We decided to head out for a bite to eat on Tuesday night. We opted to try a friend suggestion for a local establishment that turned out to be a really good decision. The server, Natale, was extremely nice and helpful with suggestions. We started out getting cocktails which were fantastic. We orders the blueberry lemon drop and apple pie martinis. Both were awesome in their own right. The blueberry lemon drop was more on the sweet side where as the apple pie tasted like an apple pie and made me feel part of the fall season coming upon us. We then ordered the crab filled quesadilla and the roast pork sandwich with au jus and fries. Each were delicious. The pork was done in house and the crab quesadilla was beyond tasty. This was enough to fill us for the evening. We will be back to try other tasty items on the menu. Great bar with great food and great staff. Bar is updated and modern. Variety of beers to choose from. Something for everyone's taste. The food is excellent. I was very impressed with the pork Italiano sandwich. Pork was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Also the wings were delicious. We ordered them hot and they had great flavor with a nice kick to them. The bartender,Madison, was super friendly and knowledgeable. She made great beer suggestions to pair with our food. We had a great time watching the Phillies. Was on my way down to Maryland and had seen a post about top wing places in NJ. Wasn't far out of my way so I figured let's try it. The post was a little outdated since the place had changed names and I was a little worried my wing trip was for not. It was a Thursday afternoon so the place was pretty empty except a few locals. Ordered my wings and they came out quick and were excellent. Nice crispy wings with a nice hot sauce. I had ordered 20 and had I not had to drive a few hours still would have finished them instead of boxing what was left. They have a nice selection of beers on tap and I'll agree with the prior Post the bartender is a plus for the eyes. I will be back with some friends again for more wings in the future read more

We visited recently with a local flavor deal. It was a Sunday during Covid. Outside patio is cute & on this particular Sunday it was not crowded. Food was pretty good but over-priced. We ordered wings, fries, a chicken wrap & a few drinks. Typical bar food. Service was great although the server was not wearing a mask. They have daily specials. We are very happy that Local is back after their hiatus due to fire. The new bar and restaurant is very similar to before, but it's nice and clean and fresh. Menu is very similar except they added my most favorite thing, mussels, three ways, and reasonably priced. Add a basket of fries and you have a hearty meal. My husband enjoyed his roast pork sandwich. Only one complaint: in a town that is politically divided straight down the middle, having a politically-based tv network on is a bad idea. It's anyone's right to have it at their establishment, but it's just not good for business. Turn that off and it's 5 stars. read more

I read reviews that Local was known for their wings and Yelpers were spot on with that. We had 10 wings - honey hot style. They were so good - Needed no dipping sauce but dipped some in the blue cheese that came with it. Tasty, meaty wings cooked to perfection! We enjoyed the wedge salad and chicken quesadillas. Specials on drinks (on a Friday night! Wow!) were $5.00 strawberry or mango margaritas. I had strawberry and it was refreshing and super delicious! Corona bottles were cold, came with a lime and only $2.50! To top off our great food were the owners who were very friendly and attentive around their busy restaurant. This bar was good before the new owners came and changed everything. This is a bar set in a small town that is serving craft type beers for people with a nascar pallet. The owner seems to run the place like he has never interacted with humans and treats staff and customers alike with disrespect and all around rudeness. The food is seriously overpriced and on par with the worst pizza place you can think of. Bland overpriced food with an angry owner and expensive drinks is the perfect storm for a failing business that continues to cut corners. I do not recommend this place to anyone anymore. It was a little strange how nestled into a strip of houses this bar was. There was a house next door to the bar and you could practically see into their kitchen from the back patio. I was pleasantly surprised how friendly everyone was who worked here (though, admittedly, I was there for the birthday party of a former employee). People were raving about the wings. Local Corner Bar has a nice sized bar seats 30, also has a small ding room and a back deck - nice in the warmer months. I came for the wings voted repeatedly too 3 in South Jersey. I ordered them dry sauce in the side - because I was warned by the very pretty bartender that the Hot sauce was really hot. I like hot and the sauce was great - Go for it. The beer on tap is the freshest around and they also have great specials through out the week. The chef Freddy makes awesome loaded fries or loaded nachos both offered with beef or chicken.... Local is truly a local bar. But don't let that fool you. Yes it's got the local bar fare; wings, steaks, sandwiches, etc... But the real hidden gem here is their legit nachos. Better than any Mexican restaurant, they are loaded with cheese, guacamole and lots of other goodies. Moreover they fry their own chips sealing the authenticity.
