This is a low key hidden gem! A great family friend brought us here. This is the most AUTHENTIC Turkish food we've ever had! Fast friendly service from the moment you step in. Super casual, halal Turkish food. It is the closest to the traditional lahmacun in this area, and I'd say best Turkish style doner. The doner wrap comes with fries, which some other spots nearby do not offer. The yogurt sauce also goes well with the doner. Reasonably priced for what you get, would recommend takeout. read more

Ate here for lunch in fall 2024, and had the doner kebabs. I had a choice of what they guy called Turkish style (a wrap) or bread style. I got the Turkish style. The doner was good, but the sauce came on the side. And the tightly wrapped nature of it made it hard to get the sauce on there. So it was a bit dry. Fries came with the doner. They were perfectly crisp and warm, but so overly salted that I couldn't finish them. That was kind of a fail. By biggest issue was the price. The doner and fries were 14.99, which felt like too much for a lunch. And that was the cheapest thing on the menu. It just isn't something I would see as a viable routine lunch option at that price. read more

We just came in with a group of 8, the manager was exceptional - amazing attention to detail, the small plates that came out with bread (eggplant, yogurt, stuffed grape leaves etc) were all exceptional. I had the Adana Kabob platter which was very good, the others who got sandwiches with fries also thought it was very good. No clue why we have never been here... found as we were looking for places near Lowes... while it's small inside in terms of tables... it's not on flavor ! Hubby and I shared the babaganoush, coban salad, and the lamb chops. We thought we had ordered too much but it was so tasty we ate it all... then a couple pieces of baklava... chocolate for me and walnut for him. Really liked the coban salad... if you like hot ask for the hot peppers... they pack a punch but ohhh yum! Glad he asked if we liked heat. First time trying Ottoman Kitchen, but I wasn't able to see the actual establishment, as I ordered delivery. Even though I can't comment much on the place and service, I can definitely say that the food was worth it. I ended up ordering the Lamb Doner Iskender, which had thinly sliced lamb doner mixed with sauce and pita bread. Also had a side of garlic yogurt and veggies. Over the years when I am at an event at the nearby Dullles Expo Center, I make sure to walk around the corner to Ottoman Kitchen. It is a small establishment next to a variety of other interesting restaurants. There is a small dining area but most business is take out. The menu is extensive with a variety of lamb and beef options primarily. The portions are generous, the service speedy and the employees very congenial. Now I always come for the lentil soup, a smoothly blended savory soup with mild spices. It comes with a piece of bread that makes a great dip in the soup. I tried a sample of a beef and lamb grilled meatball and it was nicely flavored and tasty. My friend chose a veggie burger when the falafel was sold out, much to her dismay. However the veggie burger came with a choice of accompaniments. The side is standard fries, for those that are not very adventurous. There is a profusion of desserts, most made with pistachios. I tried the filo, honey and pistachio wedge twice and it was a delicious blend of nutty and sweet. The food is cooked to order for the most part. If you like to go off the standard restuarant fare and try something a bit different, try Ottoman Kitchen. The menu items are tasty and mild enough for modt any palate. read more

Ottoman kitchen is located near the expo center and serves a variety of Turkish and Mediterranean dishes. It has zero ambiance but the service is quick and the dishes are solid. The tv monitor menus were turned off so I referenced the laminated menus at the register. WARNING! Listed prices on laminated menus are out of date and the real price is about 30% more. The dishes were all well prepared. I found it interesting that the cashier said the bread doesn't come with the mezze. What else would it be eaten with? I'd like to return to try their sandwiches soon but this is not a destination restaurant so far. read more

The food was hit or miss. Some items tasty like the eggplant dip on the Mezze platter and others terrible like the fries. The restaurant is incredibly dirty though, feet stick to ground, booth wasn't clean. A bit pricey for fast casual. Mezze platter didn't come with any bread which is odd since it was like 5 dips and some grape leaves which were ice cold. My wrap was decent overall but the meat in both disheshad a decent amount of gristle that wasn't the best. So for fast casual it's ok but meal for two with one soda and one app was over $45. The food was bad the burger meat was old or poor quality meat. The burger also had a lot of sauce on it so i had to remove it entirely from the bun and scrape off as much sauce as i could. The lamb doner wrap was bad and i had to throw it away after a few bites and it was again something with the meat the meat had a very strong smell to it and also an odd taste. I don't know if that's natural, if the meat was aged or due to the particular cut of the meat or just the quality. Usually gyro places use a lamb meat gyro or lamb/beef mix gyro but they don't have the smell or taste of this meat, although this was more like slices of lamb meat not chunks like other places. The owners or managers seem nice and they did include a free baklava in my order which was good. I did not like the yaprak lamb doner wrap or the burger i don't know if I would get those again. In my opinion they need to change the type or quality of the meat used, change the type of bun used on the burger and not put any sauces on the sandwiches themselves just include all sauces as side items. I actually do not remember how the French fries were. They do have some Turkish soda which was good and different. read more

Everything we ordered from here was delicious and fresh. The lamb and beef döner was fresh and delicious. Surprisingly, we preferred the chicken döner. It just had amazing flavor and was very tender. The grilled veggies were great as was the baba ganoush. The rice had great flavor as well. The dolmas were some of the best I've ever had, and the baklava was the best I've ever had. It is thinly sliced chicken with rice, french fries, grilled tomatoes, peppers, and some sort of yogurt sauce. I order takeout because the place is small. I'm sorry about my last review but really the air condition issue was so bad! I'm eating there for the second time after they fixed the AC , it's now good! From the beginning I said that the food here is really amazing!!! I tried the both kinds of Döner and the Iskender!! They are amazing! I'm planning to try more items but I can't go there without eating lamb-beef Döner first then it makes me full! My tip for you is to ask them nicely to switch the French fries with rice, eat the rice with the lettuce and Tabasco hot sauce. Then use the other toppings with the Döner! Then till me how awesome am I after that! Lol The owner is very nice friendly person and I really wanna thank him for his very nice attitude all the time, he put his heart in this place and he will see that rewarding him and his business! My husband wanted to try out the mixed grill at this hole in the wall. It comes with rice, onion salad and fries. I had explained to the person on the phone, when I placed the order that I didn't want fries, I would be ok with some extra salad instead. She seemed like she got it and was agreeable to the idea, but her English was poor and she didn't get it, instead she tried to charge us extra for another salad, we gave up and left the salad and took just the grill box which was rather small for $23. It came with no sauces, but there was a tortilla with the meat. Everything was just ok, nothing special, I wouldn't recommend this place or visit again. read more
