Ribeye and coconut shrimp
Christal W.

So for the second quarter in a row, my daughter made honor roll at her school and she asked could we have a family dinner out, and of course we were happy to oblige. We got there was seated immediately and our drinks orders were taken. After that, our appetizers and shortly thereafter our main dishes are ordered. Our waiter Amajai was incredible. He was attentive, apologetic when our mains took a little longer than normal to come out, and he served us with a smile the entire time. He was not flustered; he was not overwhelmed. He managed our table of six flawlessly. He not only ensured that we had what we wanted, but he made sure we had what we needed. He commandeered our table like a consummate professional. I haven't had service that well in a very, very, very long time. I would go back and ask for him to be our server again and again and again. I am so glad that our large group was assigned to him. The food was good. Everything came out hot and fresh and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. My daughter was given a complementary dessert to end her meal (because Amajai cared enough to ask if we were celebrating anything special that night) and although she had it to go, she could not have been more pleased with her special outing. Thanks again Amajai for such a wonderful experience.

Three Cheese Spinach Dip

I frequent this location at least once a week. This week I went twice. During lunch on a weekday and Saturday afternoon. I had to return during the week because I was served expired green beans. The manager was more confrontational than comforting. She replaced the side and that was it. On Saturday, I dined in and the food was incredible. The waitress took so long to greet me but she apologized and provided excellent service for the remainder of the day. My spinach dip, salmon, wine, sides were all delicious!! The leftovers were still divine the next day.

Medium rare top sirloin steak Aussie fries & broccoli

I'm not sure how Outback steakhouse always manages to prepare my steak perfectly but they do. I eat my steak medium rare. It's always juicy, tender and flavorful down to the last forkful. Although it's delivered through GrubHub, it's always at a safe temperature. I miss the wonderful ambiance that Outback offers, but right now I'm recovering from multiple surgeries so I have to enjoy their wonderful delicacies at home!! Thank you Outback steakhouse for bringing me comfort from "Down Under"!! P.S. The Sweet potatoes are the best EVER!!

Wings, Bloomin Shrimp, blooming Bloomin' Onion, side of Fresh Steamed Seasonal Veggies

This was a lazy Saturday lunch outing where we didn't want to spend a whole lot of money but wanted variety and something that would fill us up. We were not disappointed! For starters, the service was great, our server was super attentive (I forgot her name). However, she was super polite and was never gone for long. It wasn't super crowded but it was a decent amount of people but still not too loud. We got the wings in the hot flavor with ranch and blue cheese, the blooming onion, the blooming shrimp and a side of veggies. I also had a rum punch and he got the new old fashioned which was very good. We were 100% satisfied. I was super surprised at the number of shrimp we got considering you only get about 8 or so with the coconut shrimp. I would definitely recommend dining at this location especially over the Waldorf location. I'll be back soon!

Definitely not rare and too thin for bone in ribeye.
Al G.

Don't order to go as they don't care to get orders correct or fix them. I ordered this $35 bone in ribeye and asked for rare. They provided a steak that was thin, tough, and more than well done. The salad was mostly center chunks from iceberg lettuce which is almost inedible. I have tried ordering to go multiple times and each time they prove they don't care about to go customers.

We completely understand that restaurants get busy -- especially on weekends -- but being essentially turned away because it was "too busy" was unacceptable. There was no real attempt to accommodate us, no clear communication about realistic wait times, and no effort to make us feel valued as customers. For a place that markets itself as family-friendly and big on hospitality, this experience fell far short. This wasn't just a random dinner -- it was my toddler's birthday. We chose this restaurant expecting a welcoming atmosphere and a memorable experience for our family. Instead, we left feeling frustrated, inconvenienced, and honestly embarrassed after building up the excitement for him. Busy is understandable. Poor guest management and lack of care -- especially when a young child's birthday is involved -- is not. I truly hope ownership and management take situations like this seriously. Families choose your establishment for special occasions, and how situations like this are handled speaks volumes. Highly dissatisfied with this experience.

As we pulled into the parking lot, it looked very busy. There were a lot of people standing outside and several near the entrance. As we got closer, we realized most of them were actually leaving, which was a good sign. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and seated right away. As it turned out, the gentleman who seated us was also our server. He brought us water and an iced tea while we looked over the menu. We decided to start with the fresh baby kale salad from the specials menu. It included fresh apples, pears, blue cheese, pecans, and a delicious vinaigrette. Shortly after, our server returned with bread and took our dinner order. My wife ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, and I ordered the Lamb Ragu special with homemade pasta. The salad arrived looking beautiful, and it tasted just as good as it looked. The apples and pears were fresh, sweet, and cut perfectly. The vinaigrette complemented everything without overpowering the ingredients. It was a great start to the meal. One thing I really appreciated was that our entrées didn't come out immediately after we finished the salad. We had a chance to relax and enjoy the evening. Sometimes a salad can fill you up, so it was nice to have a little break before the main course arrived. When our meals came out, both dishes looked amazing. Our server offered additional cheese for the pasta dishes. My wife added a little to hers, but I wanted to experience the Lamb Ragu exactly as the chef intended. The Fettuccine Alfredo was excellent. You could tell they use fresh cream, cheese, and butter to make the sauce. It was rich, creamy, and full of flavor. My Lamb Ragu was outstanding. The lamb was incredibly tender, and the sauce paired perfectly with the homemade pasta. I cleaned my plate. For dessert, we shared a slice of lemon cheesecake. My advice: don't share it--get your own slice. It was that good. The coffee was excellent as well and was the perfect way to finish the meal. We can't wait to return. The food here is consistently amazing, and the service is top-notch. What really stood out was the teamwork among the staff. You don't just have one server taking care of you. If our tea or water was getting low, someone was always there to refill it. Excellent food, excellent service, and a wonderful dining experience from start to finish.

I wish I knew her name because I would absolutely share and recommend her 100%. She, plus the food, really cheered me up that day and that's kind of rare. It's rare to go somewhere new and fully have your spirits lifted. We tried the crab balls, the surf and turf with steak, added scallops and some sides. It was so good. The seafood, the steak, everything was cooked to perfection. It was very filling too. I think my favorite side was the rice. I did like the macaroni but I was unexpectedly blown away by the rice. Looking back, I probably should have left then, but I was hungry, so I stayed. Once seated, I asked for the crab dip, only to find out they no longer had it. I then ordered the lamb chops, which I had enjoyed during my previous two visits. This time, however, they came out extremely pink and undercooked. I was shocked. The waitress told me they "don't cook them well done," but offered to take them back and have them cooked a little longer. Unfortunately, when they returned, they were still pink/red and literally bleeding. The waitress then said she was going to get "Mama" from the back. I told her that wasn't necessary if the restaurant simply does not prepare lamb chops well done anymore. I was very disappointed and didn't realize things had changed over the last few months. It's the kind of sensory preview that makes you quicken your step. The restaurant is bookable via Resy, making it an easy choice for those looking to apply dining credits from American Express Gold or Platinum cards, always a welcome convenience when planning a night out. Despite being a weekday, the dining room was notably busy, buzzing with the energy of what feels like a family-run establishment. There's a warmth to the atmosphere, personal, lived-in, and authentic, that suggests a loyal local following. That said, it was clear the crowd may have slightly outpaced staffing levels. While the service itself was courteous and attentive, there were noticeable delays with drinks and refills, understandable, though worth mentioning. We started with the Southern Maryland Crab Dip, which delivered solid flavor and a generous blend of cheese and crab. I would have welcomed a bit more artichoke heart for balance, and perhaps an additional slice or two of bread. With only four slices provided, the ratio leaned heavily in favor of the dip, fortunate in abundance, but impractical in execution, as even those slices were quickly overwhelmed. The Chicken Kabob proved to be a reliable and satisfying choice, tender, well-seasoned, and thoughtfully plated. The accompanying sides of sautéed broccoli and grilled zucchini were properly portioned, with the zucchini sliced just thick enough to retain its texture and flavor. When deciding between the Makaronia Me Kima, Basil Pesto, Galazio Special Carbonara, and Pastitsio, I deferred to the waiter's recommendation. Without hesitation, he pointed to the Pastitsio, a choice that paid off. Comforting and familiar, it's a dish many have enjoyed in different forms without necessarily knowing its proper name. The portion was generous enough to leave me with leftovers, which made for an excellent lunch the following day. Dessert brought the evening to a high note with the Greek Chocolate Mousse Cake. Lighter than expected, it avoided the density often associated with chocolate desserts while still delivering richness and satisfaction. The portion was ample and easily shareable. Overall, it was a very good dining experience, welcoming, flavorful, and largely well-executed. One small disappointment, however, came in the form of a missed detail. When booking, the reservation notes requested acknowledgment of my GF's birthday, not a complimentary dessert or special treatment, just a simple candle to mark the occasion. Unfortunately, it went unnoticed. It's a minor thing in the grand scheme, but one that matters in moments meant to be remembered. Had I known it wouldn't be honored, I would have brought a candle myself. That aside, the experience was still a positive one. I would recommend the restaurant and expect to return. With just a bit more attention to the finer details, it could easily elevate itself from good to truly memorable.

It was bustling and felt like a speakeasy in DC...quiet on the outside and a nice buzz of activity on the inside. The inside décor was unique and had a stage area, a bar about as huge or long as the restaurant, and lots of high-top tables with a few low top tables. There was also a party area. I am so surprised to find this place in Port Tobacco, I can't believe I haven't heard about it until recently. The waitress came over multiple times during our dining experience to check on us. My favorite part of the meal was when the Owner of the restaurant came over to personally introduce himself to us, compliment me, and proceed to have a conversation with us. That is outstanding customer service and will ensure you can bring people back. He told us some of the back story of the restaurant, made jokes, told us not to wait too long to return, and even gave us coffee and carrot cake dessert on the house (i.e. that he bragged his wife makes in house)!! I didn't know people still did that. I felt like one of those privileged rich kids with all the connections. That's a first for me. It was very memorable. FOOD We got the pork belly for appetizer, and the special of short ribs, brussel sprouts, and mashed potatoes. The pork belly was excellent and it came with some sort of sweet potato hash under it. I honestly would like more of that as a full meal. The short ribs were also good, lean, and not overly sauced like at some places. The brussels had just enough crunch, and the mashed potatoes were perfectly seasoned. PARKING Parking is lot parking that wraps around the side. They had a few handicap spaces and some areas on the side that look perfect for motorcycles. Somehow no matter when you come you can find a spot. Apparently, they have nights where they also have live music. I will definitely return for one of those events or just because.
