THIMBS WAY DOWN. DO NOT STOP. They have a sign outside that says, " ARCH ANALYSIS". They must be talking about hiking because there was no foot arch analysis to be found.. They didn't have a single competent employee- ANYWHERE. The "manager" is just a warm body with a horrible attitude, who has absolutely no clue with customer service is. The store is nasty messy and disgusting, too. Their sidewalk sales are full of horribly dirty, nasty and old shoes, that are priced ridiculously!!! my daughter found an old pair of boots with scuffs on the bottom but a good label and they said they were $147 ON SALE???? Dominick and Preston helped me out a lot! I asked them to try on so many sizes of the shoes I wanted and they kept checking on me even though they were busy. They were polite and knowledgeable. Large variety of shoes here for a cheaper price than sold online. Thanks again for your help. The only negative thing I would say is that the store was in kind of a weird area/there was bad traffic getting there. But if you have enough time in your day and want to come try on the shoes before you buy them then I would stop by. read more

I was in the store to pick up some shoes for Work this morning. The salesman was friendly and knowledgeable. But upon leaving, I had one of the three goddesses gods that they think they are give me an attitude of. I'm not here to help you you go to the next cashier and then when I was asked who helped me I was looking down at the pictures are their associates in the same twit pops off there's pictures there so you can see who it was. If they're going to treat you like idiots I suggest you take your 2 feet and walk elsewhere that respects you and your money. They're not the only shoe place in town or online. Hi I ordered 2 pairs of boots on 11/08/2025 and on 11/11 shipping was in process and I was given a tracking number. Since then only the label was created, the boots were never shipped and after 3 emails I sent, they say they are checking with shipping dept. They have not responded to the last 2 emails and still have all the money and the boots that I am waiting for are on the website in my size still. I found out that Modern Shoe is a sister company, so I sent them a email with no response. After 2 weeks not a company you want to do business with. Thanks for your time Jeff read more

Here to leave great feedback on the great employees here at WJ ossine! I have a few people I would like to shout out 1. Brennen & Brandon aka B&B both provided excellent customer service. They both went above and beyond to make sure my choice of work boots was going to work for me, Brennen helped me narrow down my choice to the Ariat patriot fighters. And Brandon sold me on some $80 insoles that he recommended from his own use after scanning my feet making sure I left the store with healthy feet. These two fine young men exceeded expectations for customer service for their age. Both were extremely professional and great shoe salesmen 2. Bought Some boots here. I'm a size 11, I tried on some 11 boots and those was too big, tired a 10.5 and they fit better but not super snug on my feet then I tried a 10 which is shocking for me cause I don't wear a 10 and that was way too tight. So I decided on the 10.5 tried them out the next day and they broke in and now they are way too big. mind you I'm working so the boots are in my feet but they are not dirty what so ever. So I go try to exchange them and they said they wont cause they are on my feet I understand they are now not new and I tired them on before I left the store, but I didn't expect the shoes to get worn in like this and now I have boots that don't fit me. If you come in just before close, of course you're gonna feel rushed! You came in before close! You're the asshole coming in when the store is closing for the night and the employees are tired and wanna go home! Let them close on time so they can go home on time! If you we're on a time crunch to get a pair of running shoes, you should have come in earlier in the day. I have never been in a shoe store like this in Utah. It took me back to my youth where they had tons of high quality shoes, staff that actually helped you size and fit shoes and they had a broad selection of sizes available. I need an 11 W and no problem- several to try on. Another gentleman came in and said he needed a size 16. No one batted an eyelash. They went in back and got him some shoes to try. My husband wears a 14 and I now know there is a place he can be fitted and try on athletic shoes. read more

The owner and their management staff are underqualified to deliver any satisfactory customer service. It appears that they are more worried about being right about some misunderstanding rather than providing the customer with a good experience. I have experienced several situations that I've overlooked about this store and its leadership, where I draw the line is the appearance of the staff making assumptions because of a person's dress appearance or how they look. On several occasions, I have gone to this location dressed in business casual clothes since I work in a professional environment and was greeted within 5 or more minutes, on other occasions I went in dressed in my motorcycle riding gear, and I was not only greeted within seconds of entering the store, but I was greeted by more than one employee. In all fairness, if this happened once or even twice when I was in my riding gear I would not even bother with commenting. However, it happened every time I went into the store in my riding gear. During the last situation, I told an employee, that it appears they are passing some type of judgment or stereotype at least on myself, and I could not imagine, I am the only person that feels this way when they come into the store. Beyond this, the last two times that I went into this store to receive this type of treatment both times they did not have my size or the shoes that I was looking for and that I have purchased from them in the past. In our society today, this reaction is unacceptable from anyone and any business. Hopefully, the owner and their management will take notes to improve with their customer service and themselves. As for me, I will not be back, and every chance that I have I will let my friends and family know what I think about this establishment. read more

The customer service is awful. I came in just before closing. I didn't know when they closed. I was set to drop $127 dollars on a pair of running shoes. But the guy who was helping me made sure I knew they were closing and showed no interest in helping me. Then the manager came up to me and said if I knew what I wanted that I check out now or come back some other time. Are you kidding me? Appalling. I would think a shoes business would understand that and order more of those "popular" sizes. So I just got on Amazon and bought them that way. Wow!!! Walked into the store with my wife looking for her some Birkenstock's. The pair they had did not match. Looking for help was hard to find. We were the only ones there. I approached the girl at the counter but was told she was the cashier, she was just sitting there not even checking anyone out. The only other employee brought out a pair of shoes to try on and left. The people here could care less if they make a sell or not. So the lesson learned here is to go find what size doesn't fit or the style that works for you then go home and order it on online. I bought a pair of work boots here a week ago. Tried on the right boot and everything was good. The left one is not good. The stitching created a bump, which rubs my ankle, causing pain. Let me start this review off by first saying this place and the owners are a complete sham and not worth your time. They pretend that they do not understand what you are saying when in reality they do. You can find prices cheaper at the Nike outlet in West Jordan, Foot Locker, and online retail outlets. Alright now for my review. I had purchased a pair of Air Max's recently. Prior to purchasing the shoes I had noticed that it seemed to be worn (the bottoms were dirty). They said that it was the only pair available; so I purchased them. The owner also told me that if I had any problems with the shoes that I could return them. He also noted that the any return would not be a problem even with the bottom of the shoes being dirty. Well after purchasing the shoes I had found the exact pair at the Nike outlet for half the price. It was the following day so I figured returning these should not be a problem. When I went in and requested a refund the owner got all hot headed and asked me if I was trying to cheat him. He said that the shoes had been worn and would not give me a refund. I started to argue with him and because there were some customers that started to take notice he became conscience of this and relented. Not before calling me a derogatory name. Luckily I did get my full refund and though it took a good 15 minutes of arguing I am glad I did it. Avoid this place like the plague. The owners are racists and bigots. You can find actual customer service at other outlets and do not have to deal with the owner's rudeness and the tool, that is his son. If I could give -5 stars I would. I got me a pair of Skecher runners. I tried them on a treadmill for 20 minutes and they sucked. The front tote box would cave inwards over my toes and would click. With receipt in hand I took them back. Some dude name Dave said that they were too warn to return and that's just the way that shoe is. No refund. So paid $50 doit a pair of crap shoes and after 20 minutes on a treadmill, they're too run down for resale. Don't shop this store. Use anyone else. read more

My husband went in for some walking shoes. He has a health issue that his feet will swell a bit I mean a bit. I not talking a serious bloat issue here. He tried on the shoes and walked around the store for 15 to 20 minutes while shopping and looking at other products. They have a hard cement covered surface. Not a carpet surface. After wearing them for 15 to 20 minutes he purchased them. The next day we put them on to wear them and his feet were a bit swollen that day. He walked around the carpeted house for about 10 minutes before he decided that they pinched his pinky toe and decided not to wear them. The following day he put them on to see how they felt and walked around again on the carpet and decided they were just not comfortable enough to keep for the high price. I had read some reviews about this store and wanted to verify what I had read. So on the bottom of the insert's a put a dot with a marker. The only way you would see it is if you knew to pull the insert out flip it over and look for the tiny black dot. We took them back and the owner said they were not new that they had been walked in outside. I know for a fact they had NOT been walked in outside and said to the owner "remember he walked and shopped in your store for 15 to 20 minutes before he purchased them"? The owner admitted he had remembered but still refused to take them back as NEW. He gave my husband a store credit for 80% of the value because he said he now had to discount them due to their condition of being "used" not new!!! 2 weeks later we went in to use the store credit. My husband said to me "look these look like the exact same shoes I bought and he is selling them as NEW". I took out the inserts flipped them over and sure enough there was the tiny black dot. The owners are dishonest liars! While waiting for my husband to use is 80% refund I was talking to ossine shoe sales representative that was there. He was very frank and told me that the owners being from China, had a connection to purchase seconds directly from the China factory that makes Jordon Brand shoes and products and that was why he could give such a good price on them, (actually not any cheaper than Ross or Macy's on sale, Ross and Macy's DO NOT sell seconds!!!!!) This sales representative told me that the owners get many complaints on the Jordon Brand yes including ALL Air Jordan products. *****Be VERY aware if you are buying ANY "Jordan Brand shoes or clothing" there is a 99.999% chance you are buying a "reject", "irregular" AKA "a second". They may have a decent price for Jordon products but you wont be getting a top quality product. No reputable shoe store will carry Jordon rejects / seconds that dont pass inspections, but Ossine WILL! And they do NOT tell you they failed quality control inspections and are seconds. The owners are very deceitful! Besides having very poor customer service... The owners Lie and Cheat their customers out of money. They sell "irregulars and seconds" as top quality products. They lie and sell what they determine to be "used" shoes as NEW after refunding only %80 of the value because they cannot sell them as New any longer, but they DO!!!! They sell "used" shoes as new for FULL price. They deceive and Con customers into buying top quality products when they KNOW they are selling seconds and rejects. They use their lack of quality English speaking skills as a way to be rude and rip off customers. If you read the reviews, you will see that they pay their employees to write positive reviews to boost their ratings and to off set the negative reviews. The owners are unprofessional, rude, dishonest liars! You can get the same prices at Ross and Macy's with a guaranteed return policy and 100% of your money back. This is the best place to buy athletic shoes in the Salt Lake Valley. They have a HUGE selection, and the service people are the best. If you're lucky enough to have the owner help you, he will make sure you walk away in a comfortable pair of high quality shoes. To top it off he usually will give you a good discount without having to haggle. DO NOT go to a box store to buy your shoes. You get a much higher quality here. It's true that they are a little more expensive, but the quality is significantly better. This place is unbelievable. Prices are decent.. until you go to the register and pay for it. No help around.. the help that you get doesn't really help. It will just annoys you. There were kids' shoes on the table that was marked sale. The one that we picked didn't have a price so we asked the sales guy how much is cost, is it the same as the other one sitting on the same table only it's a different color. He said yes. So we asked for the size we needed. He came out with the box marked with the regular price. Thinking they will give us the discount when we go pay for it. We went ahead and bought the shoes. This cashier kid was charging us for the full price. Told him it was on sale, so he went to the sale table where we got it from and came back and said it ddnt have a tag on it. No effort to ask, nothing! Getting irritated, we just agreed to pay full price which was $20 more than it should be. This cashier guy is not the sharpest tool in the shed at all. At all! He asked if we need a sack, yes we do, we bought 2 pairs of shoes. So he said I will try to squeeze them both in a bag. We know it will not fit just looking at the sack he was trying to put the boxes in. One box fits and then he tried to squeeze the other box in. Obviously it didn't fit so turned the box 180 degrees and tried to squeeze it in the bag. Seriously?! Will the box shrink if you turn it 180 degrees? I was getting really impatient and frustrated. you charged us extra $20 and you can't even give us another freaking bag. There is no way I am going back to this place. Get some real employees! One star is too much but the system made me use at least one! Bought an expensive pair of shoes that they assured me were perfect for my feet. They felt great at first. By the third day wearing the shoes was painful, so I took them back wanting to try a different pair. They told me they would not return them because they had been worn. (They were not dirty and no wear to them at all.) They said it was only common sense and any idiot would know that once you wear a pair of shoes they are used and cannot be returned. They analyzed my stride and my previous pair of running shoes to determine where I need support in a running shoe. They then offered me several different pairs to try on that had the type of support I need. They even let me jog a few laps around the store to try them out. I found a great pair at a great price. BUYER BEWARE!!!! I stopped by Ossine store on my trip to Utah and purchased 2 pairs of Addidas Sandals for $27.00 a piece for my boys. Not even a week later my boys had sores all over the top of the feet from the shoes. When I was in Park City I stopped by the Addidas outlet-yeah Addidas!!! to see if I could get a exchange the manager, Dave-awesome guy said he would be more than happy to help me out. However, I found out in the process that one pair was only worth .50cents and the other $10.00 they were outdated models. He suggested I take them back to Ossine for a more equitable exchange. When I brought them back I was told that they had been worn duhh??? and they could not do anything. The boys should have worn them in the house??? I was approached by a sales associate named Josh who asked what it was the I was looking for. I told him I didn't quite know what I was looking for yet, and was searching for the suggestions my doctor sent me with. As I looked for my note, he stood there, looking irritated and insisted I tell him what I am looking for 2 more times, each time I am politely telling him I'm not ready yet. After the third time, I told him that I will let him know when I am ready and he threw his hands up in the air and walked away yelling at me not to come to him for help! When I finally determined what it was I needed, I approached another associate who was friendly and very helpful. But I will never go back there again and won't recommend it. If my doctor had any other place to find what I needed, I would have left the store immediately and not bought anything. After getting out of the store, I called to speak to the manager and it turns out that he is the manager and when I asked to speak to someone else, he shared more of his volatile nature with me and accused me of being unfriendly...as if that justified him verbally berating me. I have purchased running shoes from Ossines for years now. I recently purchased a pair of Brooks Ghost Running Shoes from Ossines on July 23, 2015 to the tune of just over $100.00+(+tax). I try to support local when I can, well this time it came back to bite me! I have run in the new Brooks Ghost shoes exactly 5 times and put 59.1 miles on them (yup a freak about my training mileage). The right shoe above the top shoe lace on the inside has completely fallen apart-the cushion was hanging out. I took them back to the manager and he told me they were not warranted by Brooks! Seriously!? I did not ask for my money back, I only asked for an exchange, he refused and then put some "shoe goo" on them. When I insisted that I wanted another pair not being satisfied with his "quick fix" of what was clearly a manufacture defect he again said he could not exchanged them that they are not warranted. Sadly, I will not be able to support and I will not and do not recommend Ossine's!
