Lamb Burger
Mark O.

My team ordered dinner from Rosemary Thyme Bistro during a late night work session. I got the lamb burger which was really good. My side was chips but when I got the food the chips were a little stiff. The burger was well seasoned and juicy. I'm a fan.

If you'd like to look at this, Pizza, order the next time you're in. A little artichoke mushroom and pepperoni with garlic. Amazing.

Food, service and ambience is all important, but the food is money. Everything is delicious, but the pizza out of the Wood fire oven is amazing

This was a very hard review to write. Right now its a 3.5. But I do recommend giving it a try. They do some cool and unique things here but have a couple of misses. Of the 4 dishes served 2 were great and 2 were so so. The menu has some cool things on it that need to be explored. The tortilla was actually hand made and I never saw that before. The Thai wrap was a miss but the veggie was a hit. The Thai was sauce failed. The chicken Sammy with veggies was loved. We sat outside and the server knew we wanted to hang out and did not pressure us. Extensive menu and good prices. Food was fresh. I will come back and update review.

Lunch Chicken Shish

We had a lovely family luncheon today, thank you! If you haven't tried this local eatery, then check out this very nice restaurant. They have a special oven which makes fabulous fresh flatbreads and pizza crusts. The ingredients used here are top quality...everything is homemade right down to the salad dressings. Fresh vegetables and salad greens. The Cesar salad dressing is yummy. Complimentary fresh home baked bread and dip. Fish is always a good choice here. Pide is a house specialty not to be missed. Soups are always fresh and homemade. Lovely aborio-style short grained rice as a side with the shish is yummy. The veggies are FRESH and not frozen.

Just one thing DO NOT west your money! All food is not tasty & hot. Also, the portion sizes & toppings are not good enough to eat.

Not great, not terrible. More than likely will not return. The seafood pappardelle pasta was meh.

Incredible restaurant. We've been hearing great things about Cazbar for years and finally decided…read moreto go. Was a great decision!! Really interesting menu. We learned quite a bit about Turkish dining, as typically uninformed Americans. The food was great, with nice big portions. The waitstaff is wonderful. Answered all of our questions (we had many). Patient. Observant. Couldn't have been better. We went on a weeknight and it was surprisingly empty. Our waiter said it's usually much busier. And especially so on weekends, mostly due to the belly dancers (Fridays and Saturdays I believe). We'll definitely be returning. Really great restaurant.

It is worth walking around the restaurant to view all the pretty decorations. The menus are media pads that don't get wiped off (gross). I don't understand how a restaurant that has technology (and a robot busser) can't sort out separate checks. Groups of six or more are charged a 20% service charge. Large groups are charged a $25 fee for using a credit card. My suggestion is stop handing out the pretty bags for leftovers and get rid of the credit card fee. We have a group of eight that meets once a month. We won't be back as a group. It might be fun to return sometime with less people and watch belly dancing. The menu is extensive (a bit confusing on the media pad) and has vegan and vegetarian options. The portions are decent. The items are flavorful and most are pricey. Guests who split a dish with someone are charged $15 for not ordering an entree. The watermelon margarita was pretty. I appreciated pitchers of water at the table. The cold hummus trio was tiny and tasty. The red lentil soup was nicely seasoned and barely warm. The sweet potatoes were nicely presented, flavorful and not filling. The red sauce wasn't too spicy but ketchup tasted better. The lamb moussak eggplant dish was large. The Doneri Iskender lamb dish was $10 more with bread and sauce. The vegetable kebab had zucchini & squash. My friend didn't want the rice & bread so she substituted a salad. $40 for a skewer & small salad seemed excessive. The salad with chicken was large. Everyone enjoyed the lamb. The desserts were large enough to share. The noodle breaded dessert was interesting. I enjoyed seeing the dishes. The Chocolate cake was yummy. The baklava was sweet and good. They only had the green flavor. The server was mostly locked into our needs. The manager gave everyone a pretty to go bag. You can see the menu on your phone & can avoid the over used media pad.

Lots to like at Smyrna!…read more I highly recommend the 3-course express lunch menu, which includes a starter and dessert. At $24 as of this writing, this is a great value! Decorated in clean blue and white colors, Smyrna has an appealing feel. Smyrna also has a rear patio open during good weather. We were started out with very decent complimentary warm pita bread. For my first (starter) course, I ordered the chicken avgolemono soup. While the soup was packed with tender chicken, I was disappointed that the soup didn't really have much of a tart, lemony flavor. It actually was bland. But what more than made up for the avgolemono soup was the beef Keftdedes I chose for my second course. This dish came with absolutely the best tomato-based sauce I've ever had anywhere anytime! Delicious and fabulous!! The beef keftdedes were plump ground beef patties served over little squares of pita bread and topped with the tomato sauce and also a yogurt sauce. JP ordered the Imam Bayildi, which was good. It came with roasted eggplant, diced tomatoes and diced onions. For our third course (dessert), I ordered the Revani, which was a moist dense semolina cake topped with ice cream and chocolate shavings. Outstanding flavor and texture. Perfect! JP ordered the walnut baklava which was excellent. Service was friendly and fine. Other than the avgolemono soup, this was indeed a five star dining experience.

Smyrna is a very unassuming Mediterranean restaurant located at a shopping center. If you blink you…read moremiss it, but you do not want to miss it. I visited on a Sunday evening with some friends who hosted me in Alexandria when my flight out of DCA was postponed. I would recommend bringing a couple of friends here to dine, ordering a lot of items and sharing. We started with a couple of spreads, and the Baba Ghannush was my favorite. I also had a Greek salad, and we had some chicken souvlaki. The entrees are shareable and a large portion, and my friend also got an order of soup for the next day, since we knew we'd be snowed in. The service was wonderful, and the inside of the restaurant itself is gorgeous. One word of advice- do NOT sit near the door on a cold day because that wind kept coming into the building. The happy hour and lunch deals are excellent, so if you're nearby, it is worth stopping in.
