Had lunch here today. First time. Grayson was awesome bartender/server. Very attentive. Excellent food/drinks. Would definitely recommend.

Horrible service, smaller portions, higher prices, low quality food. I ordered a fillet medium, I received it rare. To fix that they tossed it on another plate and took it to what tasted like a pan and cooked it for 5 minutes more. The texture and taste after that was terrible. I haven't been to Outback since they changed their menu like 12 years ago; I likely will not ever be returning with this last experience. One of our favorite places to eat- service was good very attentive- (Paige)- I got blooming burger which was very good cooked perfectly - just had to add more bloom sauce- French fries though were just blah- hard and kinda cold- she kept us supplied with warm bread - my fiancé order 6oz filet with lobster- steak was cooked perfect but was very fatty - lobster was way over cooked - overall satisfied with meal. read more

This was the worst experence I have ever had at Outback in Covington, and I've been there many times, so that is,why I'm reporting it. Took my wife and her family for Easter dinner. Upon being seated, the tables were so greasy, we had to move and wash our hands and arms up to elbows. Server was not much better, as he took 20 minutes to bring water and take orders. Upon bringing salads and soups, he dropped a soup spoon, promising to get a replacement right away, it took 5+ minutes, which means soup is now cold. 2 minutes into eating starters, the main courses arrived. Baked potatoes that were suppose to have,all fixings on side, weren't brought out, so potatoes got cold as again we had to wait. Will be a long time before they see us again. Horrible. read more

We were unable to eat inside due to COVID restrictions. We had tried curbside pickup before, but decided to take advantage of the special offer for free delivery. We ordered around 8pm on a Thursday night. The delivery was timely, but unfortunately the accuracy was not great. There was a receipt on the outside of the bag itemizing everything that should have been in the bag that wasn't followed at all. Free delivery was not worth getting the wrong food items. read more

Service was amazing !!! Food was on point as well only problem was the asparagus. The flavor was just so off and left a bad taste in my mouth. My son Tevin and I Went on a Sunday evening for his birthday and we really had a fantastic time. Wait was not long at all considering the limited seating and our server Tina was absolutely awesome and made sure everything was on point, the service was impeccable. Following is copied and pasted form the email I sent through Outback's website regarding our visit on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at approximately 6:30 pm. I'm curious if this will get pulled form Yelp or not. I came to this location to use the free dinner card that I received in the mail. I also brought along my wife and son, so this wasn't just a visit for a free meal and nothing else. We were seated promptly when we arrived at the hostess station. That's when things went downhill. All three of us sat patiently waiting for our server to arrive. Five minutes passed. Two male servers were busy taking care of diners sitting near us. Ten minutes passed by. Still no acknowledgement from any of the wait staffed that were constantly passing our table. By this time, we had already figured out what appetizers, drinks and entrees were wished to order. We just needed someone to take our order. After 15 minutes of sitting there like a bunch of idiots, we decided enough was enough. Not even the free meal promised by my mailing was enough to keep me sitting there any longer. My wife and I counted a total of four different servers that passed our table and never once made eye contact with us. We made our way back to the hostess station and asked her to inform the manager about our experience, which she said she would. It was interesting to notice that even though we had left nothing on the table but the wrapped silverware, someone was there immediately to bus the table when we vacated our seats. I was never impressed by previous Outback visits, but my family members like the restaurant. I will not be back to any Outback location in the future. read more

I got the hearts of gold mahi It was ridiculously salty so I was not a fan. I had a bite of my mate's ribeye and steak... was not a fan. I ordered a cheesecake and asked for caramel and chocolate sauce. The server was nice enough to just give me a slice of each (unless he just cut the normal sized piece in half without me knowing). Anyway, as nice as the gesture may have been, it tasted like warm flavorless cream cheese. We sat down at a table that was dirty. My mate asked the employee to clean it. Decided to go here one Friday night to unwind, have a nice dinner and a drink after a long work week. My boyfriend and I were seated, and our server took out drink order. Our drinks didn't arrive for 20min. Then, the server returned and asked if we wanted any bread (I thought they always automatically bring the bread with drinks?) we said yes. Waited another 10min for the bread. Then the server came back to take our meal order...but we wanted an appetizer before our meal. We went ahead and ordered the appetizer with the meal. About 30min passed. No appetizer, just our main meals came out. WHERE WERE THE COCONUT SHRIMP?! I ordered the ribs and garlic potatoes, which was just "ok"-I've had better at another local "Roadhouse" type restaurant. After waiting what seemed like forever to get our drinks, then our food order was screwed up, a couple with four kids and a screaming baby were seated at the next table...it was just what we needed to ensure a completely unpleasant evening. Ps: no apology from our server for forgetting our appetizer. We weren't charged for it, thank goodness. Needless to say, we won't be back. Too many other better dinner options out there! read more

Great place to eat for a Sunday afternoon. Not rushed and excellent waitstaff. Our server, Ashley was very attentive, and outgoing. My daughter was being highlighted because of her birthday steak and lobster she wanted, and was very impressed with our service. This is even more notable, because my daughter is a server also (different restaurant, no clues for you yet) and is very critical of ANY other server. The restaurant was pretty busy, and I think we got the last large table without having to wait in line. The server was told that we love iced tea, and especially the raspberry flavored tea. She told us that they don't carry the raspberry, but recommended the blueberry tea. I've never even heard of blueberry tea, this was going to be a first for me. I'm the only one who ordered the blueberry tea; everyone else stuck to their 'old faithful' regular tea. Well, I must have made quite the impression when drinking my tea, and after the second glassful, others were wanting a 'taste' -- phenomenal!! I think we had two more 'converts' right there at the table. Ashley recommended the blueberry tea, and it was a great choice it turned out. Anyways, back to the real reason for the review...the steak and lobster. This was an unexpectedly flavorful lobster, in an otherwise non-seafood kinda place. The lobster on my daughter's plate was so tasty, that she didn't even use the clarified butter that was in a portion cup on her plate. Very good indeed. Great menu item for Outback, and next time, I think I'll be getting the same. The steaks at the table were all cooked to perfection, and couldn't have asked for any better service, or food. Way to go guys!! At last, the birthday song...as a line of servers came strolling out with the first one holding the fudge brownie, topped high with ice cream and whipped topping, the table behind us clapped a couple of times (some unrelated fun they were having) and one of the servers stopped at their table, thinking this is where the birthday girl is (because they starting clapping...) and we had to kind of wave them to us... too funny!! Went with my boyfriend and his 2 daughters. TERRIBLE service. We knew the place would be packed (LSU had won the Outback Bowl the day before and free blooming onions were available at Outback restaurants.) Therefore, we arrived at the restaurant at 4 pm (to avoid the dinner rush) and sat at a table in the bar area. The was a 15 minute wait for the regular dining room area and the bar area had an almost completely empty bar and several empty tables. Dirty table, no server, no silverware. My boyfriend had to beg for a server, ask for silverware, ask for our drink order to be brought to the table. In all, we had 4 people help us and I'm still not sure who our server was. Maybe the incompetent woman who showed up late, talked as though she was high, and took 20 minutes to allow us to pay our bill?? A ridiculous and experience. So Outback is pretty much Outback. Not a whole lot of change between the locations. The major thing to me that can effect my reviews would be service and food prep. At this location I have to say the service was excellent. Brandon our server was 5 stars the whole way. On top of his job, chatty but not too chatty, knew the menu inside and out and you could tell he has been with Outback for a while. So why the 3 stars? Wings came out under cooked. Brandon was happy to carry them back and drop them again for a bit. Another drawback for this location is well the location. It's sort of tucked back and not the easiest of places to get into or find. I love the chopped blue cheese salad and the ahi tuna so of course I will be back. read more

Slow service. Our waiter had to be called back to our table. The food was ok but nothing special. Refills on drinks were good. But the attitude from the entire staff have a bad atmosphere. Every once in a while I have to go bad to Outback to remind me why I stopped coming here. Lately, I feel like I'm only giving bad reviews... at least locally. So let's start... it's a Sunday, noonish, and we were sat right away. My wife ordered the Pina Colada and I asked what beers were on tap? The waitress next table over had to finish the list as our waitress started coughing her head off. The drafts were the usual big names, so I asked for any local craft beers and she referred me to the menu... so I ordered a Coopers Pale Ale from Australia. She returned to tell me they no longer carried it and offered me a Parish Envie... the local craft beer I originally asked for!!! The review is a little long so I'll condense... appetizer was less than she explained and she spilled my beer on me, the medium steak was rare, the well done steak was medium well... at best. The pina colada lacked the pineapple and we got crushed pineapple after asking. The tomatoes and cucumbers were from last night or older... see photos. Ice in the lettuce. Dirty plates and silverware. When our steaks arrived... we still had our appetizers, soup... and salads to finish. Poor experience all around. read more

If there was a rating for 0 stars, this location would earn it. My son, who is visiting while on leave from the Army, requested a steak dinner. Since Outback was close, we elected to dine there. Or at least, we tried to. Arriving at 7:45 p.m. on a Thursday night, it took several minutes for a host to come greet and seat us. There was no-one else in line. We sat down at 7:50 p.m. and for over 20 minutes, waiters and waitresses buzzed around us like mosquitoes in a swamp, but never could quite find their way to our table "for a bite." Several couples were seated after us and all at least got some attention from the wait staff. Finally, at 8:15 p.m., my son, who has extraordinary patience, remarked that it was time to brIng our business elsewhere and so we left. I suspect it'll be a lifetime before either of us sets foot in an Outback ever again. read more

Outbacks seem to get a bad rap, and I'm not sure why. I mean there's free bread, blooming onions that are always delicious, and reasonably priced steaks. Sure, it's a chain and sure, sometimes the steaks aren't cooked perfectly but for the price - it's all pretty good. I've been to this Outback near our new home twice now. The first time we had lunch specials and enjoyed ourselves. I got the alice springs quesadilla and a salad with a bleu cheese vinaigrette. My fiance got a burger, and we were both pleased with our meals. We went back a few nights ago and had a great little dinner. We split the onion petals (a smaller version of the blooming onion) which were delicious and a good portion for two people. We split the 9 oz. sirloin meal with a bleu cheese wedge salad (always my favorite) and a fully loaded potato. The steak was cooked a perfect medium rare, and it was probably the best steak I have had at any Outback. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. Overall, it was a nice experience that doesn't break the bank! read more

My husband and I decided to order lunch yesterday to support our restaurants and servers during the corona virus. This is the first tie our food was awful! The blooming onion was not coated enough and super greasy. The chicken tenders tasted like they were frozen and all batter. The fries were cold. The only decent thing was rage tiny Caesar salad. Things were going ok until I asked for more bread. Waitress sat on the board with her bare hands. Couldn't believe it so I said the bread wasn't warm. She removed it with her bare hands. She returned with another loaf and again sat it on the cutting board with her bare hands again. I know she didn't have time to wipe, wash or sanitize her hands. The wasn't offered desert. read more

Don't know why there are so many terrible reviews. We are here for the second time this week and the service is great and the food is great compared to other chain restaurants in the area!! I love the bloomin' onion, Taz crawfish, the lunch menu is fantastic! The portions are large and the prices are fair. The salads are exceptional!! No rotten lettuce!! Good job Covington Outback!! I was a little nervous coming here after seeing the reviews of the terrible service. Yet, after reading those reviews, I still decided to come. Most of the time I am traveling for work, I am eating by myself, and I don't stray from what I know. It's more fun when someone is with you. Needless to say, my server was great!
