Yelp led us here and they did not disappoint! The chicken fun mein was delicious and a huge portion! Noodles were thin and vegetables plentiful with fresh cooked white meat chicken. Hunan Beef was good and saucy, large portion. We ordered for two and could have easily fed four! Vegetable eggs rolls tasted fresh made, nice sweet and sour sauce to round them out. I tried Peking Inn for the first time today. I was definitely not disappointed. The lunch specials are awesome. I got the Hunan beef, which is something I've never had but wanted to try. It was delicious. The beef is tender and veggies crisp. The brown sauce has a good kick but not overwhelmingly spicy. The lunch specials are less than $12 and come with fried/white rice, crab cheese, or egg roll and soup if you dine-in. The service was very friendly. They treat you like family here. Received wrong items on order for main courses. Two other items were not cooked as ordered. The other items were prepared totally differently then previous orders. Did not eat the dinner that was received. Called to get refund and return dinner if neccessary. No refund was offered. Did not want dinner returned which is understandable. I ordered sweet and sour shrimp with 2 egg rolls. It is absolutely horrible. The shrimp is dry and non-flavorful. The description said it had green peppers and carrots. It did come with one sliced carrot piece and 2 chunks of green pepper. The egg roll is a standard egg roll but it is dry as well. The only thing that was edible is the white rice. Portion size was excellent if it was edible that would have been a good thing. I should have went to Taco Bell in the parking lot instead. Worst $22 I have spent on food in a while. read more

My husband and I and another couple stopped here on our way home from a fun weekend at the Dunes. We were warmly greeted, seated quickly at a clean table, and our drink orders taken in a flash. Between us we had 3 main dishes and 2 appetizers: a vegetable egg roll absolutely stuffed, a scrumptious sizzling rice soup, Szechuan shrimp in a succulent, brown sauce (quoting my brother-in-law), chicken tofu broccoli in a brown sauce. My husband had asked for it to be "spicy", and he said there obviously was a real cook on the kitchen because his dish was the right spice and temperature. Lastly, there was the EXCELLENT sizzling rice with vegetables. I had a seafood combo dish to die for! It had lobster and scallops and shrimp with Chinese vegetables in a briny white sauce that just sang harmoniously with one another! One of the best Chinese dishes I've had in Michigan by far. I do wish the sauce was a tiny bit thicker, but I'm nitpicking! The orange chicken my husband and son shared was flavorful and crunchy. For starters, I accidentally placed two separate orders for sesame chicken at 9:30. Instead of assuming I meant the two orders the lady (possible owner?) called for clarification if I meant two orders. I know plenty of restaurants that would assume I wanted both. Now about the lady. She was amazing and extremely sweet. She sparked conversation with me about the down pouring rain outside and other small talk. The little bits of effort travel great distances. There were also presumably her kids in the restaurant as it was empty with nobody dining in at 9:30pm. They caused no issue and it was quite cute to watch them play respectfully and quietly. I got the house specialty Sesame Chicken because it's my favorite from my hometown chinese place. I recently visited my home town place and there food did not hold its quality. However, Peking In made up where they were unsatisfactory. The chicken was exceptional and the portion size was beyond generous. Some of the most disappointing Chinese food I've ever had. Their "spring rolls" are just egg rolls with no meat, they have a lot of cinnamon in them. I ordered "hot" General Tso's chicken. It was not spicy in the least and was ridiculously soupy. My husband ordered Cantonese chow mein with chicken but I'm pretty sure he got chicken chow mein. Their photos show lots of veggies but it was just soggy half breaded chicken and cabbage with minimal flavor. The egg drop soup was decent according to my husband. We decided to try this because it was closer than by 10 mins by our regular place. Won't be going back. To top it off we were told food would be ready by 6:20- 60 mins after we ordered and when we went we waited more than 30 extra minutes for our food to be ready.
