Oscar and his crew were excellent from start to finish. They came out within 24 hours to walk the property, gave me a quote on the spot, and had a crew scheduled within days. They cleared multiple trees and blackberry bushes from the side yard, removed a large poison oak bush, and took out a massive shrub in the pool area (roughly 8 feet tall by 6 feet wide) along with more overgrown blackberry vines. On the day of the job, they showed up 30 minutes early and worked straight through in pouring rain until everything was done. They swept up after themselves and even hauled off some cut shrubs that had been sitting in my yard for weeks, at no extra charge. Highly recommend. Will hire again without hesitation. read more

I really recommend Oscar Moreno Tree Service, not his uncle at Moreno Tree service. My mistake. Oscar is the one I had the pleasure of doing business with today. He knows his trees and yards and is an excellent communicator. Oscar checked out the job. Gave me a fair price and when crew arrived they were prompt and efficient. My oleander hedge was out of control and needed to be cut down to within four feet. The brush and weeds at the top of the hill had to be cut and a large tree trimmed. The crew cleaned and hauled all of the debris out to their shredder in the street. Please check out Oscar Moreno Tree Service if you want a job done well at a very fair price. read more

Oscar and his team are fantastic!! Oscar was extremely responsive and professional throughout the process. Prior to the job, he came to our home to do an in-person survey and estimate. Our front yard and backyard was overgrown with weeds and we needed a few trees taken out. We live on a cul-de-sac so have quite a large backyard. He provided a reasonable quote for the whole job and was very flexible in scheduling. On the day of the actual job, Oscar's team showed up bright and early and got straight to work. I can't believe how quickly they got through cutting down the large redwood tree and removing two small palms from my front yard. They went above and beyond clearing out the weeds in the front and the backyard (it was literally becoming a forest back there). I was prepared to pay a little more than the original quote for the job because of how much work they did, but Oscar was true to his estimate and only charged what he quoted! I am so soo pleased with the work they've done. We now have a presentable backyard to use for the summer. 10/10 would recommend Oscar's services. We will definitely be calling Oscar for our future needs! read more

We've worked with several tree services over the years and Oscar's is among the best. We hired him to remove a very large Monterey pine tree, and it was a tricky job because we have lots of mature landscape under and around the tree that we wanted to preserve. They did a fantastic job--none of our landscape was harmed in the process (that's a first for us!) and they even stayed after dark to clean up. To top it off, the whole team was on time, very nice and pricing is reasonable. We'll definitely work with them again. Thanks guys! read more

Would highly recommend! Oscar communicated well up front and was fairly priced compared to other quotes I received. He trimmed down 2 large oak trees below the halfway point so I could get my view back, and did it in under 4 hours without bothering us at all. We live on a steep hill, but he worked meticulously, carefully, and efficiently, which showed a lot of expertise. The team did a great job and we are glad we went with them. 10/10 read more

Oscar does amazing, first-rate professional work. The best. I highly recommend his services. -Ray Fabie

This is the second time I have had Oscar Moreno do tree work for me and he and his crew are just wonderful. The first job he had done was thinning out numerous fruit trees and topping them so that I could still reach the fruit as the trees had gotten quite tall. He also shaped a tree on the street that the city had butchered and gave it symmetry as I'd requested. This second job, Oscar and his crew relocated three trees for me, as I had requested, to better places in the yard where they'd thrive. He is professional, prompt, cheerful, full of excellent advice for planting and caring for trees, he is reasonably priced, professional and a nice person to work with. I highly recommend calling him, he is great to work with. read more

We have used Oscar's company several times. He's trimmed a tall redwood, removed a large oak, and trimmed several medium sized privacy tees. We've always had a great experience (and we aren't easily pleased in general as we have very high standards). They work safely, have a sense of esthetics, care about the health of the trees, are professional and polite with us and neighbors, clean up well. They are available, show up on time. read more

Oscar and their crew were back again at my home to work on removing a large diseased tree, weeding and to work on a neighbor's overgrowth. They were punctual, tidy, removed the tree, weeded roots and all and left both areas tidy with no extra work for me to do. Oscar's and his team were calm and professional when they encountered a unjustified, disgruntled neighbor. Highly recommend. read more

Oscar Moreno and his team are highly recommended . Oscar had previously left his business card at our house and we had a large Ash tree section collapsed in our back yard last weekend. I emailed Oscar that afternoon and he responded promptly and was out with his team the following morning ( he offered to come that same night!). This was a major project as the entire 70 year old mature tree had to be removed due to a fungus issue . Oscar evaluated the situation and gave me fair price. He and his team are very professional and his team is one hard working group. They did an outstanding job and the backyard and side of the house where they removed large limbs and truck pieces were cleanly removed . Highly recommend Oscar Moreno Tree Service!! read more

I got in touch with Oscar to get a quote to remove a lot of overgrown weeds and shrubs in my back yard. He came the following day and gave me a quote, and asked if I was available the next day. Oscar and 5 guys spent the day cleaning up my backyard and removing some junk that was also in my backyard. They did a fantastic job and I'm very happy. This is not the first time I've used Oscar. My neighbor and I had Oscar remove some trees between our properties and he also did a great job then. I highly recommend! read more

We hired Oscar and their crew to prune and trim several very overgrown, tall privacy trees in our driveway and backyard. They did a truly remarkable job. Over the years, we have worked with several tree services, but none were able to reduce the tree heights to a manageable level due to their tight locations and heights. Oscar and their team were both capable and efficient, delivering exactly what we wanted and completing the job quickly. Throughout the process, they communicated with us about any concerns or questions. They also spoke with our neighbors in advance to ensure it was okay to block their driveway, and they thoroughly cleaned up the yard and driveway afterward. We were extremely happy with their service and highly recommend them. read more

Oscar is a very competent and efficient tree guy. He understood exactly what I wanted (remove a huge dead pine tree, fell a few eucalyptus trees, and place or cut the logs in an optimal way on my backyard hillside. His workers were well trained and cleaned up everything after. Oscar speaks great English and that's important for clarity. When I requested some changes, he and his team came through. I don't know if his quote was high or competitive but it was worth it from my standpoint. read more

Met Oscar the day after freak wind storm in Oakland Hills broke a large Yucca in half in our front yard. Next day got a quote, then next morning his crew came and removed the yucca and trimmed a large badly pruned, huge, overgrown Podocarpus that had grown into the neighbors yard. He recommended removing a magnolia branch so the podocarpus would have space and sun to grow in our yard. Very astute advice. Quality of work was excellent. Podocarpus looks beautiful now and all for a good price. Very happy to have found someone who understands trees, people, and nature. read more

Once again I am delighted to write another glowing review for Oscar Moreno's tree service biz. I asked him to come back to give me a bid for removing some trees, multiple bushes and shrubs to get my house ready for fire season. His crew descended again like a swat team on a mission. It was a 3-day mission because there was so much to remove. His crew carefully shaped the trees and the hedges to make it very clean-looking. Each day before they left, the crew cleaned up all of the yardwaste so it was not a hazard. I have only written two Yelp reviews and both of them are for Oscar's biz. Hope you will call him for your job! read more

Oscar returned my call promptly and came over the same afternoon to assess the job. The price was in the ballpark of what I had in mind. His crew came the next morning at 8:30 as scheduled, and they were out of here by 10:00. It was obvious Oscar had instructed them to do everything exactly as we discussed, and they left the job site clean and the job complete. You can probably pay one guy a little less and have him in your yard all day, doing it but by bit, but if you prefer to have a crew of pros get in and out quickly and efficiently so that you can get on with your day, Oscar is the guy to call. read more

Oscar came over to inspect the work I needed within half an hour of my calling. He was quick, very honest in his assessment of what was to be done. Three days later he was at our home at 8am with a crew of 5 did an amazing job of cutting trees, grinding stumps, transplanting large bushes, clearing our hillside and more. All work was done swiftly and was very carefully done working around drip lines and other nearby plants. Oscar's and his team are true professionals. He listens to our needs and concerns, and answers all our questions. His comment that he can do things any way we want them done was absolutely true. And his pricing is more than fair. He will be our go-to- gardening guy going forward. His crew left us with much more "firewise" front and back yards also taking care of all the cleanup from his team's work. And such peace of mind as well. read more

I have used Oscar twice to do tree work for me. The first time he removed a volunteer Privet tree that started growing in my yard, including taking out the stump, and also a bunch of volunteer plum trees, This time he removed a large branch from a Cedar tree and trimmed/shaped two other trees that were blocking the sidewalk and front stairs of the house.
