That being said despite ordering from a QR code the service is fast and prompt. Both the kitchen and bar are situated in very open setting so you are able to see the chefs prepare the food in front of you. Both chefs, bartenders, and food runners work together to deliver food/beverages to guests. We went with a group of 6 and arrived 30 minutes before opening, we were the last group to be seated before the establishment hit capacity and there was still a line forming out the door. If you want to experience the full menu arriving early is a must as they were running out of dishes very fast. From the appetizers, to the entrees, and deserts everything was prepared fresh and tasted beyond amazing. We were in town for the marathon and this was the perfect food to fuel us for our run. Nothing is bad but the wall you sit at unless you are here at 4:35pm to get the chefs table. Pizza is solid but I come here for the pasta and other dishes. Never had anything bad, fast easy to order but do agree, they need a bigger place. The wall sitting thing is cramped and annoying, but food and friends and service makes up for it. read more

One of the best meals I've had in a very long time. The ravioli was amazing. The gnocchi was perfectly cooked. We also had brussel sprouts, the DOP salad, and the fava bean puree (sooooo good). This place is good but overrated. Very busy and clean, the speed in food turning to our table is good and the way ordering and serving is cool. The AC is a not enough but overall I feel the food is not the best. The pizza had hardly any anchovies. The Bucatini was very cheesy and salty, it was kinda heavy (we selected it looking for a light option) and the Burrata was on the dry side (Usually very creamy and soft). Suggestion: The crispy bread served with the Burrata has no flavor, a good alternative could be some of your pizza dough. read more

We started with the burrata appetizer, which was creamy and fresh, and I'd definitely recommend the meat taster plate (salumi) for anyone who loves a good charcuterie board. The squid ink tagliatelle was fine but a little overrated for me--I've had better elsewhere. The pizza, on the other hand, was absolutely delicious, though a bit on the oily side. A beautiful meal, and a very hip space. We were seated at the Chef's Table, so we got a front seat to the action. Mostly that's fun, but that does mean that while eating dessert I got a big noseful if pork ragu being plated. Depends on your personal pref. To the food- perfect Neapolitan pizza, charred and chewy with simple toppings of tomato and mozz. The fried sage was a nice touch. We also had the chicory salad, which had a surprisingly bomb anchovy dressing. I mopped it up with my crusts. I love amaro, and they had a nice selection, so I tried two. The Amaro Delle Sirene ", from Washington DC of all places, was fascinating, kinda port-like and weird. My affogato for dessert was perfection, as was Mo's panna cotta. All I can say is WOW. In town for business and had a fantastic experience there with my colleagues. Eugene is very lucky to have a place like this cause there's not many in the country. A Naples trained Pizzaiolo. We ordered a wide variety of dishes, including salad DOP, Calabrian Pizza, gnocchi, Bucatini, cannolis, suppli, meatballs and a unique dish of fried olives, all of which were outstanding. Holy smokes! This place hit the spot on a Thursday evening. We were in town to visit my son and tour UO the following day and everyone was starving. We lucked out and managed to sit at the wall bar, 5 in a row. The staff were very accommodating considering how busy it was. We did things family style which was a bit tough considering the seating arrangements, but thankfully, we weren't too disruptive to the other diners...I hope! Recommend the Puglian and Tre Carne pizzas, Ravioli and Bucatini, AND the deep-fried and breaded Macaroni Carbonara. The other thing I really appreciated was having carafes of water and a filling station close at hand. This was my first time coming to there brink and mortar area, they also have a food truck around town, both are fantastic. They have the iconic DOP white pizza oven in the middle of the restaurant. The service was great they were very helpful, even one of the servers came out and sat down right next to us and showed us his favorite items on the menu. They have inside and outside seating. Our return visit to ODP went very well. Sitting at the chef's table was fun and the young man making salads/apps was very friendly in sharing about the food he prepared. This restaurant is so good that I had to go two days in a row because I couldn't get their food out of my head. The restaurant doesn't feel like anywhere else in town. One of my favorite spots to sit is at the food preparation counter. Watching the chefs work adds another layer of appreciation to the meal, making the experience even more immersive. The speed at which the food comes out is remarkable. On my second visit, I was able to enjoy a full three-course meal with a cocktail and still be in and out in under 45 minutes. The quick service doesn't compromise the quality one bit--everything I've ordered has been fantastic. The quality of the ingredients really shines through in every dish. There's a noticeable attention to detail that adds depth and complexity to the flavors, something we don't see often enough. We decided last minute try Osteria DOP and we're glad we did, this was a great little spot to eat!! We were greeted by a friendly host and seated right away. The seating is not necessarily traditional but we didn't mind at all and I think some reviewers need to understand that not all restaurants are going to have tables set up how you like or for big parties but that does not mean it deserves a lower rating. Been wanting to try this forever and it did not disappoint! We got the DOP salad, bianca pizza add sausage, and the rigatoni. The pizza was outstanding and so was the pasta. Came by Osteria DOP to have some pasta pre-half marathon and apparently 100 other people had the same idea since there was an enormous line by the time I got there at 5pm when they opened. Restaurant is cute inside and food is good! It's kind of a mix between fast casual and a sit down restaurant since you order and pay through a QR code, so there's no real interaction with the staff there. The best thing we ordered was the naturale which was basically just their pizza dough. It had such a great chew and texture to it. We also got the suppli, rigatoni, and paccheri. I found the paccheri to be too fishy for me but my partner liked it! I enjoyed the rigatoni but I'm a total sucker for burrata. Suppli was good too although note it is one piece per order! read more

My wife and I were among the first to enter when they opened so we were able to sit at the "chefs" table which overlooks the kitchen, the part that prepares pastas, salads, apps, and desserts. This was our second time. We love sitting here and watching the chefs work their magic. I'm not very familiar with the ordering process as it had been a while since we ate here. After about 20 min. we checked on our order and discovered we needed a little help getting our order started, no big deal. A couple drinks, salad, appetizer and a pizza. Everything was on the way, the pizza took a while but that gave us time to eat our app. and salad. We were having a relaxing leisure dinner and watching the show. We ordered another glass of wine and the cacio e pepe with bucatini pasta as we were sharing all our dishes. Very salty, would not recommend. As we started eating our pasta dish a waitress or hostess maybe approached us and said "we have a 90 minute time limit, if you're going to order dessert do it now so you can finish and leave". Until that moment we had a good time. The thing is there were empty tables and empty seats right next to us and nobody waiting for our seat. We thought it was pretty rude. Maybe the owner should post a sign that says "90 minute time limit". So for that I give 3 stars. read more

Staff is friendly and keep an impressive flow. My husband and I shared the gnocchi with oxtail, wide egg noodles with duck, woodfired pizza with buffalo mozzarella and fresh basil, and the seared brussels sprouts (amazing crispy texture!). Everything was so incredibly flavorful, we were very tempted to lick the plates but restrained ourselves. I am a dedicated home chef, so I greatly admire when a place does over-the-top amazing homemade dishes with fresh, local ingredients---and I can just relax and be served for a change! Glad we got there early we were the 4th family in line but still were able to sit at the chef's table. Angela was phenomenal and walked us through the evening. I am a snob for cacio e peppe and this one is top 3...including international travel....I didn't mind the ordering on my phone and it allowed me to pace the meal as I pleased. The ambiance of the restaurant is fantastic. Really cool atmosphere. Seats overlooking the kitchen add to the experience. But, of course, this is not why you're reading the reviews. The food is fantastic and I really enjoyed my meal. Rigatoni was top notch. Burrata was amazing. The Bosco pizza with mushrooms was among the best pizzas I've had, and as a whole this restaurant serves as the favorite of our Washington-Oregon trip! Highly recommend, keep in mind though--you will have to wait. Come at least an hour before you plan on dining. Do not let this detract from the experience though, it's an amazing place to eat some of the best Italian food in the state. read more

We ordered a lot as it was our first time. We Ordered the fried mac n cheese wedges, good but salty, Also ordered the burrata which was very good. Next were the meatballs. They were very VERY GOOD. Moist, flavorful and the marinara sauce was outstanding. Golf ball size and at least 5 of them. Great to share. We ordered Rigatoni, Gnocchi (would order again), Bucatini, and a seasonal pizza with squash. All were good. We found that all the pastas were slightly undercooked and chewy (not al dente') and all were salty. When told to the head chef his reaction was not what I expected. Kind of like ok or good and then he turned around moved on. Didn't really seem to want to hear us or even care. For dessert We had the donut balls which were light and fresh and were served with a lemon curd and powdered sugar. Ordering at the chefs table was fun because you do it on your phone. Be prepared as dishes come out quickly. Inside tip- never order it all at once or you will be overloaded with dishes. We went in order starting with the appetizers, main course and then half way through we ordered the Neapolitan style pizza. Perfect timing.
