We discovered The Brass Tap while looking for a place with diverse food & drink options between my…read moreplace in Gilbert and my parents' place in East Mesa. It's located within the Cooley Station shopping center off Recker and Williams Field. There were 6 of us on a Sunday night and we still able to be seated right away as they put two 4-top tables together (due to mobility issues for some party members we couldn't use the high-top tables). The restaurant is smaller inside than expected...they have a long bar with an estimated 12-16 seats and then mostly 6-person tables filling the rest of the floor. Even with the tighter seating quarters, the noise level was fine as we were easily able to hear each other talk. Their food menu has the staples you'd expect from a pub- wings, salads, burgers, pizzas, sandwiches and a few other entrees. We all ordered different items and most everyone enjoyed their meal. My youngest got the Asian BBQ chicken sandwich and it was so wet he struggled to eat it. My Caeser salad was average...could have used more parmesan and had black pepper available. They have a large beer selection with at least 60 beers on tap, and many more beers available in bottles. I tried a local hefeweizen from the tap and it hit the spot. They have plenty of TVs for watching sports...the NCAA games were on and it was enjoyable watching the actions while dining. Their prices were equitable to other similar establishments and we liked the location as it's pretty low-key. Overall, this is a good place for food, drinks and fun.

This locationis is at the airport so pretty to look out and see planes just outside the window. There is a monitor on the fall showing flight departures and arrivals, so a great place to have a beer why you wait for friends and family to arrive. Staff - all have been great and really a main reason we keep coming back.

So, if you are like me, & don't bring your license, you have been warned. Two, the menu is not the one online. They have updated it, & some things are not available. Additionally, the prices on the menus in the restaurant are not accurate. For example, the happy hour menu says the pretzels are $7, but they are $8. The pretzels are the best we have ever tasted. I'm not exactly sure why, but perhaps because they are soft & so fresh. Hubby got a Mexican larger with lime & loved it. I got tall Tito's & cranberry juice. It was good, but a lite pour. Hubby got the Reuben & fries. He said it was very good. He liked hoe the meat was all grilled. I got the French dip & fries. The French dip was good, but I would have preferred a bun not so soft since the Au jus is so good & makes the bread soggy. The one disappointing was neither one of our fries were hot or even warm.
