We had a fish dip & special wrap. Very good & great customer service. I hope you love bird friends very close while eating because they have TONS of them & they're a little overwhelming. No air flow but they have fans running Nice for boat riders a quick bite

What an absolute blessing! The host was so kind, the staff was amazing and our waitress was absolutely phenomenal! I can't remember her name but she was wearing butterfly earrings! The food was so yummy and the scenery was absolutely stunning. Go around sunset for such a beautiful scene over the water!! Eat outside for good vibes and lots of bird watching! Absolutely adored this lovely restaurant!!!

Been here a few times before and the service was great, so was the food. On this occasion the service was pretty good, but the food was just meh. Ordered a dozen oysters, they were decent, but there were some real small ones in the batch. Had a scallops salad, it was okay, but there were only about 5 or 6 small scallops. Also ordered fish and shrimp. Nothing on the fish and shrimp was seasoned, not even the fries. Ended up eating the shrimp, some of the fish and three the rest away. Didn't think the meal was worth what we paid. This will probably be my last visit here. Makes me sad, because I really love sitting on the deck and looking out over the water.

Very solid, basic seafood place with good prices and seemingly large portions. We went for a lunch. Had a huge fish sandwich with plenty of fries. Had it in, life had clam chowder and fish bites, both of which she liked a lot. On Wednesday, at least this Wednesday, they had Landshark beer for two dollars a glass, can't beat that. It has a real old school vibe. It's mostly outside or open air with lots of fans going. You order when you walk in, then sit down and the food is brought to you. Makes it a little weird, knowing how to tip in advance, but so be it.

Our Deck Down Under won our decision on where to Eat good seafood at a waterside Cafe! I'm gonna start by saying ....you have to basically wait on yourself. You grab a menu...stand in line to order...find a table..carry your drinks over..then they bring your food order! You are paying very expensive prices to basically wait on yourself. The view is amazing! But for $80, I would expect better table service. The food was good, nothing spectacular that I have to go back after. I had the Blackened Maui Maui Sandwich for $15.50 and to pay $4 extra for Hairy French Fries and hush puppies. The Hush Puppies were good, but there was hair in my fries! The kids got Grilled Cheese and fries & Pups and found hair in their fries too! Kayla got a Philly steak with fries & pups minus the hair! How did she get so lucky?? The iced tea was amazing! I would not go again. Too many other seafood restaurants to get my money!

Love that the bar is full service. Avoid the wait and the crowd. Today is a gorgeous sunny day. Too nice to stay indoors so we decided to have a drink, lunch and enjoy the view. I had the fried shrimp dinner and my honey had the fish and shrimp dinner. Both were cooked to perfection - fries crispy and the cole slaw crunchy and sweet. The view can't be beat, boats going under the bridge and birds diving for fish and fries Service is great. Highly recommend tourists stand in line and leave the bar to locals LOL

I used to live in Port Orange and this was always a go-to spot for the family and for us to take visitors to. Now that we are visitors to the area when on vacation, it's a classic spot for us to grab some fresh fish and peel and eat shrimp. We love the kind staff and the quick service. The location - on the water with views of sunsets and dolphins adds an extra element that we love.

Seating out side by water is nice plus tables have umbrellas. Lots of napkins ( your gonna need them). Plus they have bottles of Tarter sauce and cocktail sauce and ketchup. As you walk in menus are on a counter, you can take one find your seat and then take your time to think about your order or you can stand there in line for ordering and figure it out. If you pay cash you get a half pound of shrimp but you gotta spend over $25.00. Once you place your order, you head to your table or bar and they bring your food. The fish sandwich had two huge pieces of fish! Hushpuppies were delicious and golden brown. The staff is very helpful and they walk by to see if you need anything.

This pains me to write because I have been visiting Our Deck Down Under for 24 years. It's a very sentimental spot for my family. We were quite disappointed during our last trip. The food quality has gone down hill. The seafood is super fresh, it's the preparation that is lacking. We ordered some crabcakes which were basically mush compacted and sautéed. While I enjoyed my blackened mahi, my dad had the tuna steak which was overcooked and dry. Also we had fried clam strips which was more batter than clams. The wait is super long, plan ahead. If you don't mind sitting at the bar, you can bypass the line. The outdoor deck area is a great spot especially at sunset and if you have kids, they can feed the fish.

Great place to have dinner on the waterfront. It was a nice day and we sat outside. We had the jalapeño poppers and pickle spears and they were good. I had the surf and turf which was a half rack of ribs and fried shrimp. The shrimp are large and butterflied nicely. The ribs had really good flavor. Our server did a nice job and we had no complaints. This is a local favorite that has been around for a while according to people we talked to who recommended.

We love our deck down under! They have great drinks at the bar, my favorite is the Spike banana. It's a great place to sit by the water and have dinner. service is always good

The inside of this place is super cute, and it feels every bit like a family owned restaurant, which I loved. We had a reservation, and we showed up about 5 minutes early, but then 2 other parties of 2 who arrived after us were seated before us even though one of them was a walk in. They were both seated at 4 tops, so I was thinking maybe that's why we didn't get those tables, but when we were finally seated we also got a 4-top. We waited about 20 minutes before I finally asked the host, and then they seated us at the next table that was bussed. Our table was a little tucked away around a corner where you couldn't see it from the entrance. Now, growing up as a person of color, I'm more inclined to notice when I'm the only person of color in a space than most white people I've met are. So, I noticed almost immediately that all the white people who arrived after us were sat before us in very visible tables and then I (the lone brown person) was sat around the corner away from the entry. Now, I don't know these people, so I have absolutely no reason to think that this was intentional, but I need them to realize how it might look. You have to be cognizant of things like that. Even if they just forgot to seat us and the hidden table happened to be the next available, it looked very bad. Now, the server who was assigned to us was awesome. We told her we were in town for Rockville and we all talked about music. She was super nice and attentive. For food, I got the catch of the day grilled with grits and mashed potatoes. When I ordered this, I don't think I imagined how unappetizing it would look. Nevertheless, the fish was well cooked, but I found myself wishing that the grits were a little cheesier, the potatoes were a little smoother, and the fish had a sauce. It was a very drab plate both visually and from a flavor perspective. My companion got the francaise with scallops. It was good, but not enough to fill him up (which we would've expected from the price). So would I go back here? Probably not. I think that this place is kind of overrated, possible because there aren't a lot of nicer options in Daytona. Again, our server was awesome, but the food didn't stand up to our expectations, and the initial experience with getting seated was disappointing at best.

We had chowder, raw oysters, lightly blackened mahi-mahi and peel/eat shrimp. No complaints with any. Peel/eat shrimp came with potatoes and corn, too-- nice surprise. Mahi-mahi came with tasty fries. Just a simple little place with basic menu; I guess I was hoping for a bit more variety and different dishes, this being the 3rd day of seafood fest! No complaints at all, but there are other places in the area with very good seafood, full bar, seating on the water, etc. (I thought this place could probably charge much more, being just as it is, if it were anywhere near the actual beach or waterway).

The served cocktails, so I wanted to try the Frozen Rock Lobster . While it was light in alcohol, it was a refreshing drink. The had a shrimp special for about 17 dollars, so I did the grilled shrimp with a cup of fish and clam chowder on the side (extra 4 bucks). The shrimp was plump grilled nicely. Adding the hot sauce brought the spice level. However, there were times I tasted an ammonia flavor from a shrimp or two, but it wasn't too bad. The chowder was great with generous amount of fish and vegetables. I didn't see a lot of clams, but they were good too. The other sides came from a buffet, and you can have an unlimited amount of them. I tried the potato salad, coleslaw, and couscous. All were just wonderful complements. I wish I took the included cinnamon roll, but I ended my paying my bill and left. The service was great. My server was attentive and helpful, and he responded professionally when I was a bit concerned and upset about seeing some charges I didn't notice that were added. But then he showed in the menu about the credit card fee, which was ok. I also noticed now that they discounted by drink by 99 cents, so the added fee was just a wash. I paid what was expected from the menu. This my apologies to the server for the concern and confusion. The atmosphere was very casual and pretty quiet. There was live entertainment outside when I went, as well as a small slide for the kids. Outdoor seating is available, with gorgeous views of the Halifax River. Best of all, parking was free and ample. I am very happy that my hotel recommended this restaurant. It looks to be a great family friendly restaurant with very nice seafood options. Great views of the river and the prices are reasonable. This a indeed a very nice seafood restaurant with amazing views of the river. Overall: A

We initially wanted to sit outside, but there was a 15-30 minute wait for the patio despite open tables being visible in clear weather. With hungry toddlers in tow, we couldn't wait, so we opted to sit indoors right away instead. Here is a breakdown of the food: -Spinach Dip ($16.99): Served boiling hot (they did warn us). It tasted good once it cooled down, but the overall value isn't worth $16.99 and I wouldn't recommend ordering it. -Grouper & Shrimp Combo ($35.99): Comes with a side salad and a choice of side (went with coconut rice). The shrimp was well-seasoned, flavorful, and easily the best part of the dish. However, the meal was missing depth, the presentation was average, and the coconut rice was dry. For a $35 entree, you expect a far better presentation and execution--it really needed a vegetable side to round it out. My table left happy overall thanks to Katie's service. I would return, but I'll definitely be ordering different dishes next time as the value just wasn't there for these two items.
