We had a great experience at Outback Steakhouse. We stopped by late in the evening for dinner, and right away we loved the atmosphere. It's a spacious steakhouse with that classic American feel - lots of wood, warm lighting, and a relaxed, welcoming vibe that makes you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in. The place has a subtle Australian theme and a casual, friendly setting where you can just sit back, enjoy your meal, and have a good time. The service was excellent - our server was very kind, attentive, and professional. Even though we came in later at night, everything went smoothly and we never felt rushed. The food was outstanding. The steak was juicy, perfectly cooked to our liking, and full of flavor. Portions are generous, and you can really tell the quality is there. The drinks paired nicely with the meal, and the dessert was the perfect sweet finish. Overall, we left very satisfied. Great food, great atmosphere, and great service - everything you'd expect from a steakhouse. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend this place! read more

The salad wasn't fresh, I ordered an appetizer of fried mushrooms the mushrooms were almost burnt and soaked in grease really greasy and it tasted like the mushrooms were from a can they were kind of gross. This is the second time I've been to outback in mesquite in 4 months and their food is just not tasteful at all. I won't be going back here to eat. The server was amazing he needs to work at a better restaurant cuz this is not a good restaurant. read more

It's filthy in here. You should see all the dirt, debris and roof leaks on the ceiling. The HVAC intakes on the ceiling are filthy. I'm surprised that they haven't been shut down. They are painting over the hvac air registers and ceiling panels, rather than replacing them. Also, the bloomin onion, is a bloomin disaster. It's double cooked in dirty grease which tastes horrible and causes scorched onions. See photos of black burnt onion. I will try and upload pics of ceiling. My entree was cold. #shocker. Came here after eating at another place, we were headed for Christmas shopping. The young lady who was our server was fantastic. The food here was top quality. The steaks that were cooked and served were cooked perfect. The restrooms were clean, the inside was organized and thank goodness sports was not on a dozen TV sets. The salads were great and the blooming onion was wonderful. We were told the meat was top grade A hand picked. Nothing was tough and stringy. It was not crowded or noisy. We will go back. read more

I can't say enough about Jonathan, I ordered a very large dinner, 7 entrees; a few sides and an appetizer, and Jonathan's customer service was unparalleled. He delivered the food extremely fast only took about 20 minutes tops and was so friendly and professional and also took the initiative to double the order without me asking him to. I don't know his position in the restaurant but he would definitely be the ideal manager with his level of skillset and professionalism. This was a quiet, and nice outing to enjoy a few a few appetizers and sweet drinks. I never really go to outback but I've heard many rave reviews for the wings. If you ever been to an Outback, you know the ambiance, pretty simple in design and reminiscent of the Australian Outback, in a formulaic kind of way. The formulaic extends from the decor to the food. Here you will pay steakhouse prices for pretty standard food. No way you can classify this food beyond just okay. Our service was just okay too: it started out at a 3 and fizzled throughout the experience to a 2. The wile experience amounts to a little over a 2, so I will round up to a 3. We dine at Outback about once a quarter and we always sit at the bar. We came during a peak time so we could watch the hockey game. The bartender greeted us quickly and had our beverage of choice to us within 5 minutes of us sitting down. Our food was cooked correctly and hot and overall it was just a good experience. We always order the fried mushrooms for an appetizer and they are amazing! They serve ranch dressing to dip them in which is awesome. The service is adequate, depending on how busy they are. We're never disappointed at this location it's our go-to. They are a bit pricey though, and the ambiance is pretty boring. But you don't go for the ambiance you go for the food. Went to Outback Steak house this morning, in Garland near the GWB tollway, just before the noon hour. We had awesome blossom onion and cheese bites for appetizers, they were both warm and good tasting. I had a salad, chicken tenders and rice, others had the steak with mixed veggies, and pasta shrimp with alfredo sauce. To top it off we had the butter cake that was so very unique!! It was cut in 3 sections perfect for the 3 of us.. it was a hard thick shortbread cookie with strawberries and cream with a hint of mint on top. This was a birthday occasion so we went upmarket on the things we had at the table but everything was just fine, as per usual/ Thank you for the great time. I wanted to post how impressed I was with the service at the Garland Outback yesterday. Sydney and Collin were just fantastic and deserve recognition. My to go order was a tiny bit slow coming out, so Collin got me a drink while I waited. I bet I had 2 or 3 other employees ck on me in the short 10 minutes I was there. Sydney was super sweet too. I really appreciate that because I can tell you that our other to go place, On the Border has really crappy customer service and has for years now. We still like the food, so we go. After picking up my togo order that was missing the mashed potatoes in my order I called and explained to the person that answered the phone what had happened. He then put a manager on the phone that I got to explain the situation to all over again. The manager said. " I can refund you $2 which is basically refunding you the tip" Not only did I not receive all of my meal, my husbands salad was full of brown pieces of lettuce making 1/2 of it inedible. The medium rare steak he'd asked for was very rare and yeah we could have finished cooking it ourselves in the oven but he opted to only eat a few bites and be done with this place once and for all. read more

Anytime I just want some steak and bread, this is one of my go-to's. I really like their cocktail menu as well and the beer selection. Most recently I got their margarita boomarita sampler, which is kind of like a beer or whiskey flight but of margaritas. It was so flavorful and not as expensive as I would have thought. Also, I got the steak and shrimp with alfredo noodles plate. I love getting shrimp with alfredo, instead of chicken and love steak, so this was a perfect combination for me and definitely satisfied all my cravings. After the margaritas, I even had a nice cold beer. I would definitely get these items again. The service and location is great as usual. My only issue is the waiting area seems more like a lounge area for kids than a seating space with all the ottomans. Also, it is right in front as you walk in the main entrance and not sectioned off. Love this location. Everything was on point. My Aussie seasoned prime rib was great and my wife's Ribeye and shrimp were excellent. Our server Suraj was attentive and welcoming (summer intern) and manager Jeff checked on us and ensured we were satisfied. Our meal and experience was as good as many of the fine-dining steakhouses at half the price...this was an anniversary meal and we felt pampered and appreciated. The manager seemed to be more interested in having a conversation with the hostess than helping the staff. He brought out a burnt blooming onion and was angry when we asked to bring out a new one. I like Outback Steakhouse. This location in Garland, TX 75040 had the best salmon I've had at any restaurant: juicy, tender, well-seasoned. I had a choice of 2 sides, both deliciously flavored mashed potatoes & mac n' cheese. Service was quick and great. The warm bread is always good at Outback too. My friend and I enjoyed our food, plus dessert - delicious and thick NY cheesecake w/ chocolate sauce. Yum. Kudos to the cook; our server Payton and Luke - the manager who checked on us. I've ordered here plenty of times and even went in but this last time I'm done. I ordered me and my husbands food online and it was easy right? There's a pay at the restaurant option which is convenient. My husband arrived to get the food he pays a young lady and proceeds to leave. He stated as soon as he walked out the door some girl came running behind him screaming "Wait you didn't pay for it, let me see your receipt". He said he showed the girl the receipt but it rubbed him the wrong way. Why the heck are you chasing him down? Is it because we are people of color? And you thought we couldn't afford the food? I'm just curious when he got home I immediately called the store and spoke to the "Manager" who tried to act as if it was just an honest mistake.
