    Outback Steakhouse in Lexington, South Carolina (Sunset Blvd) really impressed me tonight. I stopped in during the dinner rush right after work and was immediately greeted, seated, and welcomed by my server--all within moments. He got my drink order right away, and I was ready to place my full order, which he took and entered without delay. My salad came out quickly and was spot-on: fresh, crisp lettuce with no onion or tomato just like I requested, and the croutons were perfectly crunchy. The bread was soft, warm, and exactly what you hope for at Outback. My steak arrived cooked to perfection--medium, just like I ordered--and had that signature Outback flavor. The broccoli was fantastic, not overcooked or mushy, just fresh and well-prepared. The shrimp were also a win--definitely better than my last Outback visit elsewhere. What really stood out was the service. My server was on point all night and even offered me a to-go unsweet tea for the road, which I really appreciated. That kind of thoughtful touch speaks volumes. I also noticed great teamwork across the staff--everyone seemed to work in sync, which kept everything running smoothly despite the dinner rush. All in all, it was a solid dining experience, and this visit definitely lands in the "better Outback experiences" pile.

    Absolutely a wonderful and perfect date night. My husband and our son and daughter-in-law. We had a wonderful server Raegan, she took care of us. The manger was fantastic, he offered tot ale photos of us and even joined in a photo with us. So much fun. We loved our food, it was phenomenal! Everything came quickly, served hot and just how we ordered it.

    We came here for my grandma's 76th birthday lunch and were incredibly disappointed. A family member called to make a reservation for our party of 10 several days ago and was told that the reservation had been placed, but upon arriving several minutes before the reserved time, it seemed that the reservation was either forgotten about or ignored. We waited for 30 minutes with no end in sight before asking to just split our group into 2 tables, which ended up being on opposite sides of the restaurant. If a large group reservation wasn't something they were able to accommodate, I wish they would have told us that several days ago so that we could make other arrangements. It took 1 hour for our table of 4 to get our food after being seated. The menus were all gross and filthy somehow despite this place being new (see photo). The steaks were not great. Everyone agreed that the mac & cheese bites were very dry and flavorless. The caesar salad dressing was just really off flavor-wise. The mashed potatoes, baked potatoes, and fries were good, so I guess potatoes are the way to go here. The Outback Boomarita Flight for $10 was really the highlight and the blackberry margarita was a favorite. We asked a woman who appeared to be a manager or supervisor if the staff could sing happy birthday to my grandma, who had wanted to go to Outback for her 76th birthday. At that point, 3 or 4 other tables had already been sung to around us by the staff. She said she would make it happen, but no one ever came. It was incredibly disappointing and truly the final cherry on top of this bad experience that no one ended up singing to her despite not just one, not two, but THREE different party members asking 1) the waitress, 2) the hostess over the phone, 3) the hostess at the front today, and 4) the manager/supervisor for her to be sung to on her birthday. I hope that they are able to improve upon their organization and service quality in the future, but I don't think we will be returning.

    Went last night and it was a terrible experience!!!! We had a call ahead and didn't get sat until about 40 minutes!! Then it took about twenty minutes before we even got our drinks, and then it took almost an hour and half before we even got food. I also got a French fry in my salad that was all terrible. Do not go here

    My little family and I came here for dinner on a Monday evening around 6pm. It was pretty packed and there was a 45 minute wait, but we didn't mind the wait. We hung out at the long bar top in the bar area. We were actually seated 35 minutes into our wait, which was great. Our server was great. When it comes to the food, it took a long time for it to come to our table. It's okay because it's to be expected on a busy dinner night. At this point, these were all nonissues to us. When our food came to our table, everything came out correctly. My filet mignon with lobster was absolutely perfect! I mean there was a harmony of flavors going on in my mouth when I took that first bite. A+ chef! The loaded potato was not great. In fact, it wasn't hot and didn't appear to be freshly baked based on how the "melted cheese" wasn't melted and the potato texture wasn't fluffy, but chunky. The asparagus was good. My youngest son liked his cheeseburger very much. My oldest son enjoyed his sirloin steak with macaroni and cheese and potatoes. My husband, however, was disappointed upon the arrival of his boned in ribeye (24 oz maybe?). First thing he noticed was how thin the steak was. The next thing he noticed was how there wasn't much of a bone in his steak at all. There was a very small, thin 3 inch sliver of a bone at the top of his steak when he flipped it over. Then, he sliced it and it was well done, after he ordered it to be cooked medium rare. At that moment, I told him to be "that guy" because he was willing to eat it even with the disappointing cut of meat, but when it came out opposite temperature of what he ordered, that was unacceptable. We showed our server and she was genuinely shocked and disappointed too. She brought it back and when the manager gave my husband a new steak, it was a MUCH better piece of meat, with a real good bone in the middle of it and it was a perfect medium rare. Redemption! Everything about our experience was great except my husband's steak. When you go out to a steakhouse to eat steak, you expect a good steak.

We were expecting that the main dish (chicken & bacon) to be at least 25% of the portion size. We did enjoy our lunch options, but after spending $32+ we were both still hungry. It kind of gives us like a Spanish vibe, probably because it consists of a certain spice or Jalapeños (my guess), but that does not make it spicy! All it does is adds complexity to the flavor. Our daughter ordered crab cake Eggs Benedict which features a creole sauce. She enjoyed it, but the temperature of the dish could have been hotter. Our niece's daughter had the farmers omelette with the apple sage sausage. The apple-sage sausages were excellent (I got to sample one) and a very good deal. The ambience of Halls is always great. The service is usually quite good and the food is usually excellent. This is our second brunch at Halls and I'll have to say that our first brunch experience was a little bit better for the reasons noted above. I still rate it the best brunch in town.

You can tell the kitchen has potential when the food is prepared properly, but consistency is the issue. The ambience is very cool and visually appealing. It is a bit dark for my personal preference in the evening, but I can imagine it being bright and beautiful during the daytime. The cocktail I ordered was just okay and didn't really stand out. Overall, there is definitely potential here, but improvements in consistency, service attentiveness, and food quality control would really elevate the experience.
