Ive been here a couple of times over the 3 years. I understand that business operations change when places get more popular, but it definitely sucks to see the quality go down as well. I first went when you can bring food in & pets. Ive also been at their esports watch parties and there as a casual customer for drinks. In the beginning, their cocktail menu varied from $12 to $16. Now it seems like most of their specialty drinks are $16. Non alcoholic drinks are still $10. Compared to other bars, usually the menu will display the brand of alcohol used but their menu doesnt display it. I have had a few of their drinks but they are not particularly strong. I am not sure about the food quality there as Ive never seen a menu there since they've introduced food. I would recommend other Chinatown bars as OS NY is more popular as a LAN internet gaming center. read more

Swing by OS to check it out as I walked by and it looked happening. The room was crammed/ filled with pc stations and TV monitors with various game consoles. You can switch between gaming on consoles and PC. Admission is $25 for all day play. Closed at midnight. Unisex bathroom- multiple individual stalls in shared space. Somewhat clean. There was melee tournament going on and players seeking others to challenge. Lots of players having fun. Bar is located the the front by entrance. There is a front reception to pay before entering the play arena. Great vibe but abit too much for me (not a gamer) so I didnt stay long. Not sure if there is food served at this establishment as it's mostly a lan party central. But it would be cool to have cafe vibe at the front by bar for folks that game and is hungry. Small eats and snacks would be sooo appreciated especially if its hot. They can designated some space on the front so its separated from the gaming arena. read more

For when you want to drink with your friends but also want to engage the game playing part of your brain, OS NYC is the answer. It's a pretty clean, welcoming space where you can get a cocktail while also playing console games or board games. I like that this place attracts both nerdier gamers and casual normies without either group feeling out of place. The video game section runs $15 for entry, which feels reasonable when you're settling into their couches that make you feel like you're in someone's living room. The board game selection is where me and my friend group gravitated on our last visit because we're obsessed with Settlers of Catan and they stock multiple copies. But unfortunately the game maintenance is sloppy, as our board had missing pieces, duplicate cards, or components from different games mixed together, which completely defeats the purpose of a dedicated game cafe. They definitely should be checking the boxes before putting them back on the shelf. But when the games are complete and the space isn't packed, it's a decent place to hang with good drinks, comfortable seating. The crowd timing makes all the difference though. Show up during peak hours and you'll spend more time waiting for controllers than actually playing. read more

Honestly a pretty fun place, mainly for gaming. I could not imagine going here alone because I'd just play at home, but this is a great place to go to with friends. I would say the main audience are adult gamers so I would be slightly hesitant with bringing kids. The staff is quite nice and friendly! The day pass is $25 - so I recommend spending at least more than 1 hour to get your moneys worth. There is a very large variety of consoles so I think it has something for everyone. I'm giving it this rating because some of the PCs were a bit worth down (i.e. headphones) and the bathroom was a bit gross as well. Though I did come on a weekend so it's probably harder to maintain with the larger volume of people coming in. Drinks are good, but I think that the vibes would be a bit odd if you're also not going to be partaking in some of the games. OS is the go to place for gaming in NYC. That is, it was almost 2 years ago when I last went. Now it is still amazing, but seemingly on the downfall. I came to play some games for fun and to eat. Since gaming is the main function, I'll start with that first. I went to the lan setups as that's where you expect the best PCs to be. I picked out a PC that was on windows 11, went to launch marvel rivals anddd- update required. The next 40 minutes was me looking for something that didn't need an update and looking at my phone to kill time. Eventually I did get to play, anddd- 70 fps on low-med graphics settings. Decent but not for the picture being worse than my ps5. I had fun though. Also I should note, the headphones were peeling and very worn in. Now let's talk food. I ordered a Power Up, it was awesome! But I was hungry. So I went to get that beloved baked Mac and cheese I had last time andd- The entire kitchen is gone. They've partnered with a Korean restaurant named tada. So I ordered Cheesy Tteok-bokki from the restaurant and OS staff brought it to my setup. (The staff was awesome all around) The cheese on the meal was nice, but everything else wasn't my taste. But that's not on OS of course. After this I went to try the racing seats out. As a big person I knew it would be a bit difficult, nothing wrong with that. But the steering wheels controls were delayed and wouldn't register half the time, and I couldn't lock it into place or adjust to properly. I ended up leaving earlier than expected and throwing away half of the Korean food wishing I could get money back from Tada. All in all, OS is a great place to go with friends (which I don't have lol) and is awesome if you don't have a PC or console setup or the household situation to enjoy them. But compared to last time I went, things have noticeably changed. I only hope that it isn't due to insufficient customers. And if so, I still encourage everyone to give them service to it can be fixed! read more

Perfect spot for video gamers! You can all play call of duty (or any game) at the same time. There are rows of computers loaded with games. They also have board games for those who do not fancy video games. The only downfall is no food being sold there. They are investing in food for the near future. But you can always order Uber eats delivery to OS NYC. Staff were helpful in setting up our controls and answering any questions. It is $20 for admission, unlimited games. Not too shabby. The alcoholic drinks were nicely made. The $12 blue drink (Cortana?) was on the strong but sweet side. Gender neutral bathrooms. This place is amazing! I'm a bit of a nerd but not a gamer if that can be true. I brought some students here to celebrate their success in an academic competition and we ALL LOVED IT! Great vibe to the place and the staff is helpful and friendly. The day pass is well worth the cost given the variety of games and equipment available. This was our final stop after a day visiting the Wall Street bull, Trinity Church, and walking the Brooklyn Bridge. We kicked the day off by taking the NYC ferry from Ferry Point Park to Wall Street. Total blast for everyone. I'm going to look into hosting a tournament at OS NYC for students at my school for a future outing. DEFINITELY check out this gem! read more

Why is no one talking about how good the food is??? I had zero expectations from food from a LAN bar, but tried my luck because I was hungry and I was so pleasantly surprised! Apparently the owner is Lebanese, so their Middle Eastern offerings are pretty legit. I offered the special Beef Kofta skewers with Labneh dip (pictured), and they were juicy and well-seasoned. I also tried the Poutine, Chocolate Cake, and Cheese Arayes, and they were really solid. I'd never had Cheese Arayes before, so I ordered it at my friend's recommendation and loved it -- kind of like a Middle Eastern quesadilla with fresh melty mozzarella cheese in a pita. Some other friends there were also first-timers and they expressed surprise at the quality of the food they ordered too! We also ordered espresso drinks (which weren't even on the menu) mocktails, and their beverages were also shockingly above average -- my latte was better than Starbucks, that's for sure. This is definitely one of the coolest, most unique places I've been to in the city. They have a bar up front, and an amazing set up of high powered desktop computers and consoles in the back. It's $20 for a day pass, totally worth it as they have pretty much every game imaginable and the vibe is super chill, no one bothers you and you can just game as you please. They even have a dedicated room for streaming. The employees are really nice and will walk you through the whole setup. Everyone is there to have fun and game, so it just creates a great environment for you to game to your heart's delight. OS NYC is a super nice venue for eSports and gaming in the NYC area. The venue has a bunch of open spaces for playing Switch games, PS5, PC, you name it. I haven't been to a place like this in a really long time. I came here for a Super Smash Bros event and was a little confused as to what the event entailed, but paying for entry and making my way over to one of the setups was easy enough. The players there were super friendly and I could see myself coming back sometime for another event, or just to hang out and have fun! I really like how they had the setups for the SSBM event. Each player had their own nice gaming chair, monitor, and speakers. There was no lag at all, which was fantastic. Really well thought-out and much easier to work with compared to when I used to go to tournaments 8 years ago - everyone brought their own setup! This seems like a lot easier for the event organizers in that way. They have a nice-looking bar when you walk in, with lots of specialty cocktails based on video game culture. There's a QR code you can scan to order food, too! I didn't get a chance to order food or drink, but I'll take advantage of that next time I'm here. read more

Stopped by here for a quick drink while we were waiting to be called for a resturant near by and honestly had a great experience. This place like a gaming lounge, in the front of the place has a full bar with a nice setup. While in the back had a bunch of games and what not. Our bartender was literally so amazing, didn't get his name but he had blue hair and hilarious! He is a bit of a heavy hand so you'll definietly be hit with a strong drink. Cool environment, I really like the vibe and the layout of OS NYC. My only issue is that I came tonight to play some games with friends and could not even hear them. There were music artists one after the next for the whole 4 hours I was there. Again, great music, but probably not when people can't even hear their games through their headphones at max volume. I paid $25 to come and play video games, not to be deafened by the music. I'd recommend checking it out in the daytime or when there isn't live music right next to you if you need to/would like to be able to hear your headphones. read more

The computers are clean and fast, I love spending my time here. The live music night was a blast my daughter loved it. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. The place is dog friendly and we were welcomed with dog treats for the two dogs we brought along with us. They snapped a Polaroid photo of the dogs and made their way to their wall of dog fame. As for the place, the bar is small but the drinks were tasty. I went in for some drinks, but was pleasant surprised to find an awesome gaming space. $20 to play any console til business close...I'm not familiar with game cafes, but I think that's a great way to spend your time either alone or with other gamers. The environment was clean and well maintained too. Plenty of seats on a Sunday afternoon. The bar area is pretty small, right at the entrance, but it's a nice bar with fun drinks. This place is great if you want to sample some select PS5 games, some select Nintendo Switch games, and they have a ton of PS4 games to play. They might only have 7 or 8 PS5 games available to play, and many are multiplayer only, but you can still play missions or get a taste of what the games are like, despite not having full access. I played Grand Theft Auto 5 for PS5 for over an hour, despite it not being as good as the original PS2 games, it was still great to play a game with graphics that amazing. They had the newest Call of Duty for PS5 which you could play multiplayer and had full access to. The Nintendo Switch games library was somewhat lacking but still cool to check them out. They did have probably 35 or 40 PS4 games available, with the great majority you had full access to (some were not playable). They also have a sit-down (or lay-down to be exact) racing game, with rumble and you felt like you were in a real race car (2022 game) There are at least 30 computer screens with games, but you need a password to play them. Great place to hang with friends and game on both the PC and consoles. Just note that some people make reservations for an entire row for PC so definitely ask the front door person where you can sit if it's your first time. Drinks are also reasonably priced.
