It turns out it may be a double entendre as it is Dr Moody's optometry one stop shop. Located on the first floor of the Saleforce Tower in the heart of Downtown Indy, Moody Eyes is an affordable destination for purchasing glasses with lots of great options to choose from. We've been coming here for many years now and much prefer it to Lens Crafters and the other pricey alternatives. Dr Moody himself is such a kind man with a great sense of humor and I dread the day he retires. I don't want to go anywhere else! His wife, Connie, also works with him and together they make a great team! It's easy to schedule an appointment online. Highly recommend it!

After looking at some frames i was told that with my "you have amazing vision insurance", I would still be required to pay nearly $100 for just a pair of single prescrition glasses. I then asked for a cheaper alternative and was told that i wouldnt be saving much money by doing so. I was then reasured how good my insurance was and how good of a deal I was getting. After several minutes of being intimidated by who I assume is Mrs. Moody, I then calmly explained how I normally do not pay for frames at the place I had previously gone. She responded with a look and tone that I can only describe as "unnecessary" and asked "well why didn't you go there then'? She was not nice, she absolutely meant it to be rude. I then said that I would not be getting glasses today and that i just want to pay for my visit. "Ten Dollars" are the only words she says next and I quietly handed her my payment, asked for my prescription to which she says "well we aren't going to give you measurements", which i replied with silence. I then proceeded to leave while promising never to return. I have never been treated so poorly by someone at a doctors office. I want to believe that I took things out of context or the wrong way but body language and tone said everything. As if they are angry because I can not afford their overpriced Luxottica frames... Also I was able to get an appointment fairly quick. This location is for training medical students (future eye doctors). I appreciate how thorough the eye check up is and that you see a student and a doctor. I will caution that the appointment can take anywhere from 1 hour-2 hours. I wasn't prepared for that beforehand. Also they have a large option for glasses and contact lenses. I have a follow up appointment and I look forward to going to se them again.

I really didn't need glasses but wanted them for college to sharpen edges when I look at the overhead for a far. I wanted these cute Kate spade frames so I asked how much . The girl that help me said with everything included including visit it would be $350 up front and if insurance paid anything they would refund me what I over paid.I knew the frames were a bit price so I agreed and paid 350 right there. The bill came saying I owed $39 dollars- which isnt much but as I look at the bill I see the the frames cost 254 the lens cost $ 100 and I only needed one eye delt with it was even very low at -25...which like i said i really didnt need glasses they added all sorts of things to the lenses without asking anything and then it said my appointment was $191 because it was comprehensive. I was litterly with the eye dr. for 10 min and he said I have about perfect eyesight. Well, my insurance did pay some. So all together it came to $541. I paid the 350 plus the $39 I guess my insurance didnt pick up. What a sham. Beware of this place . They also dont contact you if you need to pay what's left even though I have called multiple times during office hours without a call back. So I got a late fee. I have to do it over the phone because I am in nursing school and have zero time to make that trip. Save yourself money and a headache. They are not worth your time

All of my contacts with the front office have reflected that - including on the phone. That's refreshing; we all know what a spectacle it can be to call a doctor, with phone trees and long holds and no appointments open for months. Dr. Clay Jones is my doctor there. I don't believe I've ever seen the others. Apparently he's good, as I can now see better (when I wear my glasses.) He remembered me from last year, and we had a pleasant, light conversation. Always nice not to feel invisible. The site is okay. It's within view of downtown. The medical office building is connected to the hospital, and while it's nothing special at first glance, upon closer inspection, there are decent food and coffee spots inside the hospital (on the ground floor.) The parking garage costs a few dollars. Since cash use is fading, I've noticed they now accept credit cards. A bright person will bring sunglasses for their trip home after the dilating eyedrops. And keep in mind, you clearly shouldn't drive right after the appointment. If you must drive yourself, factor in time to lazily wander the hospital afterwards. Strolling through the gift shops and cafes might make it less dull. From my perspective, Abrams Eye Care operates with an aura of efficiency and hospitality. I'd rate them high on the charts.

Started by a longtime LensCrafters executive who believed the process of buying eyeglasses should be simpler, more affordable and fun, EyeQuity focuses on affordable, one-price eyewear options without the usual add-ons and upgrades. As a loyal customer of the optometrist associated with the Sears in Castleton Square, I've struggled with what I would perceive to be a rather low quality of eyeglasses they consistently produce - love the doctor, hate the product. I'd wheeled by EyeQuity on several occasions, their attractive display always catching my eye and their selection of around 20 different brands and hundreds of different frames always giving me a reason to stop and check 'em out. The staff has always been super friendly and patient as I've stopped several times and tried on many frames - never committing to a sale. However, each time I went away I became more impressed with their selection and even more impressed with their patience and customer service. As my insurance only authorizes frames every other year and my prescription changed this year, I found myself itching to buy a new pair of glasses. The one-year-old Sears pair had coating that was fading and generally was looking really beat up. As usual, while I liked the style, they'd sold me a garbage pair of glasses. They are not eye doctors. They don't offer exams. They can refer you to a doctor, but EyeQuity focuses on selling complete eyewear packages at all-for-one pricing. By "all-for-one," I mean that the extras that often cost you lots of extra cash at most other eyewear places are actually included in the price at EyeQuity. For example, at regular pricing a pair of single-vision lenses with anti-reflection will run you $139 including lens and any of their frames. The HD Progressive Bifocal package is $229. Both packages feature polycarbonate thin and light lenses with UV protection and Anti Reflection treatment. They also have packages for "ComputerComfort" and "MobileTech" glasses that are specially adapted to work for those who spend a lot of time on the computer and/or on a mobile phone. They can also take your frame and put a new lens into it. Of course, they also offer prescription sunglass and Transition options. I was attending a movie screening this weekend at the mall. Yeah, Black Friday weekend. Ugh. The good news was that EyeQuity was having a sale with a complete pair of single-vision glasses on sale for $99 and, if I recall, the bifocal package was $199. As I wheeled by, I spied a frame I absolute loved and stopped and tried a few out. After having passed by them so many times, I committed this time. I happened to have my new prescription with me - that made it super easy, though they didn't have the appropriate lens in stock (most can be made in 30 minutes) and said with the long holiday weekend that it would likely be Wednesday. As that's still half the time of Sears and most other places, I committed. Another key point with EyeQuity is that they generally only deal with cash, health savings accounts or flexible savings accounts. They are usually an out-of-network provider for insurances and do not file insurance (but are happy to provide you with documentation to help with reimbursement). I used my health savings account and they provided me with a document so that I could prove it was a healthcare purchase if needed. Truthfully, this pair of glasses was less expensive than my last pair paid for using insurance. So, it was easily worth it. I was a touch concerned when I hadn't heard from them on Wednesday, though I had another obligation at the mall that night and just showed up. As I showed up, my glasses were just getting finished up. The same employee was working, I believe she's in management, and she requested 15 minutes to finish up. I grabbed a quick bite to eat, returned and they were ready as promised. They are a delight. So, I admire business practices that allow for a customer to truly browse and wait until the time is right. I never felt pressured and often left with clean glasses. They've been consistently friendly and helpful. When I was finally ready to purchase, the process was quick and easy and stress free while the product was delivered in top condition on the day promised. EyeQuity offers a 30-day window that you can return the glasses and a one-year warranty from date of purchase. If you're uninsured or underinsured or simply want good quality glasses at a good price with good service to match, EyeQuity definitely delivers.

Lucky for me this vision center was not only close but also in my insurance network! It was a greate experience. Quick in and quick out (as far as eye appointments go). Dr. Barhart was a so friendly! She took me from room to room and let me know exactly what I needed to do. I had my eye exam and also got fitted for contacts. After that Stephanie helped me find the perfect pair of glasses. We tried A LOT but it was necessary and she was so great at telling me what looked good and what didn't. I have already recommended Dr. Barnhart to people I know who live in the area! I was offered financing for my LASIK surgery through Greenberg LASIK using Alphaeon Credit. I…read moresigned all documents in the office and was told I had two years to pay the balance interest-free, and that interest would begin only after those two years if a balance remained. What I was not told was that if the balance was not paid in full within two years, I would be charged all of the back interest from the previous two years. For example, my two-year promotional period ended in December 2026. At that time, I had a remaining balance of about $600 and believed I was nearly finished paying it off. I assumed I would only be responsible for one month of interest going forward. However, when I attempted to make a payment one month after the two-year deadline, my balance had jumped to approximately $2,700 due to retroactive interest charges. I contacted the credit card company and asked if they could offer any grace or allow me to pay the December balance if they would waive the retroactive interest. I was told there was nothing they could do. This financing was extremely misleading. After working responsibly for two years to pay this off, I am now facing a balance I cannot afford because critical details were not clearly explained. This feels like very poor and deceptive business practice.

I also got a consultation with LasikPlus, but ultimately went with Greenberg because: (1) Their customer service and staff are top notch. It's cool that almost everyone in the office has personally gotten Lasik done, so they're very familiar with the process. They're fast, kind, and super willing to answer questions. They even endorsed PriceVision as a good second option place! So I felt they're honest and trustworthy. (2) It is clear that making patients comfortable is a priority for them. They provide Valium before the procedure (LasikPlus does not), give you stress balls during the procedure (small thing but thoughtful), and give you very useful sleeping goggles in addition to sunglasses (LasikPlus was only giving sunglasses to sleep in too). It's scary to have your vision worked on, so the thoughtfulness in patient care was reassuring. (3) They were the significantly cheaper than other places in town. They're also willing to price match. It's an expensive procedure if your vision is pretty bad -- so this is definitely a major point. Technology and skill wise, I think any major Lasik place in Indy will probably do a great job. I almost went with LasikPlus because of their national lifetime guarantee (which is a huge plus if you don't plan on living in Indianapolis forever). But Greenberg still gives a lifetime guarantee. Only negative I will say is when you sign up for a consultation, the last room is signing up for an appt and paying up front. If you're truly just going to see if you qualify and what it'll cost, this may feel a little pushy. Just remember, you don't *have* to schedule that day & definitely don't need to pay that day.
