Tyler, Daniel and the team here at Oshio serve excellent fish, well presented and served in a fun and friendly way that makes you happy and relaxed. Excellent drink selection too which always helps after a Long day. One of the very few places to get high quality sushi in Columbus. read more

Went in on July 20th for a lunch with a friend, tried to order the bento box with beef bulgogi and was told "we're out of beef" - If this happened late at night I could understand the restaurant might run out of ingredients due to demands, but at noon? Fine, so I settled with chicken bulgogi, which turned out to be more like chicken with teriyaki sauce. The white tuna tasted fishy, maybe because it was served in room temperature instead of chilled. read more

Oshio - Sushi Bars Near Me - Columbus, Ohio

I loved my first visit at Oshio! There's a good size sushi menu, and they have dessert too! The chocolate cake was amazing, as was the mango dessert. Service was quick and my sushi rolls were amazing. My favorite was the paradise roll - the added banana was surprisingly delicious! I'm looking forward to going back to try more sushi rolls soon! read more

The calamari was nothing special, just battered and fried but not very flavorful. I know it's just calamari but it was just meh. We had the Oshio roll and the Double Trouble. The Double Trouble is a soft shell crab but didn't have anything for me to be excited about. The Oshio roll was good at first bite with a nice smokey tuna but for some reason as you eat the rolls they seem to get saltier. They seemed high in sodium and made us thirst for water. This place is okay but since they're new they can use some time to improve. I didn't like that the sushi kept falling apart as well. The sushi is pretty pricey. $17 for a Oishi roll. read more

Really cool to ignore the girls you sat for 15 minutes while you cater to the group of "hot" girls who came in after us. And no you weren't backed up, we were just ignored. I hope the food is good cause right now I'm pretty annoyed. Edit! I always love when servers apologize, if youre human to me, I will be human to you. read more

I ordered the bulgogi thru Uber Eats, as I'm rather confined to Wexner with a family member. It was outstanding comfort food. Great flavor. It's been three days and im craving it again already. read more

Oshio is great and we love coming here. The spicy scallop roll is great. Staff was friendly and cute :)

Absolutely love this place! Such great quality sushi, at such a great price. They are constantly having various specials, like pair a roll with a Rhiengiest beer for $10! They have great happy hour specials as well. I order takeout at least once a week from here! Some of the best sushi in columbus ! read more

Oshio - Oshio is the best sushi hands down. I can't stand fusian and how it makes me sick every time. Oshio has the best atmosphere and employees. - Sushi Bars Near Me - Columbus, Ohio

Great sushi, even better happy hour. Service was good and it doesn't look like much on outside but it's cute inside.

High quality sushi, unique rolls, delish noodles, and they serve beer and White Claw! Always a ton of food. Try the sushi panini -- I know it sounds nuts but it's soooooo gooooood. Service is outstanding. read more

Update: they now have drinks! With the exception of Wine and Sake, coming soon according to our server, they have everything you could want. This is my girlfriend and I's go to spot when we are craving sushi, it never gets old. read more

This new sushi restaurant in the Grandview area is awesome! My wife and I started with the fried calamari. Very flavorful. The rolls have a perfect presentation and the fish is extremely fresh. Excited to come back soon and spread the word to our friends. Congrats, Oshio!!! read more

My entire family loves going to Oshio. They have an excellent kid's menu & my son routinely gets the delicious buttered noodles - he's also a big fan of the edamame appetizer (same as Mom & Dad). The old man often gets the popular firecracker chicken & I'm always trying new things whether the awesome Bento Box, Bulgogi Beef, or one of their amazing Specialty Rolls including the: Cherry Blossom, Grandview, Spicy Scallop, Mount Kita & Summer Rolls. The food is always delicious & the staff is friendly and courteous. Highly recommend for a family dinner, date, or if you just want to treat yourself. Our only issue is going here too much!!! read more

Great service. Calamari was delicious light and airy not too oily or too much batter. The mackerel nigiri was especially fresh and delicious. Sushi rolls were the perfect ratio of sauce/rice/protein. Would come again read more

Always enjoy this spot in Grandview. Sushi is fresh and you must try the sushi panini. They can make it (and most of the stuff on their menu) gluten free. Shout out to Cody for always giving us great service as well. read more

Good vibrations and fresh sushi right in the Grandview neighborhood. The lunch specials will fill you up and leave you with a meal to take home for later while being kind to your wallet. Highly recommended for the best sushi in town in my opinion. read more

I went here for dinner not expecting much. Boyfriend and I really liked the atmosphere and the setup of the restaurant. We both ordered bento boxes and I got a California roll and he got a spicy tuna roll. We really enjoyed the sushi most of all, it was neat and well made! The tempura veggies and shrimp had a bit too much batter and the bulgogi tasted a little dry. Overall a good vibin place to eat dinner and the staff was super friendly and helpful! Will come back, for sushi, of course. read more

Love, love, love, love this place!! Grandview is lacking in good sushi and Oshio has filled the spot. Ikura and Saba all day thank you!!

Wonderful new Sushi restaurant in Grandview! Our server (Lindsay) was very friendly, personable and accommodating! The sushi was also amazing. Go check this place out! read more

After trying virtually every sushi restaurant within Columbus and the immediate suburbs, I've settled on Oshio as my go-to. The seasonal choices are delightful and refreshing, and the staple rolls are all of excellent quality. The balance of price, the growing drink menu, and the outstanding customer service have been what has caused me to return on an almost monthly basis. read more

My partner and I were starving and found this place on Yelp and decided to try it out. I'm so glad we did! Their salmon teriyaki was delicious and perfectly cooked. We also loved their triple lychee cocktail. We had great service and walked right in and sat down. This is our new favorite place to get sushi in Columbus! read more

Been here multiple times. Highest quality sushi in town without a doubt and it's locally owned!

It's my second time dining at this restaurant. As an Asian and a sushi lover, I'd say this is the best and most authentic sushi place in Columbus! Tonight's dinner simply exceeded my expectation by so much. The sashimi was so fresh; the salmon belly just melted in the mouth. Excellent Korean dishes and service as well. read more

Hands down one of the best sushi places in Columbus. Their spicy tuna roll, is out of this world. If you haven't been it's a must try! Enjoy read more

Oshio is my favorite sushi in town! We get rolls and soups from here about once a month, and it's always really good. We usually order from Uber Eats, and the order is always correct. It takes about 50-60 minutes before they deliver, but you can taste that the rolls are made to order, so it's definitely worth the wait. I definitely recommend Oshio. read more

I brought my little niece and sister here. And surprisingly it was very kid friendly and the server was very nice. You can't beat the pricing on the happy hour sushi menu! read more

I've been coming to Oshio for 1+ years now and every single time it's amazing! Their service is great, sushi is high quality and pork dumplings are to die for. Every time I'm pleased and will always recommend this place. read more

This a great new restaurant in a spot that has had a few business come and go the last few years, so I'm hoping this one will stay! Very fresh sushi that is aesthetically pleasing. You can tell that it is prepared by a true artist, and that they care about their creations. The staff is very friendly. I sat at the sushi bar, and the chef chatted and joked with me, while making sure I was satisfied with the food as well. I'll definitely be coming back for more! read more

Overall good experience. Two of us we're seated right away, Atmosphere is cool and cozy, food was delicious! Also had some pretty unique cocktail choices. Only critique was the Server seemed like he was fairly new and was not very efficient. He told us on a Thu @6 they were not offering Happy Hour, despite the table card saying differently. I am sure this stuff will be worked out and I enjoyed myself otherwise to warrant a 5/5. read more

In the two months since returning to Columbus, I have been to Oshio half-a-dozen times -- most recently for (614) + Marathon's Restaurant Week -- and it has very quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in town. While I'm generally skeptical of seafood joints in the Midwest, especially sushi bars, they continue to impress again and again. My first few times at Oshio, I kept it simple and stuck to mix of sashimi, all of which was fresh and tasty. I highly recommend adding tamago to your order if you go down this route. Egg has no business being so delicious, and it's sweetness serves as an refreshing counterpoint to the umami of the sashimi. More recently, I've dabbled with some of the specialty rolls. The Sunday Morning stands out as it not only packs a nice heat with the presence of both spicy tuna and spicy mayo, but also has a great texture that juxtaposes the richness of avocado and cream cheese with a slight crunch thanks to a quick tempura flash fry. If you don't like sushi but wind up at Oshio, all is not lost. The ton katsu has a beautiful breading, and the sauce that comes on the side gives it a nice punch. Their appetizers are also quite a treat. The gyoza will disappear from your plate in the flash of an eye despite being quite hardy, and the tempura has a damn near perfect fry. While I am partial to the broccoli tempura, the onion ring would put many a great steakhouse to shame. My only real issue with Oshio is that they don't seem to have enough waitstaff. In terms of seating, the restaurant is small, so it doesn't usually matter too much that there are only one or two waitstaff available. However, on my second visit, service was so terribly slow I seriously considered not returning. Thankfully, it hasn't been a problem on return visits, but the thought lingers. read more

Sushi: Good, although it took forever to get ours. Our sushi didn't arrive until we were almost done with our entrees. Fire Chicken: Not fire. It was somehow too sweet, and just didn't have any complexity. Yaki Soba: Fine. Kind of disappointed overall. read more

Ordered the beef yakisoba, the beef ramen, and a tempura roll. I would describe it as an American interpretation of Japanese food. Flavors weren't great. I ended up tossing the leftovers. Probably won't go back. read more

Sooooo if you like overcooked and flavorless food, along with looooong waits for your drinks and inattentive servers, this is your new favorite place! My girlfriend, one of our friends and I decided to try this place last week. We showed up to a dining room that wasnt full, didnt seem busy at all buuut couldn't tell that from the service we recieved. The hostess cleared off a table and we were seated quickly......the only thing that was done quickly. After a twenty minute wait our server finally greeted us and took our drink orders. Half an hour passed and our mediocre drinks were finally served. Our friends martini was in a low ball glass when she requested it be served up, the server said sorry we are out of martini glasses. What?!? Go wash one then. Forty minute wait for our appetizer....apparently we ordered calamari jerky, sent that garbage back. We attempted to order other appetizers, which they had run out of. Eventually we ordered fried veggies, there were only four items on the plate, one was an onion ring. Just terrible. I tried the bulgogi, big mistake. My plate had what was clearly previously frozen vegetables and bargain basement beef.....definently sent it back. Then the server kept asking me what I wanted instead, after I said I did not want anything else. Guess he couldn't understand I didnt like the quality of food being prepared. I'm extremely disappointed with this restaurant and wish I hadn't wasted my money here. I do not reccomend trying here......just go to a drive through, greasy burgers are waaaaay more satisfying read more

I am a big fan of Oshio in Grandview, it's become one of my favorite spots to grab lunch! The Bento box is a great deal if you have a big appetite and the sushi is to die for! I like the open feel and being able to watch the chefs create the rolls. The staff has always been very friendly and I have not had anything other than a great experience dining here. The ramen is the next thing on my list to try. I definitely recommend checking it out! (Another huge perk - lots of parking!) read more

The best sushi I think I have ever had. I've been here twice within a few weeks. 2 things that need work though... they need to get a liquor license and they really need to get a busboy or more staff to help clear tables. read more

Ordered tuna. It was days old and gross. Not pink anymore. Veins visible. I expected better from this place.
