It also seemed to be a bit more greasy My order wasn't correct but I believe the server was somewhat new and admitted it was his error and not the kitchen Service was good as for ambience I'm not sure it's changed much since the day they first opened I was impressed that this server admitted his mistake and therefore he received his full tip and no complaints or requested refunds, etc., for the mistakes. I recently visited Outback Steakhouse for Mother's Day and let me tell you, it was a fantastic dining experience! I had been craving prime rib, and that's exactly what I ordered. The moment I took my first bite, I was in heaven. The prime rib was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy. It had been so long since I had prime rib, and this one did not disappoint! Especially with the creamy horseradish sauce I had to dunk it in!! To start off the meal, I decided to upgrade my side to a wedge salad with blue cheese and balsamic on top. Let me just say, it was amazing! The combination of the creamy blue cheese and the tangy balsamic dressing was a match made in salad heaven. It was the perfect way to awaken my taste buds before diving into the main course. Speaking of sides, I also had a side of mashed potatoes, which were creamy and flavorful. They complemented the prime rib beautifully. And to wash it all down, I was treated to a peach Bellini with a couple of pieces of strawberry in it. The fruity flavors mixed with the bubbly goodness made for a refreshing and delightful drink. By the end of the meal, I was so full that I couldn't finish everything on my plate. We had dinner at this location after being at a local winery. It's tucked back off the road, but boy we're they busy the entire time we were there. We had a great experience. Our waiter Ike, was awesome. Super funny and witty, personable, and helpful. Ask for him, you won't be disappointed. The food is always consistent at Outback. The bread was delicious with the honey butter. We went straight to our entrees. I don't know what it is about the house salads at Outback, but they are one of my favorites. So simple, yet so delicious! Outback now has a Wedge Salad. For a $1 extra, you can add that onto your meal which my friend did. She loved it, and the presentation was mouth watering. We both got the filet mignon, but I added the grilled shrimp to mine. Our meat was cooked to perfection and very tender. I got a sweet potato and she got loaded mashed potatoes. My husband and I both ordered the 13oz ribeye. They were both very thin and had a lot of gristle. The worst part though was that they were so salty that we each only ate about a third of the steak. We told the waitress and she said that next time we should order it lightly seasoned. They didn't bring my salad until I asked for it, which was when the entrees were brought out. However the manager came through and got really sparky and rude over to go boxes sitting near our table. Then when I explained that they where left for us. He really got rude. We checked the reviews and were wary, but with Outback's cred, decided to "risk" it. This place is well run. Attentive manager and exceptional waitress in Morgan. Their double sides and $10 take home offer made it all the better. Our steaks were perfectly cooked. The broccoli is always delicious. The salads crisp and cold. We have changed our "go to" for an evening meal. We did dine at 7:30, so the quick service was prob a given, but the kitchen was on point. All around deserving of 5 stars. Ordered a bone in ribeye for pickup. Had one about 7 months ago from the Hendersonville, NC location and it was great. This time however it was probably the worst steak I've ever had. The steak was barely 3/8" thick and it was very rare to raw, I ordered med rare. There was only a splinter of a bone not a full rib bone. The steak had a huge amount of fat and had a lot of gristle. Our table was very clean and our server, Morgan, was so friendly and fast! The manager, Mark, came up to us and started chatting with us about different topics that we both found interesting. *Experience during Covid-19* Came in recently one evening around 8pm for dinner with my mom and sister. The parking lot looked very full so I was surprised when we came in the restaurant to find it was not that busy. Tables were spaced out to allow for social distancing and we were sat with no issue. I ordered the Alice Springs chicken entree, my mom went with a salad, and my sister with a medium ribeye. Despite the fact that it wasn't super busy there was a lot of lag in between the times our waiter checked in on us. We ran out of our drinks multiple times and when the food was dropped off we didn't see our waiter for around 15 minutes. This was problematic because my sister's steak was awful. Not only was it cooked more medium well, but the meat itself was tough and extremely chewy. We've both always had great steak experiences with Outback so we knew this wasn't the norm. It took so long waiting for our waiter that my sister ultimately had to end up walking around the restaurant to find him. At this point, however, the staff kicked it into overdrive and cooked her up a brand new entree (she went with the Alice Springs chicken because mine was so yummy). As my mother and I were finishing our meals, the manager on duty brought the new entree out and removed the steak from the ticket with his apologies. We went for my friend's bday. I added us to the waitlist thinking 1pm on a Sunday might be pretty busy. We get seated right away, except the table is dirty so we are left standing around other people's table while they are eating. That was a bit awkward. The hostess wipes the table down leaving it very wet and we go ahead and sit. I'm drying off the table with a napkin, assuring the waitress all is well, just don't want to have wet arms. She isn't exactly pushy but we literally just sat down and haven't picked the menus up yet so a couple of mins please before we know of anything we want. She comes back, we order, all is well. It's not terribly busy, quite a few empty tables. We get our Blooming onion... no complaints. She keeps our drinks full, every thing is going fine. Onion is gone, salads are gone just waiting on the entrees.... And keep waiting. Ahh they finally come out. 3/5 people food are wrong in some way. Nothing crazy but like bacon and onion on the baked potato when asked for neither to be. 2 people had burgers- both said they weren't good and neither ate more than a bite. This is my second time visiting "Outback Steakhouse" and both times on a Saturday. The wait is about an hour! It's really busy inside, which I understand. The food was great!! We were so hungry we ordered couple menus! And we ate all of the food except the Bloomin* Fried shrimp, (it was a bit over fried, but still good to eat) The bread was really good with both the sweet & salted butter! Definitely would recommend this place!! Only one con, we hate the menu!! The menu doesn't have pictures! I totally understand English etc,, but having to read through a bazillion similar dishes, is bit overwhelming for me and my husband. We wish more restaurants would prefer picture menus! As a all lot of the guests would have a better variety of what they would prefer, with a picture menu.. (Also especially for the foreign people who don't understand fully English, but love to go out to eat. They would have more places to come enjoy American delicious dishes, if only more restaurants would have more picture menus!) read more

Don't usually give poor reviews. First time here. Usually a crowd so thought we would try it out. Even called ahead for a reservation. Service was really terrible. Waited for everything. 35 minutes to get entree after finishing meager salad that required our group to plead for a bit more dressing. Steaks were delivered in varying states of "doneness" with no attention to which steak belonged with which person in our group. Snippy waitress, poorly prepared steak, over-buttered potatoes, etc... really bad experience. Don't waste your money - lots of local restaurants that appreciate your business. read more

We ordered a blooming onion, French onion soup and a steak salad. We asked to have the blue cheese crumbles left off and we wanted branch dressing. When the manager brought the blooming onion out she apologized stating they're onions were subpar, they had tried it twice and this.was as good as it was going to get. It was small, crunchy and greasy but she was going to comp it.i thought she cares about the quality. Next came a soggy limp steak salad with blue cheese crumbles and blue cheese vinegarette dressing all over. She apologized took it back and evidently picked all the blue cheese off and brought the same soggy salad back. My husband at the steak and a little of the salad but she did bring a better fresh salad without dressing on it and some ranch. We asked about the the soups. We were told they're coming. Kitchen was panicked about losing electricity. After our salad were almost done the soup finally came out. It was Luke warm and the cheese only partially melted. Our waitress apologized a zillion times that this was only her 6th shift. She should have been still working with someone else until she was competent. The worst dinner of our vacation. read more

My salad with *rare* steak came out dry (cucumber slices were curling at the edges) with strips of steak cooked to well-done. While the salad was removed from the bill and we weren't charged for the shrimp, an apology from the manager just didn't quite cut it. Couldn't wait to leave and get some food. Being at the peak of the COVID crisis, I opted to pick up at their location. I was able to order online and within a fairly short wait of 45 minutes... I was greeted at the curb with a friendly face to pick up the Wednesday special meal- consisting of a 6oz filet and fries for just $10.99. I should have checked the bag. Upon arriving home and unpacking dinner, all the anticipation leading up to this point was completely deflated by the underwhelming quantities in the containers. Less than a handful of soggy cold fries surrounded the 6 oz filet... and the shrimp that I paid $4 extra for were overcooked, overspiced...but, certainly not oversized. We're dealing with the COVID virus, not the potato famine. We all know that french fries are a cheap way of filling a customer's stomach for next to nothing...good for kitchen costs and great for customers... Win-win! So why are there only a dozen of them in my container? To be honest, the only redeeming parts of the meal were the quality of the meat in the 6 oz filet and the greasy-glistening goodness that is the Bloomin' Onion. Okay, Maybe the kitchen messed up. Wait 25 mins for the server to come by. Our drinks have been long empty. He's checking on other tables, has yet to come see us. I order sweet potato. He did not tell me they were out of sweet taters. And I would have thought they ran out with tickets before mine but Immediately after we order the manager comes by and says they have been out of sweet potato's. My husband gets the blooming burger. Out comes not a blooming burger but a regular burger. We let him know about 15 mins later when we finally spot him. and he tells us I see the blooming sauce. I take apart the whole burger and nothing on it. As well as blooming pedals are also suppose to be on it. I'm still waiting on my dressing for my salad that comes before the food. . 30 mins later. I'm still waiting on my A1 sauce. He does not come and check on us those entire 30 mins. Another 10 goes by and I'm still waiting for my A1 and drinks. His burger comes back and it's rare. He ordered medium. My steak is cold waiting on the A1. Keep in mind we STILL don't have refills that we ask for every time he comes by. He asks if we're ready for the check. We say yes and 2 boxes please (because our food was not cooked and cold at this point we were ready to get out) he says okay. Is gone for another 15 minutes. Our check has 2 blooming burgers on it. He has to leave to go take it off and is gone for another 10. He never once asked out how we were doing except when he asked us for the check. I placed a to go order here for A MED RARE 15 oz ribeye and by the time I finished my order was over 30$ for my meal. I don't think I should have to rip into it in the parking lot to check that it's cooked properly. Binions always gets the doneness on spot, why can't Outback? (Next time I want steak, I'll go back there) I'm very unhappy with this because it's between medium well and well done, which completely changes the taste and texture of the meat. Times ate tough and it hurts to spend that much on a meal one is looking forward to, to only be disappointed that it doesn't even taste good. And I don't even know what kind of salad dressing was in my order. It was not a vinegrette or a Caesar. This outback location is usually a hit or miss. If you go on a busy day or a weekend, the food is always spot-on; hot and fresh. However on the weekdays when I have been and it is slower, the food doesn't seem to be as fresh. The service is a little spotty, some of the waiters are very good and others seem to be running a bit behind. The restaurant has plenty of seating but there is usually a pretty long wait so I would suggest joining the wait list ahead of time. read more

What he got was a hockey puck that looked nothing like the picture, no gravy and burned on both sides. He got 2 baked potatoes, and no vegetables. when I called to complain, the manager assured me, he was going to send a card to reimburse the meal the following Monday. The wait at curbside was over 12 mins before we even saw a person. Turned out we had been sitting looking at our order thru the glass door! Got home and prime was medium, no pink no red, just gray. The Au jus sauce was more like steak sauce, dark brown almost black. If this is your idea of great food, the Outback Hendersonville is the place to eat.
