The drunken noodle with beef was very good and the mild spice level was perfect. It lacked a little bit of flavor but I still enjoyed it. Some friends went with medium and there was definitely a jump up in spice. The portions were perfect for everyone to have their own entree or to share. The crab rangoons and spring rolls were all perfect appetizers as well. Another solid option.

This is a little bit hard to find this location it is in a strip mall to the right of the family fare grocery store. It is hidden with not a lot of signage but it is there in the strip mall to the right. I would say that the only downfall of this place was that it did not take American Express. If you want to be a restaurant you should take American Express. We had the pork dumplings and two eggrolls which they say are homemade. They were both very good and then the chicken special which was really just sweet-and-sour chicken but a very generous portion of it with some extra veggies. My girlfriend had some Thai chicken noodles that she said were not very flavorful. Perhaps they weren't Thai spice but rather were moo goo gai pan. Nonetheless it came with a boatload of rice and my family chicken was enough to feed two people easily.

I recently moved back to Sparta and was excited to come back, but unfortunately the food just isn't what I remember. The staff have always been incredibly kind and welcoming, customer service has never been the issue, and that's still true today. Everyone has always been friendly, which is one of the reasons we kept coming back over the years. Unfortunately, the food quality the last two times I've been has been really disappointing and doesn't compare to how it used to be. I spent around $40 on this visit, and both meals were lacking sauce. The chicken was somehow both dry and fatty, and the rice was overcooked and slightly mushy. I ordered a combination platter and asked to substitute fried rice, which they've done for my family many times in the past. Instead, I received a regular entrée, so I didn't get the egg roll that comes with the combination platter. I also ordered a small egg drop soup but was given a large container, and the soup itself was so thick that neither of us could enjoy it. I'm honestly disappointed because I remember this place being much better. I don't mind paying $40 for a good meal, but this wasn't one. Unless you're a local who doesn't want to make the 20-minute drive down Alpine, I'd recommend making the drive instead. Even Empire Buffet has been more consistent in my experience. I hate leaving reviews like this because I've always had positive interactions with the staff, but the food quality just isn't comparable to what it was years ago. I hope they can get back to the level they used to be because I'd love to become a regular customer again.

This place had the American Chinese for those who want it but the real prize is their authentic Chinese food. We ordered the scallion pancakes, mapo tofu, squirrel fish, and the dry pot duck. Everything was amazing and we just found our new favorite Chinese restaurant in West Michigan. No more driving to Chicago for authentic food. We were so happy to find this place and the owner was so nice and helpful! We went today, which is a Saturday, and there was no one in there for lunch!!! This place is way better than all the busy Chinese restaurants and I still can not believe that it wasn't packed in there! Our new go-to Chinese spot!!…read more This spot is off the beaten path but worth the extra to stop in and try!! Our pupper's groomer is in this plaza complex and so we recently took notice and are so glad we did! On our first visit I didn't think to get pictures but it was a fun visit with a great introduction to the amazingly unique foods they offer at Z&W! This restaurant offers many of the what they call "old fashioned meals" on their menu - orange chicken, sesame chicken, sweet and sour, etc... but they also offer an "Authentic Sichuan menu"! During the first visit we had no idea what to get so we asked our waiter for suggestions and guidance! We wanted to try something off of the authentic menu but had no idea what to choose! He was terrific in helping us understand what was popular and what things we might like! There is also a book on each table with pictures of the each of the menu items! AMAZING IDEA!!! We ended up ordering the Dry Chili Beef and the Kingpao Sichuan chicken. Both were delicious but VERY spicy! For me personally, next time I go with a spicy dish (it was indicated as spicy on the menu, the waiter did explain) I need to ask them to tone down the spice level for my palate! Each of the authentic menu items comes with white rice, fried rice is available for an additional cost. These items do not include a side. The star of the visit was the appetizer of crab meat rangoons! WHOA!!! They are huge and fresh and SO stinking tasty! Ours came out so hot that the fresh, crispy shell burned my lip a little bit - but in a good way! I can't remember the last time I had Chinese food that was SO fresh!! Definitely consider ordering the rangoons!! Our second visit we decided to try the old fashioned menu - we ordered the orange chicken and the General Tao's chicken. These dishes come with rice AND a side! If you choose rangoons for the side you get TWO!!! Totally my choice as I already knew from my first visit that they were next level!! My husband ordered the egg roll which was actually crazy delicious!! It's a difficult decision! You can also choose soup in place of either of those options! We added a side of hot and sour soup to share which tasted very authentic and delicious! This spot is so cute and the staff is SO very friendly with warm, welcoming service! This is definitely a great place to grab lunch or dinner and we can't wait to get back to try out more of their highly delectable menu items!
