I guess one star is as low as you can go. Took my wife out for Mother's Day and she was reasonably happy with her small lobster tails. I on the other hand, ordered a free blooming onion, which was burnt and tasted awful. At least it was free from joining their rewards program. Next step was a Caesar salad, which I ate about one bite of and pushed it aside. It was terrible. Next step was the Del Monaco ribeye steak, which they advertised as well marbled. Well marbled with gristle and fat that their steak knife couldn't even cut. It was cooked medium rare as I ordered, but after two or three bites, I slid that one aside also. 100 bucks for two meals. Well, my husband and I haven't been out for dinner in a long time and we have received two gift cards for outback so we decided to go there. We used to go many years ago, but due to the fact that we got grizzly stake two times in a row we decided to stop going there. So we figured we would give it another try. When we got there, there were no more than maybe 50 people in the whole place.(The parking lot was packed because of bonefish Grill next-door) The hostess was very respectful, seated us at a table and we sat there waiting 18 minutes for a waitress. The hostess then sat down two other gentlemen at the booth next to us. I said to the hostess we've been waiting here almost 20 minutes and we still have not seen our waitress. She apologized and said I will get her out here right away. We waited another six or seven minutes and the waitress comes out and goes to the table next to us. There is absolutely no reason in hell for anyone to have to wait almost 30 minutes in total to even see a waitress. We went across the street to Longhorn waited about seven minutes to be seated and the waitress came right over. We had our drinks our salad And our dinner on the table in less time than we waited at the outback just to see a waitress. read more

Sam our server/bar tender was attentive and engaging. There are three reasons why I did not give 5 stars: 1- the baked potato and was very under cooked. 2-the napkins used at the bar were just paper towels used in the restrooms. 3. There was what seemed to a gaggle of management trainees being trained, while the service suffered. The grey haired server with the glasses on her head was obvious in her justified frustration. So why did I give 4 stars?: Sam was a delight, the steaks were cooked as ordered and excellent quality. I ordered the Reef and Beef which I should have photographed. Stopped here Black Friday after spending the whole day shopping. Got some apps to split, all fried things which was probably a mistake. They were pretty good but the Bloomin Onion was drenched in grease and oil, started making me feel sick. Our server was very attentive, almost too attentive. The restaurant was empty so it explains this but I felt like I couldn't breathe without them coming to check on us. Also when processing our credit cards, he stood over us and watched us put in the tip which made me uncomfortable and probably got him a better tip than I would've normally done. We had a slight wait about 10-15 minutes, but called while enroute and was able to be placed on waitlist. My old fashioned was smoked filled which gave it a different taste (kinda like a wood fire taste) which wasn't bad at all. Service was not the greatest. We waited for a very long time for our meals to come out. Our server said it was because they were short staffed in the back and it did seem like there were plenty of other tables waiting to receive there food. Asked for a medium and it came charred. I attempted to eat it but was only able to force two pieces of steak in my mouth before I just gave up. Very disappointed in this location. I am in NJ for a week each month. Back home, this is my go to restaurant. Not so much here. Servers are friendly, but suck. How do I ask for a steak, salad and a soup for my meal. I tell them I am not in a hurry. Please don't turn in my steak order until I finish my soup and salad. They say they understand and got it. Steak arrives within 2 minutes of the salad. Last week, it actually arrived before the salad. Medium steak comes well done because it is so thin. Overall, just a poor excuse for a chain restaurant. I even asked for the manager once and he didn't show. He walked out of the kitchen, saw me and turned the other way. Chopped pecan salad is premade. Ok. Got it. Mixed results! I had the sirloin and chicken combo. My family member had the filet dish. The filet was cooked to perfection and was tender. The broccoli was a little mushy but ok. My chicken was good but the sirloin was tough and chewy. My broccoli was mushy. The worst part was the max n cheese. Elbow noodles with barely any cheese. First and foremost I don't appreciate being diverted to Grub Hub to place an order. And couldn't tell I was ordering via Grub Hub. After placing order I was told I would get a conf # when restaurant confirmed order. But was given an estimated time. I had to call Grub Hub because I never got conf. When I got there they had no record of an order. Finally found it because I wasn't a "takeaway" order and ordered thru Grub Hub they found it. Special instructions asked for was utensils. And no cheese on my chili. No utensils, and cheese. And no napkins. You offer, I ask, and nothing happens. Next review will be Grub Hub. Whatever happened to the good old days where a person can go to restaurant to place orders? Why is Door Dash and Grub Hub involved? Who involved them? Father's day of '24 @outback was great the service the food all top tier. Sadly today was a complete turn around. Our waiter completely forgot about us. I sat drinkless for over a half hour. I get it! Its a holiday and its busy, but when you see the favoritism the bigger party tables get opposed to a simple party of 3 your left with a sense of being forgotten. Which we were! Visted this restaurant tonight with my family. The service was pretty bad. We weren't given bread and butter had to ask for it. Ordered our drinks and an appetizer. Was served the appetizer before receiving drinks. Then drinks were finally brought as the waitress came over to take our orders fot dinner. Then when food came out our waitress never asked if the steaks were cooked proper or if we wanted refills on our drinks when the glasses were empty. I had to ask for refills. I went here for dinner on a Sunday afternoon with my fiancé. It was really good! It's been awhile since I've been to an Outback and I was really impressed with my experience. Our server was Taylor and she was excellent. I ordered the Grilled Chicken on the Barbie, with a side Caesar Salad and mashed potatoes. The food was amazing! I let my husband pick where we would go for lunch. I didn't object because the last time I was here(my last review) it wasn't bad. Against my better judgment, I ordered a salad. First it was $19, I know that's the going rate, but this salad needs a little more for that price. The lettuce was terrible, tasted weird like it was precut bagged lettuce, and the arugula was bad, brown, yellow. There wasn't enough dressing, but by the time my waiter came back, I was almost finished. I should have sent it back, but I was starving and I didn't feel like waiting for another meal. The worst part, was the restroom. The smell was horrendous, and it was filthy. There was trash and toilet paper all over. It was like a dirty gas station toilet instead of a restaurant. It wasn't busy and plenty of staff standing around, but those disgusting bathrooms are the managers fault. For that reason alone I will never go back there. read more

I usually don't go out for steak unless it is to Flemmings or Capital , but my son wanted steak for dinner and I am a rewards member so we came here. My server was friendly and took our order promptly. When the food came out though that's where everything fell apart. My son ordered the bone in rib eye but got a regular ribeye. Okay, small mistake but we will make do. Yeah, no. The steak he got was all fat and gristle. I know what you are thinking, "a ribeye is a fattier cut of meat."  We received  a '22oz" steak and only a 1/3 was not a chunk of fat. The line cook should have not put this steak out. I ordered the Porterhouse and that cut is supposed to be a sirloin and a small filet.....nope. It was all loin and a sliver of filet. I could have ordered a sirloin for half the price. My son ended up eating my steak and I did tell the waitress about his steak. The manager came over and was friendly. They took $10 off my son's steak and got a free dessert. I wish I could tell you this remedied it but when I got home and unpacked my to go dessert, the butter cake was still wrapped in the pre proportioned wax paper. As a former restaurant and back of the house manager this is a no no.  I do not expect Flemmings or Capital quality of steaks but I do expect better than Applebee's. With tip, 2 meals with no apps, drinks or dessert was $70. (always tip on what a bill should be with out a discount). At this point I would have been happier with Applebee's. I don't think I would come back to this location for food quality and it will be a long time before I'd consider Outback again in general. read more

I only started eating steak about one year ago . . . REALLY! I just never went for it as a kid and didn't try it until my boyfriend suggested it and then made it for me. I was in LOVE! My girlfriend and I now have been hitting the Marlton (NJ) Outback maybe once every two months. We order the same thing almost every time - the sirloin and (grilled) shrimp combo. Two sides come with it and it's usually a Caesar (theirs is great!) and grilled aspargus for me, a loaded baked potato and broccoli (a huge STALK!) for her. I like this Outback even better. The shrimp had a tastier sauce (not just butter) and the asparagus was cooked nicer plus was fresher. We all mopped up on our perfectly cooked steaks last night. My only disappointment (but maybe a savior?!) was that the 6 layer chocolate cake that is off the menu (not really - Marlton still has it if you ask for it) - is truly off the menu :( That sucker is sooooooooooo good - one of the best chocolate cakes I've ever had! Our waitress, Veronica, was friendly and attentive. Even brought my son a 2nd glass of milk w/out being asked. Their rewards club is so worth joining! Haven't really eaten here in a long time, my mother liked coming here for the coconut shrimp so driving by my wife and I decided to stop in for some lunch. When we walked in the hostess was more worried about looking at someone's pictures in their phone then seating us, just before I said something to her she decided to do her job a seat us. The restaurant is so dark during the day it makes you want to take a nap. Our waitress was fine no compliants there, but it did take a while to get our food and the restaurant wasn't busy at all. I ordered the coconut shrimp which were good I enjoyed them. My meal was whatever, I ordered the steak quesadillas kinda wish I didn't. Half of the Quesadilla didn't have any steak and there really wasn't much flavor. For the price we paid I feel as though I could have had a better meal elsewhere. read more

I went with a friend on Monday night. Why would a restaurant allow a supposed pan handler outside harassing their patrons before they enter? He relayed he would catch us for a donation on the way out. We left via the side entrance. We were placed next to a table that had huge piles of dirty dishes. Outback's corporate overseers seem to do a very good job maintaining consistency across their numerous locations. This location is no different. It is a perfectly serviceable mid-range steakhouse. If you come in with realistic expectations, you'll almost certainly have a perfectly fine but not exceptional experience. Food and service have been consistent in my three visits here, and curbside pickup during the COVID restrictions was efficient. Outback is what it is, so if you enjoy a middle-of-the-road corporate steakhouse, you'll be fine here, just don't expect anything more. read more

We got the ribs on the barbie and Alice Soring Chicken smothered in Monterey and cheddar cheese they were so succulent and delish. I gave in and had dessert cookie with caramel and lots of vanilla ice cream. Def worth gaining a pound. just so happy we were in the deptford mall and starving. so very pleased with everything and got seated immediately. We ordered dinner, our food was 15-20 mins later than the pickup time on our order confirmation. The young woman we spoke with at the pick up area was helpful, swift, and nice! So that alone would've been ok, however, the meats were all horribly overcooked, way past well done, and SO DRY! Any sort of pink wouldve been passable, but all of us ordered medium rare steaks and burgers... and this was so far from what we ordered. All of the sides were good; salads and potatoes were yummy! I ordered filet mignon and it was so unappetizing (something I've never said before). It was literally thrown into the box and got squished so that we didn't recognize it as steak, my kids thought it was the baked potato. Dang this place went down hill hard. I called ahead for seating. Got there and the manager was talking crap about one of their employees. Told the Bar seating was on hold because they didn't have anyone to work there.
