Came here for dinner around 8pm and the restaurant was pretty busy. Luckily, it was just two of us so we were able to get seats right away. Ordering through the scan barcode menu was smooth and easy. We appreciated that the menu had pictures for every item, which made it easy to decide. We ended up ordering the Burrata, Calabrian Pizza, the Tagliatelle pasta, and an order of Cannolis. Very lively and busy. They have an efficient text system that tracks one's wait time for a table. Everything we ate was excellent! We just came back from Italy, and the pizza at Osteria DOP was on par and excellent. We had a delicious salad, burrata cheese app, and my husband enjoyed the tagliatelle with melt in our mouth pork pieces. We forgot the name. The staff was excellent. They all worked so hard and had great teamwork. They not only did their primary job, but we saw them help in other areas. It was super busy last night -Friday. I've gone twice in the past week. Both times i'd rate it a 10/10. The staff aren't overbearing, they're knowledgeable and authentic to the nature of the restaurant and the atmosphere it provides. I don't love ordering off of my phone from a QR code, but the quality of food, presentation, concept, service and atmosphere all make up for that. My opinion on ordering from my smartphone doesn't change the fact that this place is a gift. Both times I've come in, I've been solo, and seated at the chef's table. Watching the staff do their job is really cool. I am always so thankful for a restaurant that takes pride in well rounded quality. Truly such an awesome spot, and not a commonality in this country to find truly authentic and satisfying Italian food, coming from someone who has been able to travel throughout Italy. Not what we expected when a friend raved about it, with a picnic table out front, and VERY casual small interior. My sister wanted to leave and I made her stay. Was she ever glad she did! Andrew greeted us and was so helpful figuring out the ordering (we're 70's/80's) and recommending items. We enjoyed the Suppli, which was new to us. What a great new spot! Pizza is authentic, this is the real deal! Several other wonderful true Italian specialities but the pizza is king! I loved the buratta, it had a wonderful topping and enough pieces of toast to share. My husband couldn't say enough about the cannoli, house made and delicious. Very busy but worth it! Staff were nice and friendly. More of an order yourself type of guy restaurant. A staff will seat you and then you start a tab and order via QR code. We ordered a suppli (small fired tomato mozzarella ball - pictured) and a margarita pizza, lasagna, and gnocchi. All were very excellent. I loved the visual of pizza being made out in the open in the front and the open chef station in the back. Clean. Fast service. Attentive staff all around. If your plate is empty they ask if they can take it away for you. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable for how busy they were. The QR code ordering system here is by far my favorite out of all the other QR code systems. You don't pay or add tip until you're ready to close your tab so there is only one charge to your account and you're not tipping ahead of time. This place really stands out. The layout is narrow and long, but they accommodate by having a low bar top running across the wall which is great for 1-2 people dining. There are also indoor tables as well as outdoors if you like sidewalk dining. The food. The FOOD. Excellent, flavorful, high quality and something for everyone. Hubby got the Calabrian pizza (great for people who like red pizzas) and I got the Puglian (great for people who like white pizzas). The salad was light and refreshing, which we shared. Yum! I can't wait to come back and try more of what's on their menu. When we were finished eating a gentleman came over and made small talk, asked if we'd been there before, etc. He was appreciative of us coming. Maybe the owner. Very nice and welcoming. Went here tonight with a friend! I love how casual the environment is with lots of bar seating and we were seated quickly despite it being busy on a Friday night. You order online to your table and it comes out as it's prepared, so your dish is always fresh, and you can order more as you go easily. We opted to share a margarita pizza, and the rigatoni pasta. Both were fantastic. I got the Cello Spritz drink which was light and refreshing and my friend got the Aperol Spritz which was equally light and refreshing! We ended the night with the Zeppole which is comparable to a donut or beignet. Absolutely delish with a lemon curd sauce (highly recommend paying $1 for the extra sauce). I was really looking forward to trying this place when I heard about it. Being Italian I had high hopes since I haven't found any remotely good Italian restaurants since moving from Los Angeles. The place is small and felt a little cramped with how close you were to the next table. You order yourself from a QR code that is designated to your table number. This was a little annoying. Having to spend time on your phone adding your items to the cart and put in your credit card info isn't what I want to be doing when I go out for a nice dinner and am spending $160+. I want to disconnect from all that and enjoy the company I came with. I understand this saves them from having to hire additional waiters and it allows you to order any item directly which can add to a faster turn over. It also keeps you responsible for any ordering errors instead of on a waiter. It does however make you feel disconnected and me not wanting to ask the one girl at the front who's running around any questions about the dishes, etc. I was expecting a more warm authentic, Italian vibe but this is your modern age hipster place which is totally fine just not my preference. There was a line of people directly behind me which prevented me from being able to get up to refill our Kraft of water that you get yourself on the other side from where we were seated. The plate sizes are big for the small table so it filled up quickly and we had to finish and maneuver things to make room. We all loved the pizza. It tasted very fresh. I was a little disappointed with the pasta entrees. They were good but not great. The flavors were there but the pasta pearls tasted more like a grainy grit ball. Would have much preferred some type of pasta with the little neck clams. The squid ink was on grits so it felt like a very similar corn mealy vibe. I preferred the grits to the pearls but I was really missing a good pasta pairing and it left me a little unsatisfied. We would definitely come back for the pizza but I don't have the same feeling about the entrees. I was really looking forward to trying the zeppole for desert. They were in my checkout but sold out literally a few minutes before I put the order through so that was a bummer. I'm giving them 4 stars because the pizza was really good and the ambience/ordering style seems to work for the place but just isn't my personal vibe. I don't like to feel cramped or like I'm in a rushed atmosphere when I dine and I want to feel like there's someone around who can answer my questions or grab me another drink since I feel like the prices reflect that service. This is why we will try their pizza truck next time we're in the area. I think it will be more chill and I won't be in the mindset of a sit down dinner where your expectations are higher than the simplicity of a food truck. read more

I was really excited that the Pizzeria DOP food truck had opened a brick & mortar location, and Osteria DOP doesn't disappoint! The pizza is the same delicious pizza you could get at the food truck (it comes with scissors!) and they've added pastas and some appetizers to the menu. The Brussels sprouts appetizer was--and I can't emphasize this enough--the best Brussels sprouts I've ever eaten in my entire life. I'm not usually a big sprouts person, but these are crispy and flavorful and absolutely not to be missed. The ambiance was cool for a small space. They have a Chef's table where you can watch them make pizzas! There's also a small bar to sit at that faces a concrete wall; sounds kinda boring, but it's a good use of space and the food is good enough that I'd happily sit there. They stock Diet Coke in their fridge, too! It's a small space and the food is hella good, so you may have to wait. Worth it! read more

The squid ink pasta, and Rigatoni lacked flavor. Also its a serve yourself place. No table service, which would be fine if they didn't put a 15%, 20%, & 25% option for tipping. Oh dear my review has been sitting in drafts for months. That's OK because everybody else has you covered with an accurate description of the fabulous pizza & outstanding food at this joint. I did have a problem with the QR code ordering the first time I went involving having somebody else's order attached to my bill, but it was all sorted out with no problem. The food was so good and the vibe so pleasant I drug another co-eater back immediately . This place has the food and the vibe of a good Trattoria and Italy. Everybody in the kitchen knows their job and is doing it diligently. It's clear that the owner chef manager all care very much about this place and want the food and the experience to be meaningful. While it's true that this is not a white tablecloth experience with wait staff filling your water glass at nicely spaced private tables, I am happy to eat their food at a narrow counter, and order on my phone for the privilege of eating this food. read more

Legit 5 stars in Eugene I will say coming with a group larger than 2 is not really desirable, you could probably manage 4 but not more. Meatballs, umm yeah super tasty. Came out really quick for an app. Pizza choices were limited in the meat department but awesome. Not sure I'm a fan of cutting with scissors but I guess it adds to the experience? Rigatoni was perfectly cooked, Al dente and great flavor/ingredients. Watching them cook my meal across the butcher block table was awesome. Perfect spot for a date night. Super cool vibe when you walk in, was about 30 min wait for 1 and hour for 2.. ( you can usually tell how good a place is by how busy they are ) this place was not the exception. Got sat and you order via your phone, everything comes out as it's made and is super delicious. We arrived 10 minutes before opening at this small restaurant and found 18 people ahead of us on a warm Friday evening. We were lucky to get stools at the chef's table, a kitchen bar really, with a great view of the work. Ordering is entirely automated using your own cell phone with the exception of asking that breadcrumbs be omitted from our salad. The six small courses we shared were prepared as we watched. The food was flavorful and authentically represented Italy and made with fresh local ingredients just a a good Italian chef in Italy would. I was especially fond of the cannelloni filed with wonderfully prepared braised lamb, but all the dishes were excellent. Next time we will order less so that we can try the deserts. The couple sitting next to us ordered a pizza and two colorful drinks and were seated less than half an hour. The pizza looked fabulous as did the wood-fired pizza oven we saw as we left. One of the best meals I've had in a very long time. The ravioli was amazing. The gnocchi was perfectly cooked.
