My husband and I were seated and waited 27 minutes without anyone coming to our table to acknowledge us. Finally had to ask for the manager. Finally was told the waitress was new and was unaware that was her table to serve. Although the experience was not great the outcome was wonderful. Apparently the manager must have discussed with the waitress and she came over to us to apologize, as she stated she was unaware the table we were sitting at was apart of her area. Must everything be seasoned like blackened. Peppery hot. The blooming onion was highly seasoned, too much seasoning. The piece of chicken breast included in the pasta meal, very peppery (blackened) The filet mignon in the lobster/steak combo, totally covered in pepper. Only thing not blackened was the lobster tail & the pasta were ok. We sent back the cold mashed potatoes & one of the filet mignons did not even resembled that cut of meat, it was a very thin cut of meat. And it was ordered separately as a filet mignon. We all were Very disappointed in the meals. Service was fine & the ambiance was fine. This could have been a real nice experience but, it wasn't. This by far is the worst Outback Steakhouse I have ever been to and I've been to plenty from here to Pennsylvania. My husband and I came to grab a bite to eat before getting on the road and once the host seated us we waited for over 20 minutes for our server to atleast greet us and after about 30 minutes of us just sitting there we decided to just leave but we made the host aware of us not being waited on or even greeted after all that time. She apologized and informed us that she did infant tell our waiter to come to us. She offered to get the manager so we can speak to him but he never came out to even talk to us so we ended up just leaving after no response. My wife and I went there a few nights ago. I ordered the Victoria fillet. I've never seen this before, but the cook cut it almost completely in half, horizontally, like a fish. Then go to eat steak it is cold and there is no baked potatoes. All the condiments for it but no potatoes. The broccoli was cold and barely cooked. Very delicious food! Toowoomba salmon is a MUST TRY! It was hot & fresh! I chose not to have the rice and ordered steamed broccoli and a house salad with it. The server was very fast and friendly. The food was just okay, not really to my liking, then I ordered The Aussie Jawssie (the shark drink), for $8 just for the waiter to pour the red syrup from the shark's mouth into the drink before I even had the chance to do it. This was upsetting, as I felt like half of the experience was pouring the contents of the shark into your own drink, and I was excited to do so myself because I have seen several videos online of the drink, where people pour the shark over themselves. Came early to beat the Sat Night rush. It was nice, but not as good as I had hoped. Several employees could not play poker. The faces they made in reference to the seniors in our party were obvious. The hostess was frumpy and somewhat attentive. Nice, but not on the ball. Our waitress was nice and very helpful. Her only drawback was prebussing. If there were used plates, she only removed what was absolutely necessary. Overall, the food was good. The only item that could have been better was the bloom'n onion. It was so greasy. Went there in October. Strak was dantastic. Really great dilet with out the $50 price tag. Took some guest back in december. Awful. Service was lacking. Waitress didnt ask for the tempatures on our steak. My guest ordered salmon and his order was never put in. My strak was iver cooked and they took it back. The other guest ordered steak which was cooked correctly but was served diring her salad course and by the time we received our recooked strak and dish. All her food was cold. Dont order hanburger. I find that takeout food, never tastes as good as when it's served to you in the restaurant. The salads, for example, are smaller and yet you're paying the same price. The steaks I have one recommendation, if you like your steak, medium order it medium rare, and then put it on a hot pan on your stove for a minute on each side and that way you'll have a nice hot steak to eat. Tonight was seriously the last straw. The service and quality has continued to decline at this branch. It took an hour and a half from walking in to getting our food, which was cooked wrong. Then another half hour to get what we actually ordered. Even then, it was barely edible and most of it ended up being left on the plate. My husband got the bill and asked for a manager because the 2 plates they initially screwed up were included on our bill. We never did get a manager, just the server arguing about it till he finally saw it. I heard several other tables complaining about different things tonight. I am normally disappointed by chains, but as chain steakhouses go, Outback is the best. The only problem with Outback is its popularity, which causes it to be massively crowded nearly every night. The last few times I have been have been right when they opened and we were seated with no issues. On my most recent trip we had the best waiter. While I cant remember his name, he was outgoing, personable and helpful. He suggested the wedge salad over the house salad and I am glad he did. The wedge salad is a large wedge of iceberg lettuce, topped with tomatoes, blue cheese, bacon and a balsamic reduction. It is wonderful. For an entree, I ordered the Melbourne porterhouse medium rare. The Melbourne is 20 oz. of beefy goodness. Outback doesn't claim to have prime beef, but their steaks are seasoned perfectly, tender and beefy. The steaks aren't done in the traditional New Orleans simmering butter, but it isn't missed at all. These steaks are pretty good. Outback does try and up sell appetizers and desserts, but to be honest, I don't know how someone could eat all of that food. I still love real steakhouses, but in a pinch, Outback does a good job. read more

Haven't been to Outback in a year or so but was looking forward to trying it again since someone gave us two 10.00 gift cards. The bartender was in the weeds most of the night so we understood having to wait for things like salt and pepper and refill drinks. My only disappointment was upon paying the bill we were notified we could use one of the 10.00 gift cards, that made no sense to me and he couldn't give a valid response only that computer only takes one gift card per transaction. Very disappointed and gave the other gift card to person sitting next to us. Probably won't go back there! read more

The food is good, the atmosphere is chill - but not so relaxed that you'd think that you were at a sports bar... there are plenty of choices and they are all delicious. My only problem with this restaurant is the staff. The conversations that they have with each other in earshot of guests leaves a little to be desired...
