Went on a Thursday around 6. Packed as always but made a reservation so it wasn't bad. Service was slow . But expected. The fruit fly in the margarita, not expected but still not the end of the world . The overcooked chicken wasn't expected and wasn't great. The stink bugs landing on the table and on family members drew the line . They have ben slammed since they were opened . Maybe they should close for a few hours and deep clean the restaurant for bugs and flys in bottles . For now on I'll find a different Texas that isn't this one . read more

We were visiting WV on vacation and was so excited when we came across a Texas Roadhouse. Ours close to home closed. Of course we had to stop and eat. Just like we remembered the yummy sweet bread, really great food, and our server was very friendly and attentive. The only thing I can really critic was I am not postive the sweet potato was a sweet potato. I think it was a Yam which was somewhat disappointing but over all we had a great dinner. Texas Roadhouse is a favorite steak chain for a few reasons, There consistency to hit on food, service and have a price point that will not kill your these days is remarkable. So when on the road there were three steak chains within one mile. Two were dead, Texas Roadhouse was jamming. Seated with little wait and my waitress was right on top for drink and soon food order. My Fort Worth Ribeye was exceptional with sides of loaded baked potato & veggie. Only one small hiccup was I ordered a dessert they did not have and the waitress came back to inform me the brownie was sold out. It's a fun atmosphere with staff dancing to music and smiles. My husband and I took our 80 year old friend to the Texas Roadhouse. It was so cold in our section my husband asked them if they could turn the heat up a little. He has rheumatoid arthritis and the cold makes him hurt. Shortly after that the music was turned up so loud you could barely hear each other. Our friend had to take her hearing aid out because it was hurting her ears. Other people in our section were talking to their waitress about the cold. I ordered the prime rib. It was delicious but I couldn't eat part of it because there was a big piece of fat on it. We spent over $100.00 on our meal and it would have been nice to eat it without being so cold and the music so loud. Texas Roadhouse is a fallback option for me when I cannot find something else that piques my curiosity as they have steak I like and of course the rolls. Today was one of those days where I went to Texas Roadhouse. Candace was my server and the entire time I was here I felt nothing but rushed. I put in an order for an appetizer, salad, and steak. Never got one bite of my appetizer in my mouth before my salad was dropped off at my table. I like having the ability to spread out my meal and not all at once. Something I learned when I was a server and appreciate more as a diner. Soon as i finished my app and salad my entree arrived. It was all well and good though as I was a couple bites in Candace dropped off my receipt, no asking if I wanted dessert or that usual jazz. It was Friends & Family Night, a soft opening for the newly opened restaurant. A practical real deal training for the entire staff, line cooks, servers an' management alike. Because the meal was free for a party of up to four (alcohol not included), it was a very limited menu. Three different entrees to choose from an' most if not all sides were available. No 'tizers or desserts were a part of the menu, but they did offer samples of some their apps. I sampled the Cactus Blossoms (think Bloomin' Onion) an' Rattlesnake Bites (diced jalapeño cheese balls) an' both were very good. Of couse they kept us in hot hot rolls an' that honey butter stuff. They're t' die for, but we didn't fill up on bread. Food--I had the 8oz sirloin (medium rare) an' the loaded baked potato with a Cesar side-salad. The steak was cooked to perfection smothered with grilled onions an' mushrooms, very flavorful! The loaded potato was just that, loaded with cheese, bacon, an' sour cream. Also the potato was baked with coarse salt on the skin, I love that. Loaded baked potato was loaded with decadent flavor! The Cesar salad was as good as I've had at any family restaurant. I ate it all, an' I never do that. The food gets an A+. Ambiance--The restaurant was bustling an' very busy with a lot of guests an' workers. Everyone was having a noticeably good time especially the employees who were still in training. They would all do a silly line dance when a certain song came on. Everyone was friendly an' polite. No issues at all. Ambiance gats an A. Cost--This portion is incomplete as the people was free for the table except the adult beverages, an' my wife paid for those. Cost gets an' incomplete. Environment--Texas Roadhouse decor is about what ya might expect from a chain steakhouse. The new facility was really nice new an' clean. One thing that they had that was cool was a deli style meat case where you could see different cuts of steaks. Not sure if it's functional for practical use or just ornamental, it was cool nonetheless. Environment gets an' A. Service--service was really good when ya consider that all the servers were new, training an' still learning. They were all havin' to use some kind of tablet that you could tell that some were strugglin' with. Chelsea was very attentive an' friendly an' got our orders correct. Went to Texas Roadhouse at Southridge for dinner (we had a couple GC from a fundraiser we bought). The lot was packed, but we only had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated. Staff was friendly and attentive. We ordered the cactus onion blossom (I think that is what it's called) for an appetizer and the sirloin with baked potato and Caesar salad. The appetizer was delicious. Caesar salad we were not a fan. The dressing tasted more like miracle whip than Caesar. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and cut like butter. If you have a waitress named Amanda, request another waitress or leave. She is very smug, overconfident, and inattentive. She will make smart alec comments while also debating you that your steak IS in fact made how you ordered it! The manager is not much better in likewise debating your complaints. We waited 1.5 hours to be seated (and had bad seats at that) and then an hour to get our meal which was offered up in nearly every bad way imaginable. The rolls were good but the waitress was stingy with the butter, the dressing was too vinegary and peppery, my steak was served without a potato (which came later after the steak was cold), my date's steak was oozing with red stuff even though she ordered it to be warm and pink, and my date's sweet potato lacked brown sugar and cinnamon. We took our food home because we did not want to wait for everything to be remade correctly. We basically had a dinner that consisted of rolls and a salad. The rest of the food left with us (see photo). We--along with our one-year-old son--were exhausted. Ordinarily, I give this restaurant an A but tonight was a D+ at best. It's one thing for the food to be less than stellar but it's another thing for the waitress and manager to be rude. That is a sign of terrible management. My aunt and i went to Texas roadhouse this evening. We sat down pretty quickly. That was the only thing that happened good during this visit. We waited for 15 minutes before someone came over and asked "have you been served yet". Then the waitress passed us off to a young girl who was very disrespectful. We had to ask several times before she finally brought the bread. She only refilled out drinks 1 time. The server never brought my aunt's side of a sweet potato or cocktail sauce for her shrimp after asking several times. By the time she brough bread and my aunts sides we were done with our meal. My aunt at the end wanted to pay cash and when she gave the cash the waitress gave her a disrespectful look. Get better servers who know good customer service. The food was cold and it was due to lack of ketchup in their containers that are unable to see through to the inside.. empty ketchup containers literally. Get some bottles that you can see through. We have always received quick and polite service at this location. We usually get the rattlesnake bites (deep fried spicy cheese balls) and the chicken fried chicken. Food's always been great. Placed a to go order, and it was a little late, but would no have complained about that.,upon getting it home, my rib dinner did not have both sides. The prime ribs were ordered rare and were grossly over done. One of the prime ribs was so dry and tough, an end piece that was like shoe leather and it was barely edible. We called and waited almost 10 min only to be disconnected. Called a second time and the person who answered said someone would be with us right away. Never happened, we hung up. So 2 awful prime ribs, one missing side and no manager ever took our call., Not sure what has happened to Texas Roadhouse but this experience has made me realize how much they've gone down in quality and customer service. This restaurant is all about the steak, and the steak gets 5 stars without hesitation. I had a rare 16 ounce ribeye with mushrooms and onions on the side. Absolutely zero complaints. Seasoned well, cooked perfectly, quality meat. The reason I have to go lower for the overall score is simply the lack of vibe and beer selection. Boring pop nu-country played a little too loudly, lack of interesting decoration, and a handful of bland domestic lagers. This is the place you take your family after a little league game when you want a nice big hunk of meat instead of Mexican or Applebees. It does it's job very well, but doesn't add a lot extra. We went in a Wednesday because we thought there wouldn't be a huge line but we still had to wait about 10/15 minutes to be seated, however the staff were courteous and friendly! We were seated and waited on right away. My son chose the steak bites kids meal, my husband chose the 8 oz sirloin and fries and I had a pineapple chicken entree with fresh veggies and fries. The food came out quick, was fresh and done right. Even my son ate every thing he had which is unusual. And to be a steakhouse, it wasn't near as expensive as we were expensive.
