After just driving from Washington state the restaurant at our hotel was closed. By the time my brother and I were cleaned up we were sure what would be open.. Our Bar was open and still serving food. First impression on walking in is it was a quiet spot on a Tuesday. Mid 20s to 30s just hanging out. Our bartender, Kayla, got right to us and told us the specials. She didn't patronize is to order despite the late hour. Food came hot and was absolutely delicious! After asking about the beer selection she was honest and said she doesn't drink beer but offered what was popular. As the began to clear out due to what I can assume is that no one actually stays in Reno during the summer.. Kayla reassured us that some nights in Reno are hit or miss and invited us back to the bar to hang out. Great experience at this bar! Awesome food and friendly service! Must try!!! read more

Probably the worst service I've ever had. We ordered food and waited for about 45 minutes to an hour while other tables who arrived after us were served. I wouldn't mind if someone had come up to us and let us know they were busy or anything but we sipped on the same glasses of water the entire time. The waitresses are rude and the food subpar. We're older folks looking for some late night food and a cocktail and we stumbled into OUR BAR and were glad we did. Yes we were the older folks and you know we were because the door man didn't ask use for ID like everybody else there that came in after us but that's ok with us. That play good music and Sharks hockey on the boob tube. I ordered a John Daley and the Cuban sandwich the John Daley was perfect you could taste the vodka the lemonade and the ice tea some you can not. But the Cuban that was up there tender pulled pork loaded with melty cheese a twang of mustard and those pickles good stuff. Don't forget about those French fries there fantastic. This is my first time here and I'd have to say that they have the best fries in Reno so far. I also had their Jack Daniels Mahogany Burger and my girlfriend had their their Mahi Fish tacos and the Citrus Caesar Salad. All the food was absolutely delicious and surprisingly inexpensive. I don't know any other bar or establishment around Reno yet with a happy hour consisting of 2.00 beers. George was our bartender and he was friendly, prompt, and fun. Hoyl shit these were the best tacos ever. I tried to magi tacos and the mango shrimp tacos spicy. I also had the pickle fries with my bf. He loved the food and the beer. Food was just ok. I had the pesto chicken sandwich with a salad, and my husband had the shrimp skewer appetizer. The appetizer was TINY and ok at best. My sandwich lacked an extreme amount of flavor. This is one of my fave bars in Reno. I'll be honest, mostly for the food. But the drinks are fine too. The people are usually low-key, although on my most recent visit it got pretty fratty (think Imperial). But The FOOD! The menu is a mix of typical bar food but with a unique twist--I mean, where else can one get fried avocado?! (PS. This is a MUST). I also like the weird layout of this bar, it is really long and narrow. Makes for a more unique atmosphere rather than just a giant open room. I have never written a bad review in my life. Today that changes, the bartender whose name was Kaitlyn was rude, slow, and made terrible basic drinks. I have never had such bad service and disgusting drinks in my life. The bar itself is cool and close to the Rivewalk, making it easy to walk around to other places. The service was horrible! That bartender was literally the worst service I have ever had, and I've had some pretty bad service before! Do your restaurant and bar a huge favor and find better waiting staff, you'll immediately be better. read more

I have NEVER written a review on Yelp before, until now. I've been to Our Bar twice now and shouldn't have returned after the first visit. However, being a believer in second chances, I decided to return for a hopefully redemptive experience. On my first visit I sat at a table for over 20 min. before walking up to the bar and asking to order food. I ordered 10 wings and a water. A relatively simple order, or so I thought. It took Our Bar 38 minutes to fulfill my mundane request. In the time I waited for my wings, I could've flown to a chicken farm, picked out 5 of the most gorgeous birds and trained them to sing Firework by Katy Perry. On my second visit, I knew the hell strategy that they call ordering. I walked up to the bar and promptly told the bartender I would like to order. He said "well I just put in a bunch of orders so I would wait 20 min. and then put in an order." I was flabbergasted by his response to my order. As much as I would like to pull apart his philosophy of ordering, this is not the time or place. I ordered the pork sandwich and a Dr. Pepper. I know what you're thinking "Brandon, why haven't you told me about the food yet." In due time my friend. In due time. And now onto the food. The Thai Orange Wings were decent. Piping hot but a tad over cooked. The sauce was good, sticky and very sweet with a burn at the end. I would like to write a review of the pork sandwich, but I was told that my ticket had not been entered..After waiting another 25 minutes I finally got my sandwich. The meat was good with a fantastic spicy BBQ sauce. The coleslaw was nothing special and I could tell that it had been sitting in the dressing all day. At the end of the day, the food at Our Bar is good. The prices are reasonable, but the biggest flaw is the service. There is no hustle from the staff and no desire to please the customer. Hopefully the owner of Our Bar will read this and hear the need to hire more workers per shift. The real tragedy of Our Bar is that the food and atmosphere have so much potential. I have been here before. I ordered two different meals and they were both scrumptious! When going in, we found a spot but the place was filled. The food was great! I ordered a buffalo ranch burger. If there is a specific way you like your burger cooked that should be mentioned at the time you order. I gave our bar a four star because there was one waitress serving the majority of the people as well as taking walk up orders. The burger, beer and shot special for $10 is obviously popular, but I'm a fan of the tacos (especially the curry one). I only wish they had better service. Cruised my motorcycle downtown and noticed a new bar across from Java Jungle. It's simply named "BAR" They have 12 beers on tap, vintage wood floors and old downtown Reno brick building charm. Great food, drinks, and service. Came for happy hour after work with my hubby. I had the caprese salad, we shared some chicken nachos with avocado, and he had the special which was a tri tip sandwich with garlic mashed potatoes and onion rings - the perfect meal after a long day. Avocado fries, shrimp skewer, and Korean tacos were great for a lunch within walking distance of the office. Lots of cold beer to be found, with lots of Lagunitas on tap. Tasted a sample of their frozen beers, very nice twist and we may come back after hours to try those out some time! Food like this beats eating crud like McD's or enduring one of the casino eateries during Hot August Nights like it is now. This bar is fun and lively. Cory and George are awesome bartenders and I never have to wait long for service. The drinks are reasonable and strong. A previous yelper said she asked the bartender if she could change the music and said the bartender was rude.... there is a jukebox on the bar floor accessible to patrons at all times. She probably got a weird look because you don't usually ask a bartender if you can use it. And if there isn't a jukebox present, I feel asking a bartender to change the music is rude. I've never had their food, but some friends who are regulars say the fries are to die for. They have a jukebox, darts and a pool table on the bar floor if you are looking to play some games. I really enjoyed going here for brunch rather then at night when it's usually more packed. The Biscuits and Gravy special were delicious and the menu seems to have a ton of great food. Not very friendly at all. We went here on Sunday 9/12/21 thinking there was food but the kitchen in back was closed. My friend decided to use the bathroom before we got a drink and the bartender comes out from behind the bar and followed him into the men's room. My friend is very put off by this guy following him into the toilet to "check him out". My friend was upset and wanted to leave. I asked the bartender if he followed my friend into the bathroom and he became aggressive towards me. As he put it "I needed to check you boys out." He squared off like he wanted to fight. He hoped to make me feel threatened as well but I found him utterly rude and disturbing and just said chill as I held up two fingers and walked out. The place is obviously just for locals. Just discovered this place on our recent Reno trip. We are always looking for somewhere to eat other than the casinos. This place was a pleasant surprise. The food was inexpensive and very tasty. I had the Turkey melt and my wife had the French Dip. We both loved our choices. I really like the fries. They were perfectly seasoned. We ate at the bar. The staff were very friendly. What a great way to keep customers from coming back! Started out great. Cool vibe, awesome bloody Mary, ice cold beer. Paid the gal. Tipped. Walked out waving and saying goodbye. That's when it all fell apart. Eric felt the need to completely embarrass his customers by shouting out "oh hey can I get you to pay!" Who does that? I've never been so humiliated.
