Perfection Onion Rings
Amanda s.

Stopped in today for the first time at 11:00 on Thursday, all by my lonesome self--and SO GLAD I DID! It might be cold outside, but there is nothing but warmth inside Oscar Scots! I was greeted kindly by Alice; let me just say, the hostess with the mostest! She told me I could sit anywhere I'd like, so I chose a high-top table #21. Stacy was my very attentive server and helped me peruse the menu. I settled on onion rings and a BLT. They arrived at the table quickly. The onion rings were hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious! The BLT on homemade bread was packed with bacon cooked to perfection--spot on! If you have a chance to visit this locally owned and operated establishment ~Do Not Pass It UP~ This place is exactly what needs to be supported by the community. You may walk in a stranger but you're leaving as a friend. I will most definitely be back in. Looking forward to trying the breakfast pizza :-)

Burger with extra pickle with perfectly cooked fries.

My husband ordered the Babble and did his best to finish it. It has 2 patties, bacon, ham, and egg cheese and loads of toppings. He loved it and said he would order it again. I order the same thing every time we go to Oskar Scots. Regular cheese burger with extra pickles, mayo, onion, lettuce and tomato. It'a delicious! The food comes out hot and is super fresh! The owner is friendly and we always have a good experience!

Oskar Scots serves some great pizza, but I came here to give a shout out to their homemade hot sauce. Their hot sauce is HOT, and we loved it! If you're looking to add a real kick to your food, and you can handle Reaper level spice, then you must ask for Oskar's hot sauce. It paired perfectly with our meaty pizza. Oskar was nice enough to send us home with an extra container of it as well! Pizza was delicious - super cheesy and meaty. Service was fast!

Supreme pizza

Menu has all the basics covered. The burger and frisco melt are good and I would get them again. Fries are plain and could be improved upon. We tried a pizza recently and it was definitely something I'd get again. Supreme was REALLY heavy on the toppings. The dough was good, sauce was minimal but tasted good. Chunks of ham are not ideal on a pizza. They all fell off or got brushed off. Overall, we'll get the pizza again minus the ham. Love supporting small business. The service is great; very friendly. This place needs more to the decor to create an ambiance people want to spend time in.

Grilled cheese and fried. Love.

Best grilled cheese ever. And I don't like a lot of cheese, but this had loads and it was perfection. The fries are also perfectly seasoned and traveled home still crispy. The owner heard I had just had surgery and sent me dinner.

At first I was hesitant because of the price, and it being biscuits, but they made me eat those words and more. It was like a large biscuit muffin top with jalapeño, cheese and honey glaze (I think) and it came with a white cheddar cheese sauce to dip it in that was outrageously delicious. For a guy who hates cheddar biscuits, I've got to say I'm blown away. My wife ordered the steak with fingerling potatoes and carrots. It was on the pricier side, but yet again well worth it. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the veggies were pretty good too. They had live music playing as well tonight. It was a jazzy kind of vibe and it didn't over power anyone talking or anything. The guy had some serious skill too. To top it off, we had some pretty killer service from everyone there. From the hostess taking our names, random servers walking around, and our fantastic server (I forget her name but she was blonde and worked upstairs and had a a really great attitude. The expo or food runner dropping our food off anticipated us possibly needing an extra plate and brought one without asking which was super awesome and ended up coming in handy ( I knew my wife wouldn't finish that steak alone) and she brought it without asking and was ready with a smile to get more. I used to be a GM (I hate when people use this saying but...) truly I know how hard it is to find good workers and the folks running it here seem to have it down. I come from a place where you have to drive 100 mi or more for average service. So seeing exceptional service is really almost too good to be true. I'd definitely stop in for a bite. It's worth every penny. We'll be back for dessert, they have seasonal crème brûlées!

Even after…read moresending it back, it was still inedible--which was surprising given how simple the order was: scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, and pancakes. The pancakes were cold, as if they had come straight out of the refrigerator. The potatoes were soggy and cold and tasted like nothing but oil- no seasoning at all. The sausage was so dry that even drinking water didn't help and you could hardly cut through it with a fork. The eggs were initially runny on the inside and dry on the outside, which raised enough food-safety concerns that my wife sent them back. When the replacement arrived, the eggs were completely overcooked and dry and rubbery. She didn't finish her meal, and the waitress never seemed to notice that anything was wrong. Overall, while my meal was fine, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for quality food.

We stopped in on a work trip and needed someplace close by. Our server was dealing with a broken soda machine, half the menu not being available because the salmon was still curing as well as the steak or something? But, she was gracious and calm! I ordered the: * SMORGASBORD (grilled salmon, mixed greens, arugula, pickled beets, radish, whipped goat cheese, flax bread, herb vinaigrette) - supposed to be grilled salmon but they were out as mentioned so did grilled chicken. * POTATO WEDGES (salt and vinegar potato wedges, truffle aioli, scallion) - not very salt & vinegar-y but the wedges were cooked to perfection!
