Spicy Chicken Burrito
Wanda A.

Stopped by here after we did a wine tasting, service was friendly and food was good. The portion was just right and it was budget friendly as well. I got the spicy chicken burrito and man that was SPICY! It was a bit overwhelming but when I was able to taste the rice, cheese, beans and other things it was good I wanted to order fries and tres leches but they were sold out Overall I would return but next time I will choose regular chicken

Supreme Mexican chopped salad (no dressing) w/blackened chicken

This local Mexican joint never disappoints. It is superior in terms of freshness and quality over many local and regional competitors. It is located in an old garden center store and has a spacious dining area and outdoor seating. The blackened chicken is incredibly delicious, and my kid loves the mini quesadillas.

Best place for burritos west of Boston. And they nail the spice levels. Acton is lucky to have this gem.

They also offer DoorDash delivery too, which I am familiar with the Acton location. I stopped by the Maynard Bueno Y Sano recently. I ordered 2 Fish Tacos with the Taco Special ($12 plus tax) upgrade (yellow rice, black beans, & cheese filled jalapeno peppers). My food was made to order quickly in the open kitchen area. I enjoyed my food served on a big silver plate. The fish tacos had lightly fried Cajun fish with lettuce, diced tomatoes, red onions, & a zesty Chipotle sauce folded in double flour tortillas. The good sized sides of firm yellow rice and black beans (not soupy) with the cream cheese filled jalapeno pepper was really good. I finished up my dinner plate and bussed my own plate before leaving.

I could have just gotten the tacos because it's pretty much all I could eat, but I'll have some for later and the price can't be beat for what you are getting. The tacos have a lot of meat and are filling. The beans are seasoned well and were better than expected, and the charred jalapeño popper was a nice addition too. Service was quick maybe waited 5 minutes. There was no line and it was pretty empty in there but a lot of people had just left. Will definitely go back. The Thai burrito is another good one that I have gotten in the past too. Update: the leftovers were just as good!

My favorite is the bacon wrapped dates, but everything is good, the lamb chops, the duck, octopus, chorizo. I wouldn't drink it anymore, but it's the first time I've seen Kalimoxo on any menu in the US... brings me back to when I was in high school in the Basque Country of Spain. I had a birthday party in the back room and that was a highlight, everyone who attended said we should all take turns hosting events there. The restaurant staff was very laid back about it in a good way, a few weeks in advance we just sort of asked if we could reserve it and then came up with a menu of things to bring out and drinks to have available and it worked out and was one of my best birthdays I can remember. We played our own music on a speaker we bright in, very chill and fun. Some nights they have live music and that has been fun as well. I'd recommend for a date night, girl's night, or a party like a birthday (adults only), office going away, small baby or bridal shower. Probably not the place for a business meeting. Great spot in Maynard, indoor or outdoor dining.

Despite this, we got sat at a pretty awkward table - very long and it made things difficult for sharing unfortunately. The menu had a good mix of dishes, all of which came out as soon as they were made. The paella came out last and took quite a long time - we were already pretty much full from our other dishes so just keep that in mind if you order it. Most of the dishes were lackluster - my favorite though was the eggplant, I enjoyed that the most. Everything else was small and not super flavorful. Paella was yummy, but pretty expensive for the portion. Overall, I probably wouldn't come back out of my own volition, but I didn't mind the food - I just don't think the price and quantity/quality of food matched.

They are a nice sized portion and layered so that every bite has great homemade tortillas and a full pile of toppings. There isn't any melted cheese and that's a GOOD thing! While I love cheese, this makes for a more flavorful experience without the oil. One of our close friends from NYC is eager to come here wherever she's in town just for those nachos! I don't drink, but most of the people we bring here do and they always appreciate Medusa's extensive beer selection. They particularly enjoy the sampler flight so get them acquainted with the options. Having live music is a nice plus. Indoor and outdoor (depending on season), it adds energy to the experience.

Taco gato shares space with Medusa brewing company so there are also craft beers and fun activities like trivia night and music bingo too. The second time we came here it took a while to get our food, but it was also taco Tuesday so they were a little busy.

True West never disappoints! We have been going here somewhat regularly for the last decade or so,…read moreand it has always been great! We always get pretzel bites as our appetizer, and are in my opinion one of the best products they make! They are always seasoned so perfectly, and are exactly as crunchy on the outside, and as soft on the inside as pretzel bites should be, and the mustard brings it all together with that kick! The burgers are pretty average most of the time, but their sides are always tend to be great. The sweet potato fries are salted very well, and their flavor is just as good. Their onion rings are also very crispy. That said, the overall experience has declined slightly. The burgers are normally slightly overcooked, and their buns aren't great. It is also worth noting that this is where WiFi signals go to die. The staff and atmosphere are also amazing. Overall, worth a trip if you are in town.

Relaxed, comfy space that's the antithesis of more corporate-feeling outfits with the same target audience. Parking can be tough at times, but there are free spaces on the street and in the lot to its right that also includes underground spaces. -- Buffalo Wings: Offered in 1- and 2-pound portions, with a steep price for the 1-pound and a steep drop in per-pound price for the 2-pound. My small order had 8 pieces with a very thin coating of Buffalo-ish sauce-- not as spicy or as vinegary, but reasonably piquant and tangy. Not much crisp, but extremely plump and juicy chicken meat underneath. So a mixed bag of flavor and texture, but overall, good. -- True West Burger: Sort of a thick burger, sort of a brioche bun (closer to a better, fresher McDonald's), with vegetation significant part of it. Choice of cheese. Cooked to my requested medium rare, yielding juices. Overall, good burger for its class, though for $22, maybe it should be compared with classier ones. -- Fries (included with the burger): Frozen, somewhat artificial tasting, and a coating of some sort that held in the heavy dose of salt (like pretzel sticks), as if salted even before frying. -- Beers: Plenty of styles and plenty within each style to choose from. I really enjoyed my peachy Pit and Peel New England IPA and liked the Ruckus as well. Service was outstanding. My server Mariana was outgoing, very familiar with both the food and drink offerings, and checked back often. This was probably the determining factor for this tossup between 3 and 4 stars getting nudged to the 4. If it were an option, more of a 3.5. And if you're similarly torn, having some of the best ice cream in the state a few doors down afterward at Westside Creamery might tip the scale for you (literally and figuratively).
