outback again. As someone with dietary restrictions chains can be scary, I can feel like when I ask for something to be customized I'll sound difficult and am afraid I could get sick if I don't check the food enough. I don't think I can rant long enough about how the particular staff at this location cares and goes the extra mile to always make sure things are done correctly. It has its flaws as chains do, occasional bad days, but it's high more than make up for its lows and this particular location is a definite recommend. read more

We are having our 29th Wedding Anniversary today. But with the virus we chose to do curbside pickup. My wife ordered for both of us, on her phone, for pickup at 3 PM. We got a text telling us when each part was complete. We pulled in at 2:55 PM. I was carefully backing in to the pickup area and my wife said "Wait. I think this is ours coming here." A young girl walked to our car with a big bag and said "Have a nice Anniversary." We drove six miles, in traffic, back home. Nothing had to be reheated. The sweet potato still melted the butter. The filet steaks were perfect. Each piece of the Salted Caramel Cheesecake was huge and delicious. We turned on some nice music and enjoyed everything. We will CERTAINLY do this again. Everything was great! I wanted a ribeye late on a Fri night and was very happy that they're open until 11 on the weekends. I was even more pleased to see that they have a Mother's Day week-long special running, of a filet with béarnaise sauce and crabmeat, so I asked if I could get the béarnaise and crabmeat on the ribeye....yes = happy woman!....or I would have settled for their very good creamy, marsala mushroom sauce. I started off though with the French onion soup with swiss instead of provolone melted on top. Also they did a small order of fried mushrooms with the tiger dill horseradish sauce for $4.49 (ask-its not on the menu) and a good ceasar side salad with extra parmesan; it had nice crispy lettuce. I asked them to hold off on firing my ribeye to give me time to eat part of the above and I asked them to pick out a ribeye with a bigger crown portion that was well-marbled and cooked medium rare with a baked potato and asparagus. They picked out an excellent ribeye that was perfectly cooked with a warm red center and gave me extra béarnaise sauce. My server, Ashley P., did an excellent job of attending to all the details and sides I asked for. I spent $50 with tip for 4 courses and had plenty left over for lunch the next day, so I think you get a lot of quality at Outback for reasonable prices. I don't like any of the other cheaper or mid-range steakhouse chain restaurants because they cut cost and quality by using nasty hydrogenated margarine or whipped topping on desserts instead of real butter and real whipped cream like Outback uses. Most other chain restaurants also don't have good accompanying scratch-made dressings, sauces, desserts and hand-breaded mushrooms etc....I don't want pre-made, pre-breaded, previously frozen, GMO-laden, nuked crap on a plate with no taste or nutrients!.... I wished that I had had room left for their Thunder Down Under dessert, but didn't, so I didn't indulge this time. But I've had it before and highly recommend it because its a made-from-scratch brownie heated with ice cream, real whipped cream and a great house-made dark chocolate sauce on top! No overly-sweet, GMO-laden Hersey's chocolate syrup here...Next time! read more

Okay so usually my reviews for an outback are not good. Me and my family have had some horrible experiences at outbacks in Orlando and refused to go to another outback. But on my birthday my husband took us here and wow' the customer service was AMAZING. I honestly wish I remembered her name, cause she was great. Even when she wasn't around, we were constantly asked from other workers if we needed anything. Also, my biggest thing is to not be rushed when eating. I like to enjoy my food and take things slow. She was in no way rushing us, it was great! Told my husband we'll def. be back which doesn't come out of my about outback. :) read more

This outback is underwhelming in every way possible. Except for the awesome porch where you will probably be waiting for your table (you called ahead for) at least an hour. Their host/hostess situation is ridiculous! Why are there 5 people up there all trying (unsuccessfully) to use this computer system that seems to be way over everyone's head? And I have been there 3 times in the past 4 months, nothing's changed! So If the food was still outback I might have to give them a better score but unfortunately it is not. I have rarely found an outback that I can't recognize the food, but this one is blowing it. And the food is never hot. And the salads are way overdressed. Ughhh, I am desperately hoping that outback corporate will be checking up on this new store because I was really excited to have an outback nearby read more
