Horrible baked beans.

Terrible service and not so good food. This restaurant has continuously gone down hill since it first opened. It's very ran down, no heat in the winter and the bathrooms are always disgusting. We usually opt for Logan's when we don't have time to wait for a table at other restaurants. However, after this visit, we won't be returning. Most of the staff were disengaged and the wait staff are slow. We waited for 10 minutes for first contact from the server and another 40 minutes for our meals. We could have done just as well waiting for a table at Olive Garden. The food was nowhere near the quality of the prices and it left my wife and I feeling icky or gross feeling after we left. We still tipped well and thanked our server, since it is probably a company and management problem and not her fault.

Microwaved steak

What can I say..... food was horrible all three steaks were raw sent it back and got microwaved steaks. Shrimp was raw only cooked on one side it's was horrible. Wife's burger sliders were raw meat inside maybe on grill for 2 seconds. First batch of rolls were burnt then the next straight dough centers. Server was only the alright thing.

Try harder!

Hit or miss on preparations, salad was small for a meal, salmon okay but I watched it sit for 20 minutes on the counter. Pork chops good, sweet potato raw, literally not cooked because after an hour of waiting I said I would microwave it. Loaded potato soup was good, but had to remind them to put in the bag. Service friendly, but slow and people were not fully wearing the masks and snacking at the grill. Ugh! Not one to call out the building, I love hole in the walls.. because that is were good food is found. That being said, this is a chain and the exterior needs a good bath and the trash piled in front shrubs looks like a homeless refuge. Try harder, hope kitchen is not a mirror.

Dinner tonight was the best meal of our week-long vacation! We love to eat at local restaurants…read morewhere there's a good chance we might get to try something special and Christopher's Eats did not disappoint. First, the restaurant has a cool vibe and the people are nice. You get the feeling that the people coming and going know what they're getting when they walk in and it's what keeps them coming back. My seared tuna steak with mango salsa, carrots, and asparagus was perfectly prepared and far better than what you'd get at a chain restaurant. I forgot to mention the fries with pimento cheese as an appetizer... They were the best fries I think I've ever had. For dessert, if there's something to know about Christopher, it's that his scratch-made cheesecakes are amazing. Tonight's special was key lime cheesecake. No. Regrets. If I could stick around longer; I'd like to work my way through everything on the menu. Great options for kids too! A corndog with applesauce hit the spot. If you're in the area and haven't eaten here yet, you're missing out!

I ordered the meatloaf with sweet potato wedges and Brussels sprouts. The meatloaf was a bit on the anemic side. Imagine what you might be served at an upscale French restaurant and that is about the portion of the meatloaf, roughly the size of a tennis ball. It was very moist and quite good as were the sides. The sweet potato wedges were basically sweet potato fries with the skins on and maybe six in total. Again, fewer than expected. The house salad was great. Not just romaine with carrot shavings. It had mixed greens, including spinach, carrots, tomatoes, and cucumbers. The dressings are all made in house. Our server was attentive and fantastic. Brought refills before needing them or asking. The ambiance is definitely higher class but the dress is casual. I would definitely return.

Bruno's Spotted Hare is fantastic…read more I stopped by recently with a family member while visiting, having heard good initial things about this restaurant. The space is gorgeous; it has the dark coziness of a lodge with beautiful, wild-inspired accents. We were seated in a booth near the window: the booth was comfortable but may be a tight squeeze if two larger adults are sitting on the same side (I'd recommend asking for a table in that case). I started off with an American Trilogy cocktail and loved it; it was surprisingly smooth and easy to drink while being flavorful. We debated appetizer options but went with the sourdough bread and butters. The butters were rosemary, garlic, and sorghum, and while all were great, the sorghum was a favorite. The bread was flavorful and nicely chewy. I'm always happy to see a vegetarian-friendly soup on a menu, so I ordered the beans and greens soup and loved it. It has a very deep flavor, yet the beans weren't overly mushy. The server (who was amazing) recommended some Tabasco for adding heat, which I enjoyed. For entrées, my dining partner got the fried chicken on the server's recommendation, and I got the mushroom pasta. The fried chicken was described by my relative as a crunchy coating with a moist meat; they called it "the best fried chicken" they've had. I tasted the mashed potatoes and can happily vouch for them, as they were creamy and perfectly seasoned. My dining partner raved about the home-style green beans, too. My mushroom pasta was fantastic. The mushrooms were cooked perfectly and were flavorful without being slimy or mushy. The pasta was hearty and cooked al dente. As a pleasant surprise. I got a couple slices of bread with my pasta, too; this time topped with some cheese and seasoning. It was perfect for soaking up the last bits of pasta sauce, as I cleaned my plate. I got dessert to go; it was the cornmeal pound cake and packaged conveniently (with the ice cream separate). It was delicious even at home; the cake itself wasn't too sweet, meaning that the combination of it, the ice cream, and the honey had a perfect balance of flavor. I will try to make a special trip here whenever I'm in the area. It's a beautiful, special addition to the local dining scene.
