Hollenbeck Burrito
Steve C.

We were starving. Arrived around 3:30 after a day at the Nixon Library. We asked and were seated immediately at an outside table. Clean, nice music playing. Chips and salsa were brought and we ordered guacamole. Wonderful. I ordered the "Hollenbeck" burrito-huge super delicious. My wife got a fish taco and a carnitas taco. Wonderful. The tortillas were being made fresh right by our table. The waitress was very friendly and helped us with questions about catering.

Quesadilla

The food is really good, and my son loved it, especially the music. The staff is very friendly, and the ambience was great. I've been coming to this place for many years but hadn't visited in a while. I'm glad to see they're still operating, and I will definitely be coming back again.

Burrito

I ordered a asada burrito and they forgot to put everything else that comes in it. No rice no beans etc. There was a time when osunas used real carne asada. This was very chewy. A burrito like this should no more than $8.99. They really stepped down in quality here.

Shrimp Ranchera

We've been coming to Osuna's for over 20 years. We love that the food is freshly cooked. While the menu has changed over the years, I do miss their Shrimp A La Diabla plate. Today, I had the Shrimp Ranchera and it was very tasty, but I wish they would bring back A La Diabla.

Shrimp ceviche

Absolutely worth the drive! We live a ways from Osuna's, but let me just say--it was so worth it. The shrimp and fish ceviche was absolute perfection: super flavorful and didn't need a single thing added. Same with the guacamole--and I'm really picky when it comes to guac. I usually end up adding lemon or salt, but this one was spot-on as is. Prices were very affordable, and the restaurant itself is super cute. Our only complaint was the music. It just didn't match the vibe. They were playing a lot of Mexican pop like Shakira, but when we're at a Mexican restaurant, we're hoping for the classics--Ramón Ayala, Vicente Fernández, etc. That kind of music would've made us want to hang out and spend more. Hopefully the music will be better next time, because if it is, we'll definitely stay longer and order more! Also our waitress Martha was the best! She was very attentive, super nice, checked on us regularly. She went above and beyond for us. She invited us back for Sunday brunch, and we will definitely come back to give it a try asap :)

Hollenbeck burrito

My husband and I have been going to Osuna's for decades, but we haven't eaten there in a few years. We recently ordered a Hollenbeck burrito (chile verde, Mexican rice, refried beans, and topped with chile verde). The prices have definitely gone up, and this burrito cost $15. However, it was huge. And, it was delicious! It was enough for both of us, and we couldn't even finish it. Our absolute favorite is their Huevos Nortenos (two eggs over easy served over a tortilla, topped with green chile sauce, cheese, and sliced avocado). It also comes with a chunk of pork! It's the best breakfast in town!

Good service. Not crazy about the cheese enchiladas or strawberry margarita. The red sauce was mediocre.

A couple weeks ago, we finally made it to dinner here, and I'm impressed…read more We started with apps: fried oysters (because I always like), and the coconut snails. Let me say the snails were a highlight. Surprisingly tender and flavorful. Sometimes, snails can have a livery / dirt / bitter flavor, but not these. And we were lucky rice wasn't on the table, because we would have stuffed ourselves eating rice with that wonderful sauce. Next comes the boil itself. My wife insisted on "no-spice" (ugh). But I got a side of the house sauce with med-spice. Let me tell you. That sauce. Again, good thing no rice on the table, because I'm already drowning everything in that sauce. Esp the garlic bread. The seafood was fine. You're not at the pier / Hawaiian beach / HK wet market fresh off the boat & straight into your mouth scenario. But fine. We're planning to be there again tomorrow. BTW, that boy scout selling popcorn a few years ago? He made it. He's now an Eagle Scout. Thanks again for the icy refreshing drinks on a hot day.

Even while staying busy, she made sure we had everything we needed and checked on us regularly. Great service like that really elevates the whole dining experience. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the mood for an amazing seafood boil!

The squeeze of lime was perfect to cut through the richness of the sauce and beef and I will come back just for this dish for sure. 10/10 Garlic string beans: cooked nicely and garlicky and was very satisfying. That said I think there could have been some extra savory notes to make it better, thaif said still very enjoyable. 8/10 Basil fried fish: spicy and sauced up fried fish with Thai Basil and jalapeños. This dish had a ton of fish and still had some crunch to it even though it was covered in that simple delicious sauce. 8.5/10 Seafood hong kong chow fun with gravy: healthy portion of sauced up noodles with a bunch of shrimp, imitation crab, and squid. Overall it was enjoyable but could have used some more imparted flavor. I am interested to come back and try the dry version or possibly the fried noodle version of the dish as opposed to the gravy version. In short, the food was delicious overall and would be happy to come back and try more things on the menu. Everyone else in the restaurant ordered the big giant lobsters and they looked amazing. I will definitely come back to try it out as well as other items.

This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Rowland Heights. This is an authentic Cantonese…read morerestaurant that serves traditional Cantonese style food. I think this restaurant is famous for their Lobsters but I never come here for that. My family is not a huge fan of Lobsters and I can't really afford that kind of Luxury. Most of the time I come here for the set meals. The second set meal has 1 soup and 3 dishes. We ordered the house special seafood soup, Clam with Basil Sauce, Sautéed Pea Sprout, and Kung Pao Chicken. With the set meal prices, each dish is less than $14. My wife likes the Peking Style Pork Chop so we got that too separately. Most restaurant charges $2-2.50 for a bowl of rice. This restaurant only charges $1 per person and gives you a giant pot of rice so you can have second or third if you are hungry. Traditional Cantonese restaurants usually have crappy service but the staffs here are very nice. They frequently change your plates and the food is served quickly. The restaurant is pretty clean. The best of all, the food quality is very good with good value. We like their Kung Pao chicken because the chicken is fried before stir fried and they made sure to use dark meat. I usually don't eat Pea Sprouts but this version is tender and garlicky. The Basil Clam meat is fat and each clam has sauce coating it. They are not cheap with the quantity of clams either. The dish is filled to the max. If you are looking for a traditional Cantonese food, this is the place. It is both affordable and tasty. Give them a shot.
