Quaint little hole in the wall off I-35. Super reasonable prices, I think the most expensive item on the menu was $13 and that includes two sides AND the drink. They have a daily special on the white board, I got the fried pork chops with baked beans and mashed potatoes plus a delicious iceberg lettuce side salad for 9.99. Everything was delicious. There was a comment above about the waitresses not staying long. Being in a tiny little town that's not exactly affluent, and only two tables occupied during my entire visit, I suspect the tips are atrocious. Waitresses only make like $2/hr and depend on tips for the rest of their income. My waitresses was here by herself besides the cook, she was responsible for waiting plus clearing tables, washing the dishes, manning the checkout, literally everything except the actual cooking. She's been here three days and did a very good job considering she is brand new. I hope she stays. She spent several minutes talking to me about my current trip, checked on me regularly, and checked me out accurately and quickly. Carlos is the cook. He makes some damn good fried pork chops! When I'm traveling I always go out of my way to try to find a decent Mom-and-Pop restaurant to eat at. Sometimes they can be better than those huge National chain restaurants. This happened to be one of those places. I enjoyed the experience. My brother and I stopped here for breakfast this morning. I had the omelette with bell pepper and onion and a side of hash browns. I also had salsa with it. My entire meal was delicious. The coffee was good also. It really hit the spot. The service was good also. It is a tiny restaurant but it is worth it. Breakfast is good and the prices are excellent. If you are driving on Interstate 35 passing through the Eddy, Texas area in the morning and want a good breakfast, this place is worth stopping at. Breakfast ends at 10:30 am. I would definitely eat here again. read more

Very small little place - but they actually service some pretty good food. Great prices. We've ate here maybe 20 times and left happy probably 18 of them. Burgers, steaks and seafood is great. We ordered four milkshakes once and they were out of ice cream. The waitress literally left the restaurant, ran over to the store across the street and bought ice cream, came back and made us delicious shakes. That's customer service, baby. This isn't a gourmet restaurant, so don't expect that level of food. But if I had to choose from a Denny's or Ihop type meal.....I would 100% take Our Daily Bread over those chains every day of the week. One weird thing is that almost every time we've eaten there over the last six months we've only gotten the same waitress twice. It's always somebody different. And they usually have a couple pies for dessert, but often are out of them, which sucks. read more

Very good home-cooked breakfast. Just like what my grandma would make. The waitress was attentive and friendly. She was the only one waiting on everyone but did great with the Saturday morning rush. Perfect amount of food too. The only bad thing to say about the place was that it was hard to get to from the Interstate.. the exit we needed to get off was not there due to the construction coming from South 35 even though the map showed there was.. read more

Excellent local cafe! Great service from friendly staff. I had the grilled chicken salad (because I'm dieting) and it was REAL chicken with delicious flavor and really tender. My son had the butterfly shrimp and an extra side order of Texas Toast. We loved it. I can't wait to try their cheeseburger or chicken fried steak sandwich next time. Oh and their pie!!! read more

Food is generally pretty good. I haven't been in for awhile because the service is pretty spotty pre-COVID so I don't even attempt to try now. I heard that they deliver but it takes hours. If you don't mind waiting/bad service but love a home cooking type food go here read more

Outside of breakfast I will not be ordering for dinner again. Decided to give it a shot after two previous bad experiences. Ordered a fried chicken sandwich with honey mustard and lettuce and onion. Instead got a chicken fried steak sandwich with pickles. Not even remotely close to what I had ordered. And of course no honey mustard. Breakfast is amazing. As far as dinner goes.... read more

We finally made our way to this little restaurant and we love it. The food we've tried so far is excellent. The service is great and its like sitting around with your family and chatting the day away. People talk to each other from table to table and nothing is thought about jumping in on a conversation with other people. We will definitely be making this place a habit. read more

My family and I were in there. Wanted a nice place to eat after almost 20 hours on the road. Service is non existent. I did give our waitress a 20% tip after waiting for her to be done smoking to pay. That was the only pretend smile or niceness she could muster. Clearly she needs it more than we do for basic service training maybe. read more

Breakfast is amazing here. However I ordered the chef salad once for dinner and when I came home and begun eating I realized the eggs still had the shells on them.... And they were sliced up, not sure how the shells went unnoticed? Probably will no longer order dinner from here but their breakfast burritos are delicious! read more

Small and intimate restaurant with easy parking and great food. Attentive waitress and a great cook that prepares enjoyable food served in super large portions ( we often have to save half of or meals for lunch the following day ). The burgers are tasty and the sweet potato sweet fries are really good and well worth trying. Sirloin steak and Fish Platter is huge. Only mediocre food that needs improvement is the green salad that accompanies most meals - vegetables taste like they just came out of a salad bag.
