Sicilian Octopus
Josie T.

I have wanted to try this place, what a hidden gem! The bread and pesto kind of set the standard of what would follow. I ordered the starter Sicilian Octopus. It was delicious! The portion is BIG! The service is excellent!! I like the ambiance too! Would love to come back again to try the other dishes!

I wanted to like this spot since this area is not full of dining options. We had reservations on a Tuesday evening after work. We walked in to empty restaurant at 6:00pm one other table was finishing. We ordered 2 entrees including my favorite veal parm and pasta , and also the short rib pasta with papperadelle pasta. They started out with bread and a sun roasted tomato dipping oil which was really good a great balance of sweet and savory. The bread and drinks got to the table and in less than five minutes both entrees came out. It was alarmingly fast. The veal breadcrumbs were seasoned well but fried so hard it was tough and rubbery. It was almost precooked and finished off. The pasta was fine and sauce was good. The short rib ragu was much tastier with large chunks of beef mixed with pasta. We did opt for dessert to go they have a good selection of in house made desserts. Wasn't impressed with the quality of the entrees and the speed of arrival to the table was what gives me pause especially for a Tuesday night empty restaurant. I could maybe understand on a busy Friday or Saturday but definitely not on Tuesday. The meal was subpar but the service was great. The waitress was from the area and engaged in conversation and was very attentive. The restaurant itself has good bones with a full service bar and separate dining area. Standard look and feel of an Italian restaurant. 98.77 all in for 2 entrees and 2 desserts fairly standard pricing these days. Probably a little on the higher side for the location.

Eggplant parmigiana

Made a reservation and tried this restaurant for the first time and it did not disappoint. The waitress was very nice and welcoming. Got the eggplant parmigiana and was absolutely delicious. Thin sliced, crispy eggplant over spaghetti. Husband got the pan seared salmon that came out perfectly cooked. Service was quick! Will return again.

A very nice fit out us on the chili Sunday night. They were winding down , but they were still about thirty guests in the dining room The bar was repurposed and looks like it was from the 30s. Looks like a great spot for Friday night happy hout. I really like the chefs idea., not your traditional South Jersey Italian

Went in here for a quick lunch and ended up ordering the whole menu, it looked all to good not to try! the food was amazing, every single thing we orderd! I'm so glad to have a restaurant like this is town. The menu size was perfect, pricing to portions was perfect you get a good amount of food! I will post some pictures of some of the thing we eat! Can't wait to try the dinner menu.

What a hidden gem! We went here as a party of 4 and have never felt so welcome! We ordered several appetizers and each ordered a different dish. The owner made it a point to visit each table to welcome each party and even brought us limoncello at the end of our meal! I ordered the beet salad to start (large enough to share!) and tortelloni which I highly recommend. I am vegetarian and there were several options for me to choose from from for both appetizers and entrees. So glad to have such a great spot on this side of the bridge- we can't wait to go back!

Beet salad with pistachios, grapefruit sections, and goat cheese, with a delicious pesto dressing.

This place is a local gem, with a chef who creates the best Italian food outside of Rome. Don't miss it!

I came back and discovered the creative flair of Gabby and Noah collaborated to satisfy anyone! They added "brisket" to the menu. Yes, .... I know, I hear ya; "brisket in Jersey?" Yup, damn right! I traveled all over, originally from Ky but spent many a day delighting in Texas BBQ (my great friend, Ercole Chila, miss you to the moon and back! But Noah in Gibbstown, NJ! Collaboration with Gabbs, chief chef in the kitchen creating a brisket sandwich it this review is not about that sandwich, it's about the "HOLY COW"! This sandwich was amazing with the burger and addition of the brisket. I'm not a big fan of putting slaw on a sandwich but I know a lot of people are, However I deleted it! Anyway, I added tots instead of fries and my dipping sauce was the blooming onion dip sauce instead of ketchup. I also asked for the BBQ sauce on the side so I could gauge how much I wanted. The caramelized onions! I opted out of the sauce because I'm not a big fan of horsey sauce but you do you! Couples great with a cold beer (Miller Light for me and Jameson shot). My bartender Katie was the best "jahn" around, never missed a beat to ensure my beverages were filled and cold! If your in South Jersey and you want some comfort food to knock your socks off so far in the dirt that you'll never be able to dig them up, come fill your belly's at Wilson's! It's a quaint plaza type hometown bar that adores and caters to local sports. Thursdays and Mondays pool night. Darts if you're willing. Sundays and Wednesdays $2 off wings. Daily drink specials happy hour $3 a beer or $13 buckets (5 beers). Noah! Gabby! Big respect, probably best sandwich I e had in a long time. Order the burger medium but skip well done, the brisket makes up for it. I love this bar! South Jersey Icon!

Tried the short rib poutine, chicken and waffles, some wild seasonal grilled cheese(definitely miss that place in collingswood)... well last night I finally tried the wood fired pizza. I'm a Delco native so I thought I had made a mistake getting a roast pork anything on this side of the river, but my mistake was waiting this long to try it. No shortage of sports on like 18 big tee-vees. Sat in the heated tent outside cause the place is slammed all the time. Definitely get on the wait list before you go. Once you have a table they take great care of you and with the quickness, though. Already can't wait to try the pizzas I didn't land on, this trip.

We topped it off with their green goddess salad, I've also had the winter Waldorf salad, which is equally great. The perogies were unremarkable, however and a bit soggy. I've also always had great service here, even when busy they made sure to check in on our table. Cinder bar has a very busy happy hour on most weekdays, very rarely there is a wait however! There's bar and indoor seating, as well as a covered outdoor area.
