High quality pizza with high quality ingredients. You can order via a QR code as needed regardless if you are sitting inside or outside. I got the salad dop, as well as margarita and the tre carne pizzas. It was a nice light version of a meat lovers style pizza. I really enjoyed them both! The also do pastas which I would love to try next time! So many fun apps and drinks as well. Lovely spot with quick service even when busy. We sat outside which was lovely.
Unique experience where the Pie Maestro is crafting artisanal pies in a wood fired oven right in front of you. It's an order as you go place, scan the QR and pick from an online menu. They are ricky ticky quicky with everything but the pies. So order your pie, then your apps & drinks. Apps & drinks literally came in 1-3 minutes of ordering them. I screwed up and selected the deep fried Olives, I don't like olives...but they were delicious. I ordered the burrata app, the others liked it, I found out I don't care for burrata. The orzo & cheese balls were great. The salad was phenomenal. Their crust is amazing, and the care they take in curating the pizzas comes through in the taste. High end toppings and tons of flavor. The place is smallish so you may have to wait.
Came back for more: this time we had a citrus salad which I really liked but my hubby found it to be too tart. Then THE best pasta dish with squash and butter sage sauce (Cappalletti) ... yumm!! And a pizza Genovesa which had some shredded beef, broth, grilled onions and rosemary. Good, but I liked the pasta better. Of course we needed the panna cotta as dessert since it just the right sweetness for a dessert
Delicious food beautifully presented and plated. Kind service with a smile. Really enjoyed the salad with the lemon vinaigrette. The pizza and pasta were delicious too but would have asked them to hold back on the extra salt (sea salt?) on the pizza. I liked the restaurant ambiance overall but seating along the side as a party of two with our backs to the rest of the patrons is a little off putting. I'd have preferred siting at a small table for two but that was not an option that no that night for us. Look forward to returning for dinner.
I've had Osteria DOP on my "visit in Eugene" list for a while and was pleased to visit when I was home visiting a few weeks ago. My sister had been curious about it as well so we stopped in to pick up dinner after the First Friday Art Walk. The restaurant was busy--all the tables inside were taken and their outdoor seating was claimed as well. They don't take reservations or anything and supposedly they sometimes have lines forming before the restaurant even opens! We were going to take and run anyway and once we placed our order it was about 20 minutes until it was ready. We ordered a variety of things since we were taking home to others and to get a sampling of what they have to offer. We got the Suppli, which are risotto balls... but the breaded olives looked great too (next time!). The Agnolotti is something I'd never heard of before and looked so good, so that was next on our order. We also got the Puglian pizza, and some Zeppoli to finish. Everything was perfect. My favorite were pizza and the agnolotti. I would get any of the stuff again but definitely those two. Next time I really want to try the Patata pizza. I am so glad they're in Eugene and can't wait to come back. I was afraid the bill was going to be like $125 but it was half that, thankfully. No parking--you might find street parking around but there's also the parking garage basically across the street. And the downtown station for LTD is only a couple blocks away as well. Whatever you need to do to get here, get here--you'll be glad you did.
Finally got to check out this popular spot--and overall, it was a great experience! First off, the customer service was top-notch. I really appreciated the attention to detail, especially the helpful explanation on how to order. I don't mind using Toast for table-side ordering, but it can definitely be a bit tricky. I was able to navigate the menu, make my selection, and place my order without issue. However, my friends had some trouble with the app and weren't able to place theirs until about 15 minutes later. Luckily, their food still came out shortly after mine--so no big disruption there! Now, onto the food. I'm a huge fan of Calabrian chilis, so I was super excited to see a Calabrian pizza on the menu. I'll fully own that I didn't read the entire description closely, but I was a little disappointed to find that there were no actual chilis--just chili oil. Unfortunately, the oil was pretty heavy-handed, which left the crust soggy and caused the cheese and pepperoni to slide right off each slice. Flavor-wise, it was still delicious, and the pepperoni ratio was spot on, but the structure just didn't hold up. That said, I'll absolutely be back to try a different pizza. I really enjoyed the vibe, the service, and the overall experience--just didn't love the pizza I picked this time.
Great food ... best in Eugene! People are nice and love sitting at the chefs table. Good price on wines
This place was amazing! Definitely the overall favorite from our visit to Eugene (and the whole town knew it, because we waited a little over an hour for a table despite arriving right when they opened at 5pm). No reservations, so walk up when they opened at 5pm to either get seated or get added to the waitlist. It's a small, cozy spot serving up handmade pizzas, pastas, and more. Casual service (order off the QR codes) but delicious food. FOOD RATINGS: - Montanara pizza (5/5): This was the best pizza I've ever had! The lightly fried dough was a game changer, and the smoked mozzarella leveled this up from your typical margherita pie. Bursting with flavor and just so chef's kiss. They give you scissors to cut your own slices, but I ate the entire thing. - Rigatoni (4/5): Basic but elevated and delicious nonetheless. This took a while to come out (the pizzas are quick in comparison), but was worth waiting for. Simple tomato sauce, al dente pasta, sausage, and creamy burrata. Loved it!
We happened upon this restaurant while passing through the area, having no idea that people wait in line for entrance, which lucky for us wasn't needed on that Tuesday night not long after 5pm. The service was great - every time I looked up for someone I was asked what I needed in a friendly way. All order was on the smart phones, and that went better than I'd seen anywhere. Drinks were delivered in a couple of minutes. Pizza was delivered in barely more time than that. We had the Salsiccia, which had what I like to call a "nice burn" - spicy enough to leave some heat in my mouth but not overpowering. The broccoli was nicely crisped, the sausage quite tasty, and the chili oil did a great job of providing that aforementioned kick. I also had a cocktail called Oaxacan Negroni, which was strong, sweet and flavorful. I loved it all.

Very good Italian restaurant with a fun vibe. If you get the chance to sit at the chefs table do so, you won't regret it. It is exciting to watch how the kitchen operates up close. All employees were professional though not a lot of smiles (serious about their job). Looked like they were a little tired and had a long day. But still were great. Let's talk food. We ordered a lot as it was our first time. We Ordered the fried mac n cheese wedges, good but salty, Also ordered the burrata which was very good. Next were the meatballs. They were very VERY GOOD. Moist, flavorful and the marinara sauce was outstanding. Golf ball size and at least 5 of them. Great to share. We ordered Rigatoni, Gnocchi (would order again), Bucatini, and a seasonal pizza with squash. All were good. We found that all the pastas were slightly undercooked and chewy (not al dente') and all were salty. When told to the head chef his reaction was not what I expected. Kind of like ok or good and then he turned around moved on. Didn't really seem to want to hear us or even care. For dessert We had the donut balls which were light and fresh and were served with a lemon curd and powdered sugar. Ordering at the chefs table was fun because you do it on your phone. Be prepared as dishes come out quickly. Inside tip- never order it all at once or you will be overloaded with dishes. We went in order starting with the appetizers, main course and then half way through we ordered the Neapolitan style pizza. Perfect timing. It is a Nice busy place where everyone enjoyed themselves. There was a Line outside the door at 8pm. Go early and reserve a spot it is very popular place. Enjoy!!! read more

What a hit! Delicious pasta, amazing wood fired pizza, and cannolis and that are to-die-for. Everything we ordered was delicious and fresh, I really don't think you can go wrong here. The fried castelvetrano olives were my favorite appetizer! They don't do reservations I think, but we were seated even within an hour on a busy Friday night after checking in. You can order a cocktail or wine while you wait for a table! Sitting at the chef's table in the back was so fun; we loved getting to see everything being made and it definitely made us order more dishes as we saw them being made haha. Tip: don't do the "group table" ordering through the QR code thing. Just order separately and individually, unless you all want to pay together. It was pretty confusing. Our server told us (3) to do the group thing since it would be easier but it was a cluster. I added stuff to my seat, then hit submit, and everything that my other group members were thinking of and had in their cart was just submitted as well. Welcome to 2023! Just do it individually, a lot simpler. read more
Such an amazing restaurant and one of my absolute favorite places in town. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu here. The flavors are unique and executed perfectly. Plus, the prices are really reasonable for such good food! If you're looking for a sign to treat yourself here, this is it! read more

This place is great. We came on a Friday night at 6:30 and assumed it would be busy (it was) but we got a seat at the long bar-type area that runs around one wall of the restaurant. Not the best or most romantic view but it allowed us to get a seat right away which I appreciated. The vibe is trendy but also laid-back. The food was amazing! Everything we ordered was delicious and fresh and I love that they use seasonal local produce. We split a salad, an order of lamb gnocchi and two desserts. The gnocchi and panna cotta were my favorites. They have a great cocktail and wine selection and some good NA cocktails (including a virgin negroni) for sober folks. The service was great, too. Our food and drinks came out quickly. The staff was very friendly. You order and pay on your phone which I like, but others may not. (They have paper menus, too, if you want to peruse them that way.) We'll be be back! read more
Truly a gem. I was in town in Eugene, Oregon for a couple days and I took a quick look on yelp and found this place. I showed up and on a Tuesday night. It was already packed with some people overflowing outside. Luckily I was able to get a table for one at the chefs table. Although what I didn't like is that ordering is by your phone and scanning a QR code. It felt a little bit impersonal. I took a quick look at the menu and ordered a fried risotto bowl and then look at the pastas and whenever I see gnocchi, I can never pass it up. I thought the risotto ball was nice however the flake salt that they put on top is a little bit too salty and overpowers the flavors of the risotto bowl. I also found that gnocchi was too salty as well however, the flavors were very nice. Lastly, I ordered their sausage pizza and I must say the star of this place is the dough. The dough is absolutely amazing. I myself also make pizza so I know what it takes to make a good Neapolitan pie. What are the best parts about this place is the ambience and the people. I had a brief moment to speak with the owner and the manager and each of them seem to care a lot about the restaurant.I wanna come back and try more things at the rest of the menu looks amazing. read more

My wife and I are always on the hunt for somewhere we can both eat with my dietary restrictions. I'm dairy free, egg free pescatarian and it's rough so I was excited to find a wood fired pizza I could eat with her. Add the clever translation of their name and we were all about it! The vibe is trendy and fun and it's super busy. We had a group of 4 and the only seating for us was either lined against the wall or the chefs table, which is where we sat. Hard to make conversation but it was unique to be able to watch the chefs work their magic. Now that was fun and a special kind of torture. Watching the chefs plate these wonderful dishes I can't eat was just agony but it was a super fun experience. We started with an interesting appetizer. It was a Fava puree with braised dandelion greens and a chili oil drizzle. It was good, odd but good. It came with a crunchy bread. The bread was too crispy, it hurt my gums a little to eat it and the entire dish was a just a hair too salty. My wife and I had high hopes for the pizza. She had the Calabrian Pizza and I had the Marinara Pizza. First, while the woodfire crust was tasty it was soggy and limp as the pasta they were expertly plating in front of us. The oven was too hot, the top was cooked to perfection but the bottom just hung limp, flaccid and full of disappointment. The marinara on my pizza was good but didn't have enough heat in my opinion. I even added a chili oil drizzle and red pepper flake and it was still quite tame. My wife was not impressed with her pizza either. Again, good sauce but the meat was fairly bland, the cheese was a little greasy and in all not as impressive as we assumed with the great reviews we've read. Oh, and the oddest thing. They don't cut the pizza, they serve it with scissors so you cut it yourself......with scissors? Not even sure what to think about that lol. The staff is super friendly and the chefs interacted with those of us sitting at the table in a friendly manner. In all, a little pricy for what we got but it was definitely a fun spot to enjoy a meal. read more

This was really good high quality food. Efficient, unobtrusive service. If you are looking for Michelin star ambiance - this is not your place. However, many dishes here tonight rivaled some one star Michelin meals. The Oaxacan Negroni was great (and strong) and lemoncelli spritz was so good my wife had two. The fried calvestrano olives were unique and delicious, and the risotto ball was tasty. The potato gnocchi with lamb ragu was my favorite dish of the night. We love anchovies so we had the Amalfi pizza with added mushrooms and sausage. We had the fried donuts and cannelloni to finish- the donuts won that battle read more

Easily a top 3 favorite meal. We are so lucky to have something like this in Eugene of all places. Highly recommend! read more
My friends and I found this location by chance as we were craving some Italian food after a hike around the area. Given that it hasn't blown up on social media/full of yelp reviews yet, I would consider this to be a hidden gem. The atmosphere felt extremely friendly and quaint, sort of a local hometown vibe where everyone knew everyone. Maybe this experience was biased as we were sitting by a table who definitely knew the owners and were definitely regulars. They told us next time we stopped by we gotta get the pizza with the buffalo mozzarella, so maybe that's just what I'll do. As an FYI, if you order pizza expect a pair of scissors to cut the pizza yourself. ..... MARINARA: 5/5 this was an honest mistake of an order, I was trying to get the Margherita - so I was already a little disappointed with low expectations. BUT this pizza surprised me. the sauce was extremely flavorful that it made me think woah maybe I would intentionally order this next time, but also if it tastes this good without mozzarella, how would it taste WITH mozzarella? STRAWBERRY SPRITZ: 4/5 I actually didn't catch the name of this, and can't find the menu online which is a bummer - but hopefully this description paints enough of a picture so you can identify it yourself. Fresh strawberries with a bit of prosecco for a little bit of that bubbliness. SPAGHETTI WITH OLIVE OIL AND FRESH VEGETABLES: 5/5 I also didn't catch the name of this, but it tasted sooo good for all vegetarians out there, I just wish there was more of it! the more I tried to find a menu, the more I think this was a seasonal option. read more

Phenomenal pizza! Salad was excellent as well. Service leaves a bit to be desired as they make you order with a QR code and the hostess was masked up so you could barely understand her. That was the only negative and didn't take much away from it. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area. Truly a great pizza. Perfect execution. read more

We are extremely lucky to have this business in Eugene. This is the best restaurant in town in my opinion. I've been going to the food truck for a while and consistently impressed by the best pizza I've ever had (including some with sourdough crust), delectable salads, zeppoli, everything made with care and expertise. DOP stands for "Denominazione d' Origine Protetta," a label used on food products that denotes quality ingredients from a specific region. It is a fitting name, as everything here tastes special, made with the most flavorful ingredients and seasoned just right--but simple and understated, as Italian food should be. The white bean purée is a delicious appetizer (and vegan), arancini make you feel like you're roaming Rome, gnocchi sauce is a tomatoverse that makes you just want to melt, beet raviolis with that bright pop of fresh ingredients, subtle, light, fresh pana cotta for dessert, and of course every single pizza is a masterpiece... going on and on about the food feels kind of silly, because the main thing to know is that it is next level without being even remotely pretentious. Seating is limited and it's hard to get a table, but there are lots of spaces along a side bar, a clever use of the space. Open kitchen lets you observe the chefs at work. How did Eugene get so lucky? Update: vegetarian pro tip: Make sure to click on the menu item when using the online ordering system and review all the ingredients. Some of the pizzas do have meat on them but it's the last ingredient listed, so you have to look carefully, not just first glance from the menu. Also, the donuts are divine. read more

Truly some of the best food I have EVER had. Everything was so delicious. We sat at the counter top and got to watch the chefs cook which was even cooler. Decided to try this restaurant per Yelp reviews and so happy we did! My daughter and I were in town touring U of O and Osteria DOP was the perfect end to our day. We shared the DOP salad, Burrata and the Bianca pizza. We sat at the kitchen bar so could watch the food being made, which was a cool experience. Everything was fresh, seasoned perfectly and absolutely delicious! The staff were all very attentive and seemed to really enjoy working here making for a relaxed and fun atmosphere. We will definitely be back! read more

Went here tonight with a friend! I love how casual the environment is with lots of bar seating and we were seated quickly despite it being busy on a Friday night. You order online to your table and it comes out as it's prepared, so your dish is always fresh, and you can order more as you go easily. We opted to share a margarita pizza, and the rigatoni pasta. Both were fantastic. I got the Cello Spritz drink which was light and refreshing and my friend got the Aperol Spritz which was equally light and refreshing! We ended the night with the Zeppole which is comparable to a donut or beignet. Absolutely delish with a lemon curd sauce (highly recommend paying $1 for the extra sauce). Really excellent spot to go with friends! We will be back. read more

We will be back to try more. Very friendly greeting right when we walked in and the place was packed. I loved the visual of pizza being made out in the open in the front and the open chef station in the back. Clean. Fast service. Attentive staff all around. If your plate is empty they ask if they can take it away for you. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable for how busy they were. The QR code ordering system here is by far my favorite out of all the other QR code systems. You don't pay or add tip until you're ready to close your tab so there is only one charge to your account and you're not tipping ahead of time. This place really stands out. The layout is narrow and long, but they accommodate by having a low bar top running across the wall which is great for 1-2 people dining. There are also indoor tables as well as outdoors if you like sidewalk dining. The food. The FOOD. Excellent, flavorful, high quality and something for everyone. Hubby got the Calabrian pizza (great for people who like red pizzas) and I got the Puglian (great for people who like white pizzas). The salad was light and refreshing, which we shared. Yum! I can't wait to come back and try more of what's on their menu. When we were finished eating a gentleman came over and made small talk, asked if we'd been there before, etc. He was appreciative of us coming. Maybe the owner. Very nice and welcoming. The gentleman who was non stop putting pies in and taking them out even took time out to talk to us. Love, love, love! read more

Came here for dinner around 8pm and the restaurant was pretty busy. Luckily, it was just two of us so we were able to get seats right away. Ordering through the scan barcode menu was smooth and easy. We appreciated that the menu had pictures for every item, which made it easy to decide. We ended up ordering the Burrata, Calabrian Pizza, the Tagliatelle pasta, and an order of Cannolis. The food was freshly made and you can tell it was made with quality ingredients. Will definitely be back! read more

Super cool vibe when you walk in, was about 30 min wait for 1 and hour for 2.. ( you can usually tell how good a place is by how busy they are ) this place was not the exception. Got sat and you order via your phone, everything comes out as it's made and is super delicious. I got the risotto mozzarella ball which was 5/5 the salad was delicious and the paperdelli was hand made and so tasty. Come here and come hungry the pizza is next up on my list. read more
