Quick attentive service and food was served up hot and fresh and side salad fresh and cold, so glad to see the wedge back on the menu for a limited time. Love their bleu cheese dressing and the bloomin shrimp appetizer is 200 times better than than the onion version. I had such a wonderful experience today, becuase of how the server treated my daughter and me. Her name was Dejay. I had just brought my daughter from a doctor's appointment because she had an ear infection and didn't feel well but she insisted on her fave spot, Outback. Dejay could tell she didn't feel well and went out of her way to make her day a little better and it meant so much. Had a reservation and still took 20 minutes to seat mid afternoon on a Thursday. Came once before and hostess looked like a child, not in uniform, very new and unprofessional with no host skills and this rounds hosts were in uniform but didn't seat us in very open seats. Dissatisfied with the lack of seating, long wait time, increased prices, and professionalism. Food: when we got to Outback, we asked for a blooming onion and received one that was tiny compared to other tables blooming onions so much so that it did not even fill the plate. We did not mind it that much so we did not complain. But when my friend got his steak it had a hair in it! We immediately had them remake and it they still had not brought it when we got the check until finally it came. The I ordered a steak and a double side of asparagus and when I got the steak it was cooked very well but my asparagus was very cold. My friend ordered their ribs and he said that they were not even saucy and were caked with dry rub and when he removed the dry rub leaving just the meat and sauce he said it was not that good. Our waiter was very nice and she gave us the steak for free. Tired of Thanksgiving turkey, I decided to have lunch here. The service was excellent and the food that I ordered was good. I had the Bloomin burger, with everything but the bun. The facility was very clean. Also good was most of the food. Chicken parmigiana sticks very tasty, as were the vegetables. The not so good: The steak. When we walked in everything seemed to be as I remembered of an Outback, then we were sat in a booth by the bar and the smell hit me. It smelled like they needed to clean every sink, cooler and floor drain in the place. Probably should have taken this as a cue to leave but we decided to stay and went ahead and ordered our food. I visited Outback Steakhouse today with my boyfriend, to celebrate my birthday. Our waitress was Carla. She was absolutely amazing! She was friendly and I loved her upbeat personality, her positive energy and professionalism! We ordered the blooming onion as an appetizer. It was fresh, hot and yummy. I ordered the Alice Springs Chicken that is topped with bacon, sauteed mushrooms and cheese all melted together and honey mustard on the side for dipping. The chicken was so juicy and tender and tasted amazing. I also had a baked sweet potato with butter, sugar and cinnamon and this was scrumptious too! My boyfriend had the wings which were hot, tasty, juicy and crispy but needed just a little more spice. Our evening ended with our waitress giving me a complimentary dessert for my birthday. Sat there forever at the bar and never got waited on. We just left. This is the second time this has happened to us . Service has went downhill at the bar bad since after the new reopening . They was great at first with the new restaurant but slacking bad now. We have no pictures where we did not get served anything. We never got asked about drinks at the bar, menu, or anything and we was the only people at the bar . This happened today at 12:30 pm. They was not real busy at that time either . We placed an order through GrubHub and ordered our favorite Outback meal: 8 Oz top sirloin with baked sweet potato and Caesar salad. My husband's steak was supposed to be medium (warm pink center) and mine was medium rare. On positive side: food was delivered at the promised time. The salads were delicious! The sweet potatoes were wonderful, too. HOWEVER, both steaks were terrible! My husband's steak was very well done. No pink at all and very dry. My medium rare was cooked properly, but nearly inedible! It had a band of visible and tough gristle (?) around it and running through the middle of the steak. There were also tough strings of gristle throughout. I was only able to chew and spit it out. My husband took my remaining steak and was unable to eat it, too. We went to Outback and our server was great. The issue I had was one server who was making snarky comments to co workers out on the floor. I let the manager know what we had witnessed and that I felt it was unprofessional for her to do. He said he understood and would have a talk with her. He talked with her alright. She seemed confused. Our drinks and bloomin' onion come out at the same time, and the soup and salad that three of the party had ordered were no where to be seen. Ok, fine. I will wait. Then out meals finally come... Are ya ready for this? The medium steak was closer to raw in the middle, and the soup he ordered... Still not here. On to the next, medium steak number 2, cooked slightly above mediocre, and the baked sweet potato he ordered with it... One end if it was ROTTEN, yes I said rotten. And the salad he ordered, no where in sight. At this point he asked for soup. Alice springs chicken... The only entre not completely screwed up. The soup he ordered... You guessed it, no where! Next was the bourbon bacon bbq salmon. It was BLACK, dry, and had not one sign of the bourbon bacon sauce. There is still no bread.... So I ask where is the bread, topping for my salmon, and all the soups and salad? Finally a manager comes out to apologise, brings the soup and bread, and takes half off the bill. While I can appreciate the guesture, I was beyond disappointed with the quality of service and especially the sub parr quality of food. We were taken there by our best friends for my husbands birthday. We chose outback because we had not been there in years. Long story short ...myself and my friend ordered loaded baked potato..it came out with none of the toppings but some sour cream (very little) and maybe 5 strings of shredded cheese and when you cut into it the potato was hard and under cooked. Like they had just gotten it out of a bag. My friends potato was same. We asked for the manager and when he came over and I said I ordered a loaded bake potato and I just look at him and he's looking at my potato and says nothing until a point out there zero toppings on it‍so he says I'll bring u some toppings. Several minutes later when our potatoes were cold..we got the toppings. The outside was supposed to be rolled in oil and sea salt that wasn't on it either. My husband ordered a steak WELL DONE...the inside was pink all way through. He ask for A-1 and never got it. Our server never cleared our dirty plates after appetizers and when we got our dessert she brought out 2 of them and the last one was brought out when everyone was ready to leave. We order takeout from here regularly. However, tonight ended us every using the Outback. I ordered on line. My husband sat in the curbside takeaway space for 15 min and no one ever came out. He goes and knocks on the door and was told the kitchen is backed up. Food nowhere near ready. There were 3 teenagers sitting around talking instead of coming out to let him know they were behind and seeing if he needed anything. After waiting for 45 minutes past the time the food was to be ready he got out food and came home. The steak was overcooked, food was cold but the seasonal fruit cup absolutely was the toppers. What they failed to say was that the food wouldn't be tasty. Ordered the outback special, meat came out grey with zero seasoning, actually think they cooked the meat with water. Covered the meat with mashed potatoes and ate quickly. No manager in sight to give feedback, appeared no one over 18 working. Yeah, I got food poisoning.
