I checked in with the receptionist, Nakita, who confirmed my appointment. I explained that I needed to leave within two hours to pick up my son from school, and she acknowledged this. I asked her for an approximate cost if a transmission fluid change was needed. She replied that she had no idea. I was then referred to the office manager (a heavyset, balding Hispanic male), but when I asked him for an estimate, he gave evasive responses such as, "It might be very expensive, we have to do the complete diagnostic on your vehicle, we don't know what it might need until we do it." I simply wanted a general price range but was not given any clear information. After waiting 2.5 hours, I noticed my car had not been worked on and was still sitting untouched. I explained to the receptionist that I needed to leave and asked to pay for whatever had been done so far. She told me I could not leave until they were finished. At this point, the service manager approached me and told me: "Take your car and don't come back here. Y'all [N-words] be bugging."
