We purchased a 1950s ranch style house that had not been updated in over 30 years - our list of updates was extensive and truthfully we had never embarked on such a large project. Deciding to renovate the kitchen, a bathroom, replace all of our windows, restore the hard wood floors, add a new entry way as well as closets and built-ins, and vault the ceilings in the kitchen and family room, we begun the process of interviewing general contractors to obtain estimates, learning about the quality of their work, approaches to design consultation and relationships with clients.
We decided to work with Ed Oteri and his team for many reasons, including his calm demeanor, overall experience and consultative approach. We definitely had opinions and a vision, but Ed also brought many great ideas into the plan -- the end result was amazing. He also works with a talented designer who provided multiple 3D renderings throughout the process which really helped us visualize the end results.
Ed was the only contractor that did not balk at our desire to vault the ceilings. He was also very willing to show us recent projects so we could see first hand the quality of his work...we knew we were in good hands.
Throughout the project Ed was very responsive and we had regular check-ins which was helpful - knowing what was happening when and how was a big help to us. We are very happy with our decision to go with Oteri Construction. Hands down we absolutely recommend him! read more
