I am posting this because of a young lady at my neighborhood Outback. Her name is Alina and she truly exemplifies the term customer service. She has brought me my orders on several occasions and she is always polite and professional. My last experience was a week ago and my Kukaburra wings were severely overcooked and I called back to let them know and Alina was upset about the situation but on my next order which was today, she actually remembered me and the past experience and made sure that my order was correct! The bathroom door is nasty. My beer had some chunk of meat stuck to bottom of glass, luckily on the outside. Fruit flies were flying around the table the whole time. A family with obnoxious kids were doing laps around dining room and bar for 20 minutes before the parents left. Would have thought maybe the manager could have said something to them. My filet was a bit nasty with a big ole chunk of fat on it. I gave it away, first time in my life I couldn't eat a filet. When it was brought to table ( which was passed along the other guests) I said "is this a filet?" It was the worst looking cut of meat I've seen. I started out with 3 stars, then as I wrote this I went to two, but now at end it's a 1 star for me. It was a crap experience and I may be done with Outback for a long time. read more

Our meal was horrible. Steak (all three of them) were really spicy. Which is weird. We have eaten here before and not experienced that. The Alfredo (shrimp and chicken) literally had no Alfredo. Steak was asked for medium and it was rare. No one cares or even asked how our meal was. read more

My sister and I had a great lunch, she had steak, and I had the Alice Springs chicken. This was my second visit (both great). We both enjoy a good glass of tea and we were pleased with their regular and sweet tea. Our waitress was fast and attentive, her name was Kate, we met the manager, David, who was also quite delightful! Just a sidenote, my sister loves this restaurant, but I had horrible experiences at the Outback's in St. Petersburg. I was very reluctant to go to an Outback ever again, but this Bradenton location has changed my mind and my entire family plans to be regular visitors. read more

Slow service, seems like they're just scraping by. Food was barley warm. Plating was cheap, at best. The steak served looked like dog food mixed with shoe leather. The waitress was terrible. I ordered a salad and they put siracha ranch on it. I wish I would've known that's the only kind of ranch they carry now. I can't handle spicy Bc of medical reasons. We waited over an hour to get served and everything was cooked wrong and was the wrong steaks. The waitress and manager were both rude and tried to shove more food at us instead of fixing the issue at hand. Save yourself money, and go somewhere else. read more

Place is racist and unaccommodating. I've never been to a restaurant that refused customers because of the party size. When we requested to have our party be split into 2 I seated because we had children with us, they declined. What a horrible environment. Clearly lay staff and hostess that shared with the entire wait staff that we were a party of 10 and they all stared and gawked. Hospitality is definitely lacking. read more

Bloody wings.. Server and manager did not seem to care much Salmon - dry. .way overcooked Place was slow.. So was service Center cut sirloin. Not what it used to be.. veiny, fat running through it.. tougher than it used to be.. Used to be one nice piece no fat and taste good. They changed to poor quality. Do you really have to ask for water? Not going back. This place has taken a turn for the worst.. Either cut back or poor management. Probably both. read more

I love to go here to eat a nice relaxing lunch with my husband. When we go we order everything: apps, salads, full entrees with add-on's and drinks from the bar. We like to sit at the bar and receive excellent service every time we go. We usually go on a Wednesday lunch and the Wednesday bar staff here is fabulous. I wrote this review because the food preparation and quality has really improved lately. Our last 2 visits in the last 3 months have literally been 100% perfect. For a while the kitchen performance seemed inconsistent. The food and service have not been this good since Steve Himmel was the GM 10 years ago. I even took the tine to send the corporate office my praise of a job well done. Keep up the great work and we look forward to coming in more often. read more

Love this particular outback. Foods always consistent and when sitting inside the staff is always attentive and sweet. To-go staff definitely isnt as good as indoor staff, I often have to go to the togo door to get food when their whole thing is to have you wait in your car. Same food but I prefer to eat there inside than togo. read more

Tell you what, Excellent place to go all around. Stopped by this evening with my wife who got shrimp Alfredo and I myself got ribs and Steak. Not only was the food well beyond expectation but out server Kasdan was extremely attentive and professional. 10 out of 10 recommend. read more

Food was good, but don't expect a quick lunch here, 30 minutes wait for food and not very attentive service, seemed short of staff.

Increasing stars because the food has improved since my last (horrible) visit. We decided to try curbside to see if the food quality would be better (surprisingly it was) had the volcano shrimp- beautifully crisp with the right amount of spice, really good. Appetizer sampler- was ok, the hit was the blooming onion pieces. Woodfire grilled shrimpnwith bruschetta- amazing! So good. And last we tried the ahi tuna...that was my favorite although it looked as if the server dropped my to go box . Cannot fully give five stars as the service is still bad. Even at curbside you wait forever (she had my card with her in the store for about 15 minutes- really alarming) and cars that were clearly there after us were served before. I wouldn't give four stars to our server as he was cordial but not very personable. That 15 percent tip we gave him very easily could have been 20 to 25%. However, I would like to give kudos to Jeremy, the manager, who immediately responded when I had to send my steak back for being over done. He personally delivered another steak and baked potato and unfortunately that steak was well under done. He offered to take that one back as well, but I refused. I rarely ever send food back. He responded with extreme courtesy, and apologies. He didn't have to do any more than that however, he comped my meal. I will return again because of him. read more

The Pork Porterhouse and mashed potatoes were very good. The Bloomin' Onion Petals are always good, cheaper and less waste than the Bloomin' Onion for us. I had to send my medium well sirloin back because it was medium at best! It was good and hot once brought back out. Try the Aussie Rum Punch. Wouldn't go without one. read more

What a wonderful experience we had tonight at the Outback on Cortez in Bradenton, Fl. It was mostly due to the over the top service by Kim our server. She was just so pleasant and efficient you couldn't help but be happy to be there. The food was very good, we all, a party of 6 enjoyed our meals. I'm delighted to be able to be able to write such a positive review or any review actually as I had vowed never to step foot in another Outback after the awful experience we had had in August in the Outback in Wesley Chapel, Fl. Ventured out for really good steak, and it was very good. Dad, a former butcher, would have fired their butcher cause one side was thin and one side was thick, so to cook it evenly medium rare is impossible, but the thin to middle was very tasty and tender, and the thick end that was too rare will make a nice lunch tomorrow on that nice dark bread they serve with each order. I ordered the larger size with intent to take some home, so it was just fine. With everyone in masks, i had a variety of waitresses. Assuming because i was a table of one. Surprised them, cause i tipped 33%. This time of covid, and waitresses just getting back to work, is not the time to be tipping small. Servers were all in masks, seating was staggered, i felt safe from covid, so go and support your local resturant. You know you are tired of your own cooking. read more

Very friendly service! Excellent decor, very clean, and I like the way the bar area is arranged. My server Wendy was more than fantastic and was willing to tailor an order for me that was off-menu! I really appreciated that! And she always carried a smile, had a great demeanor, and never seemed to rush you. -1 star because I'm not a fan of Outback (or chain restaurants) in general. This outback is the best one in Bradenton/Sarasota area. We had a party of three and sat down without waiting at 6:45pm this past Sunday. Our server was Bailey, very friendly and quick to suggest some different drinks and specials. We ordered onion blossom petals because we never finish the whole order and they were great. At Baileys suggestion I tried Coopers pale ale, which is bottled in Australia and it is awesome! We ordered the 9 oz sirloin, a full rack of ribs and the special prime rib with rubbed spices. Just a great dinning experience right when u walk threw the doors it was absolutely amazing

The food was okay, the low rating is more for the service. There were 7.5 of us that went for dinner at around a bit after 6, we opted to call ahead and secure a table. I'm pretty sure there was a minor miscommunication as when we arrived they understood it as a total of 7 (including the toddler) which wasn't the case. When we advised the hostess that we were in fact 7 full sized adults and a toddler, they were all "oh okay" and seemed like they had it squared away...so why we were led to a booth for 6 people is beside me. Then the waitress was essentially telling us we could hang tight until a table to accommodate us became available and my husbands aunt anecdotally said the table right next to us appeared to be ready to go (they were older folk with takeout containers and iced teas) just saying we can hang until they go and then move that table to attach to the existing one we are at. The waitress essentially replied stating she doesn't ask her tables to leave they can stay as long as they want. No one asked her to make anyone leave...but thanks for making us all feel like terrible people. We finally got moved to another 6 top but it was a round table with chairs and the 7 of us along with the high chair managed to squeeze in - my husband sat a little sideways and a bit away from the table. Our server was friendly and sweet but she forgot my husbands salad which she actually gave to his aunt stating it was an extra (hubby and i were preoccupied with the child). Also, my daughters OJ wasn't brought out until after her meal. Her steak was ordered medium while mine was MR and yet mine came out with barely any pink while hers had pink in the middle. We stopped for lunch. The place was empty so we got a table right away. We ordered lunch. The waitress was nice but the service was bad. In addition to other things, I ordered 1/2 rack baby back ribs with fries. On the plate there were piece of ribs and absolutely nothing, no fries, nothing.Waitress do not asked if everything is OK. So we can all learn from a young man named RJ who overheard my conversation about a mistake to my order and knowing it was after closing and my wife was not gonna be happy then this young man stepped in and grabbed the bull by the horns and handled it like any GREAT manager would handle it even though he is not a manager.... So cheers to Taylor and the rest of team management for leading great customer service down to the staff..... He went above and beyond on his own time to bring me the right order and accepted NO fanfare.... I spoke to his manager Taylor and 5 min on phone with her and I see why he did what he did...... Just ordered steak dinners for delivery from the Cortez Road site in Bradenton. The delivery driver was from Outback and was within the limit of the revised delivery time. Everything looked great, but when hubby and I cut into the steaks, they were both very stringy with lots of tendon running through them. Good taste, but the quality of the meat was what I would expect from a bargain buffet rather than an Outback. read more

I've always loved Outback. Tonight was horrible. Salads are getting smaller Alice springs chicken is smaller flat dry and just gross. I NEVER send food back and I had to tonight. My family was done eating before mine ever came. Finally the manager comes over asks what's wrong and tells me he will take it off my bill and send one home for lunch. Lol. Ok. I guess I'm not hungry for dinner. So of course I look at the new one. Juicier but flat hardly any mushrooms one slice of bacon and barely any cheese. We hardly get to go out for financial reasons and I just spent $80 and never even got to eat. So sad. Sorry Outback but I will be splurging elsewhere read more

They use machines in the back that literally a trained child could operate. Our server told us they have a "number process" they use to ensure the food is cooked the same way every time via a "robot"-like process in the back. When we ordered pasta, we didn't ask for extra Alfredo but luckily the server knew how dry it was going to be because it's all automated in the back. Server was great, food was terrible. read more

Always go here, because outback is consistently good. Can count on good steaks, cooked properly and good service. Ordered carry out today, the guy bartender was exceptional, but when I got back home...th steaks were raw. I order medium to get medium rare, but these suckers were still mooing. Traffic was backed up and I didn't have another hour or so to spare. We called ahead of time to ask about prime rib, the gal on the phone said it would be ready by 3...I got there and they said it wouldn't be done until 445....lots of ball dropping going on here....out steaks must have temped out at 110 degrees. The last time we went here, we had my grandmother order the chocolate thunder from down under (haha sigh*) along with the rest of our meal. It is just as you would expect it to be, the steak is where all the flavor is at. My family likes the blooming onion but it has a tendency to be quite greasy on the plate. They have wonderful bread and butter but nothing overly special. Their specialty drinks are lacking creativity but it is a Steakhouse first and a bar second. The dessert isn't that good, either. But the service is wonderful and we have never had to wait for a table. Overall a mixed bag but I'm not sure you could expect more from a corporate steak house. read more

It took forever for our food to come out . When it finally came out the medium well steak came out blackened and tough. We sent it back . It took about 15 minutes to get another steak. Now my Mac n cheese is cold. The new steak came back without the mashed potatoes. Now they took my cold mashed potatoes. After eating two loaves of delicious bread I am too full to eat my new well cooked steak and cold Mac n cheese with no mashed potatoes. Our visit to this location went wayyyy beyond great service. Michelle the take out employee this day was just simply amazing. Being in the industry myself, I know how days go at the restaurant. She was very caring and accommodating to everyone of our needs. The subject somehow came up that we were getting married the next day and Michelle went even further with her hospitality to get us a gift card. This is just great customer service and should be recognized by her employer. Had my fiancee in tears by time we left. Great job Michelle and congrats to you as well on the baby coming next month.
