    Our boat

Osaka has taken over the previously occupied Japanese restaurant. The space looks identical from the inside. The decor is very basic, other than some colorful lights. At Osaka they offer all you can eat sushi as well as Hibachi. They also have a regular sushi menu. We were a party of three, two of us were super hungry and one wasn't as hungry. So we decided to go for the boat. This boat was the right size for us. It featured mostly sashimi and a few rolls. It came with soup and salad! This was super, super fresh! The sushi was flavorful and fresh! The soups were hot and delicious, the salads were tasty too! You bet we cleaned up the boat. If we had any left overs we could take them home, since the boat is not part of the all you can eat menu. We were all so full. Osaka makes the freshest sushi in town.

Love this place! I'm a big fan of buffets and this place may be one of my favorites in the area. I really like the decor in the inside. It gives a fancy yet casual vibe. There are additional seating in the back as well. All the food came out fresh and made to order. We got a little bit of everything from appetizers to the chicken and broccoli, brown sauce, entrée, and the steak hibachi. I really enjoyed the fact that they include sashimi in the menu as well. The staff was super friendly and attentive. Will definitely be coming again!

Full load of Sashimi. Tuna, Yellowtail, Salmon and Eel. I doubled up on the Philadelphia rolls, love them and a Dragon roll.

Second time to Osaka. Another fantastic meal. A ate a TON of food and loved everything that I ordered. This time I went heavy on the Sashimi, 5 pieces each of Tuna, Salmon, Yellowtail and Eel. Maxing out the amount allowed per person........hahaha. Wonderful! My favorite place as far as ambiance goes. Still the best AYCE Sushi spot that I've been to. No complaints at all the service is quick, polite and attentive without hovering over you like some places. I have absolutely no complaints!

The restaurant was basically empty. The space is clean, with some colorful lights and an industrial feel. The menu was substantial, there was a lot to pick from. They have hibachi, poke bowls, noodle soup, and so much more. We got a sushi boat, with Ikoi rolls, also the Maki combo, the Mango Hawaii Roll, and the Spicy Tuna roll. While this was a ton of sushi, most of it wasn't good. The tuna roll was dry and tasteless. Same goes for the maki combo. The Ikoi was greasy. The only winner was the Mango Hawaii Roll. It was fresh and flavorful! The seaweed salad was also pretty satisfactory, as well as the egg drop soup. I am pretty disappointed in the overall quality of the sushi at Ikoi. I don't think I will be returning here.

I loved it, what a treat, and the price was pretty amazing too. The raw roll set us back around 8.75 and the fried one was around 12.50. Both mom and I shared them and were full afterwards. There's a reason why out of all the stalls this one has a sizable line, definitely worth a try, even if you just try one of their friend rolls.

Koji's sushi dog blew me away. It was basically a sushified tempura fried hot dog. Looked great. Very creative. Tasted very good. That put Koji firmly on my radar as a creative force. A few weeks after, I returned to try something on their actual menu -- a fried sushi roll. I don't know the history of the fried sushi roll, but the Parkville Roll with chicken and shrimp tempura, avocado, cucumber and sauces was my first. It was very tasty and I don't know where else you can get one around here. They let me try a sample of their Koji Fried Chicken nuggets as well. They were tasty, especially in their sauces. Koji is definitely a vendor to check out when you visit Parkville. 4.5 Stars

Kyoto... Saturday…read morenight check-in, and there were just a few patrons inside the restaurant, and takeout was slow The menu consisted of appetizers, soups, salads, ramen, hibachi, sushi, sashimi, rolls, and signature rolls Our order went in for two appetizers, one was the pan seared dumplings, and also some fried crab rangoon For the main course, my friend had the shrimp curry ramen, and I ordered a specialty roll called a momoirio roll, and an order of salmon sashimi I also ordered one of those peach ramune drinks After a short wait, the two appetizers arrived. The pan seared dumplings were absolutely delicious, and I would definitely get again. The crab Rangoon to me was a little bit off and flavorless. Also, it wasn't deep fried enough, so it was a little bit spongy and tough, instead of crunchy on the outside with an exploding filling My friend loved the curry shrimp ramen, which had a very generous portion of shrimp included. The salmon sashimi I had appeared to have been colored a deeper hue, which tells me it was probably farm raised. It also was very oily, and very hard to pick up with the chopsticks. I had to fork it. The salmon was also room temperature, which kind of set up a little warning for me like maybe it was a gas station sushi.... I ate it. It was meh The signature roll I ordered was terrible in presentation. It looked like it was wrapped in human skin and kind of grossed me out. The signature roll also had some type of white sauce, spritzed over the top of it, which was not appealing to my eyes. Flavor wise, there was none! I could only taste cucumber. I couldn't taste the lobster, I couldn't taste any other flavors in it. There were some black stuff on top that was crunchy. I didn't know what it was. I had to go back to the menu to see the other ingredients. And as far as the white sauce... I couldn't even imagine a flavor. As for service, the server we had seemed a little bit inexperienced. When I questioned some of the items on the menu, she had no answer and she had to go get a menu to read to me what was included in it. While she kept our water glasses full, she never asked if we wanted a dessert or tea What would have been a nice touch, but missing should've been some noodles with dipping sauce. That didn't happen. Also, maybe some complementary tea while we were looking at the menu would've been nice... Other than around the checkout- pick up-workstation, this restaurant was sparse and lacking decor. It also seemed like there was a lot of wasted space Somehow, I just was expecting more like some typical and traditional Japanese style. Boy was I wrong. As far as a date night atmosphere to remember, dining here isn't it. This place could offer the town so much more, as it seems like it could be so comfortable to hang out here have a few cocktails and enjoy a nice traditional Japanese dinner. But it misses the mark. I'm so on the fence with the rating. It definitely isn't a five piece. It's not even a four star. Parking is plentiful in the plaza. For $72 with the tip, and without alcoholic beverages; I think this visit was not a value. Fair service, no ambience, very limited menu... so reluctantly I give it three stars It just seemed like I didn't feel welcomed. When leaving, I paid a little compliment to one of the young males behind the register and he just seemed to take it with a grain of salt like in one ear and out the other....not even a thank you In closing this place is best for takeout

The menu is decent, with various ramen, hibachi, sushi, and appetizers. We enjoyed the shrimp tempura, avocado, and sweet potato rolls, all with six pieces each. Of the ramen, we had the shoyu chicken, vegetarian and wonton (all tasty though more toppings would have been good especially vegetables); the wonton had a thick skin so they didn't fall apart in the broth - I liked this but others thought it was too thick. Much of the food had an unexpected sweet flavoring. We also enjoyed the seaweed salad and vegetable gyoza though the latter weren't big pieces. The packaging of the ramen was effective because the toppings were separated from the broth to prevent sogginess. The ambiance of the location feels pretty sparse with a lot of white space. No one was in the establishment when we picked up the food, given a Sunday evening and holiday. The vibe felt like more of a casual quick meal or takeout vs. someplace to linger and bask in the atmosphere. They also had a kiosk to order and pay in the store if you don't feel like talking with anyone. When ordering, we didn't create an account so didn't get a notification about when the order would be ready. But they say 20 minutes on the website and it was ready when we arrived. The plaza has Fitzgeralds, CVS and Jersey Mike's.
