Had a very pleasant dinner here from start to finish. Started with the APOLLO cocktail which is bourbon, pear, lemon, bitters. This was outstanding. Well balanced, easy to drink but packing a punch. I highly recommend it. For starters, we had the BABAGANOUSH which comes with pita bread. Impossibly creamy yet light. It came with pita that was toasted a bit much and ended being too hard and dry. It was however promptly replaced by fresher warm pita. The OCTOPUS was perfection. In a caper lemony based sauce with the freshness of dill, I really enjoyed the perfectly charred octopus and the soft fava beans. The disappointing dish was the LAMB KOKTA (POPS). It was very dry both inside and outside, oddly sweet and just needed more sauce to counteract the dryness. The pops were on the leaner side and it was sort of tough to eat. It was a miss for me. As main, we opted for the SEA BASS and that was also perfectly grilled. Fresh, boneless, a light protein choice. I opted for the Greek style which had capers and it was chef kiss*. As a side, the CAULIFLOWER were insanely good. The tomato tahini goes so well with the slightly sweet curd. Service was an absolute dream. We had such a great experience here. Shout out to Yandis C. at the bar who was charismatic, helpful and offered the perfect amount of attentiveness. Beautifully designed restaurant, perfect lighting. read more

LOVE this place. This chef knows what she's doing. Big seafood/fish lover and the chef perfectly executes these dishes, allowing the natural brightness of herbs to shine while subtly yet impactfully complementing the delicate seafood flavors. Clean, elegant, and fabulous. The food, service, decor and ambiance are all exactly what you want in a Mediterranean restaurant. Faux olive trees, lemon standouts, sheer curtains - you feel like you're in a mini Mediterranean castle. I was surprised they weren't already Michelin rated at the least! They made my Vegas visit. Orla delivers! right down to the very last bite. read more

Beautiful ambiance in the restaurant, really liked the interior design, the not to dining under the stars on a Mediterranean patio. Our group was dining before a show at allegiant stadium and the server was kind enough to add a little hustle to his service without making us feel rushed or unattended to. Unfortunately the kitchen mixed up one of our dishes which we were really looking forward to trying and accidentally sent out the Spanakopita instead of the Lamb Kofta Pops. We declined the Spanakopita and didn't have time to wait for the replacement of the Kofta pops, but were well taken care of by our server. Some of the standouts for us were the Marinated Bigeye Tuna, Smokey Baba Ganoush, and Line Caught Swordfish. Two of us stayed behind for dessert at the bar and highly enjoyed the Lemon Cake for dessert and possibly the best Espresso Martinis that both my buddy and I have ever had. read more

Went for the first time last week and definitely won't be my last. It was really busy (there were multiple conventions at Mandalay), but we still were seated promptly for our reservation, service was attentive and the food came out at a good pace. We started with the Muhammara and the pan fried cheese. The muhammara was so flavorful and my favorite part of the meal. I didn't get a picture because we dug in right away and devoured it. The pan fried cheese was good, but it was a tad on the heavy and rich side for me. I had the sea bass and lemon potatoes, which were both flavorful but not overbearing. My friend had the baked macaroni and said it was delicious. Both our mains were large in portion size and we both had leftovers for another meal. read more

This was a wonderful surprise. I expect great things from a Mina place but honestly, I haven't heard much about Orla since it opened. Now I know! The room is gorgeous. The lighting is perfect and the design is modern, on theme without being "theme-y" and just very pretty. The music was not too loud and we could easily carry on a conversation. Tables are also comfortable and you aren't sitting right on top of your neighbor. This is truly a welcoming dining room and it's unfortunately not the norm in Vegas right now. We were greeted with a glass of bubbly shortly after being shown to our table, which was such a nice touch. I assume that is because I'm an MGM Platinum member, and I just love when they do that! Service was perfect throughout, with managers dropping by to ask how things were and even offering an amuse-bouche. Fantastic! We started with zucchini fritters, which were very good. But the show stopper of course is the Pan Fried Cheese, which is not only quite a show, but is absolutely delicious. You simply must get this. I ordered simply, getting the Baked Macaroni. And I am not lying when I say everyone at the table was fighting over my dish... it was excellent. I recommend you get one of these to share with the table because everyone will want some. My partner had the shortrib, which he liked but it had maybe more bone marrow than shortrib, and he isn't a fan of the marrow. Next time he'll get the steak or the lobster spaghetti. Our friend had the lamb chops, which he devoured. This was a lovely meal. Highly recommend. Can't wait to come back. read more

Food is always good. Would have given more stars but when we went in March service was very slow. I found out you removed the tamarin drink. This time we had our service dogs. We were asked what service the provide I said medical alert the (the hostess and then the manager) wanted to know the exact nature of our disability which is none of there business. They could ask how the alert but not what for. That is personal. Then they both read us the riot act on the dogs could not eat or drink. YES we know this!! Then we to our table. There we're 5 of us. The dogs went under the table as they should and laid down. The every wait staff that passed by would talk to them. The dogs did not respond. It has that upscale energy where you feel like you should sit up a little straighter... but you're still comfortable settling in for the night. The staff was excellent, friendly, attentive, and clearly knew what they were doing. And the food? Everything was good. I love trying new restaurants & Orla was a perfect match. My friend is allergic to garlic & the chef was up to the challenge . Our server Adam was very knowledgeable & great stories! From apps to dessert everything was delicious! I will have to come again & try the other options as well. I went w the swordfish which was Delightful and soft. Great light sauce which was Greek style. The Orla salad was light and not drowning in dressing . The martini i enjoyed was the Turkish espresso martini! It was well balanced and I could have had several more !! Bronzino was light & melts in your mouth & this is without garlic my friend has a food allergy. I will say my birthday cheesecake was amazing w the pineapple sauce and bites! read more

Orla at the Mandalay Bay is a Michael Mina restaurant and in my experience, Chef Mina spots always slap. Orla has classy Mediterranean vibes with charcoal-roasting leading the way on his delicious recipes. I didn't dip and dive too much into the menu but what I did have was wonderful. The Macaroni Bechamel is a high end mac-n-cheese with a black truffle upgrade, parmigiano reggiano and mushroom duxelles, and a lovely bechamel sauce spread around the pasta dish. The noodles are perfectly lined up like a forest of trees giving this standard dish an aesthetic glow-up, as well. Loved it! Getting my greens in (kinda), the Zucchini Fritters did not disappoint either. Very lightly battered with dill and meyer lemon seasoning, it had an accompanying tzatziki dip elevating the eating experience of this veggie a bit. Again, loved it! The staff at Orla was great and I truly loved the dishes I had. I would absolutely pop in again & highly recommend the Macaroni and Zucchini Fritters! read more

Jeff made a most recent at Orla phenomenal. We enjoyed the Orla Experience and wine tasting. It was actually the perfect amount of food last night. While we did leave a little on the table, we left feeling satisfied but not overly stuffed. The star of the show last night though was the interesting and perfect wine pairings. Jeff told us the history of the wine houses, details of the regions, and tasting notes for each pairing. It felt like we were eating a gourmet meal at a wine dinner with an expert som. Fabulous experience! This is one of the more affordable spots in Vegas, especially when you consider the high quality of healthy food you will enjoy. Now add in the fact that it is brought to you by one of the best chefs in the world and you absolutely must visit Orla! read more

If you're in the search for a magnificent dining experience, look no further. Orla provides it all, from the beautiful decor to service, you will not be disappointed. We ordered the following dishes, -Katafi Prawns. The prawns were flavorful and fried to perfection. paired with a tasty mango sauce. -breads spreads and pickles. This came with 3 types of bread (pita, brioche and a 3rd I forget but resembles a soft sourdough with sesame) The breads are paired with a yogurt, baba ghanoush, and olive oil dip. Each were decadent! -kebab platter. The platter featured 3 meats (lamb meatball, chicken, filet mignon), your choice of sweet yam or basmati rice, roasted peppers, and paired with a sauce of your choice (tomato red pepper/chermoula) All 3 meats were cooked to perfection, seasoned well and tender. -Arugula Pesto Rigatoni. This pasta dish was paired with 3 grilled prawns that were as tasty as the katafi prawns. Also, would like to give a shoutout to Priyanka and Stephanie for providing outstanding service! read more

Celebrated my Wedding Anniversary at this location. No reservations, took us in as a walk-in. Was greeted and seated. Host gave a brief introduction about their specials that evening. Started out with alcoholic beverages to simmer down and to take in the ambiance from this restaurant. Waiter came back with our drinks. Ordered lamb, beef, appetizers and soup. This place was nice and elegant. We waited anxiously for our food. Once delivered, took a bite of the lamb and Beef. It was rather tasty. Took a bite of our appetizers, they were good. Took a bite of the Rice.. it was horrible! The rice tasted spoiled. I know what spoiled taste like and it was spoiled! . I brought it up to attention to our waiter, he stated he will talk to the cook. The cook replied back and stated it is a new batch of rice. I told our waiter that I dont want it. The thing that dissapointed me, the waiter did not try to comfort us by offering something else or exchanging the rice for a dessert or a discount. He had that attitude of oh well, you ordered it and that's what you get. I even told him to taste it. He refused. Overall, this place is expensive and I will not come back. I dont like food that is spoiled. Great ambiance and food presentation was great, but it did not live up to the hype. Waiter was biased about the food being prepared which he failed to listen to his customers. read more

Came for lunch during conference. I don't think it's typically open for lunch, just when there's large conferences in house. It does get very busy so be sure to make a reservation. The ambiance was great. Casual dining. It was a prefix menu for this particular day for lunch. The salad was so delicious! The lamb was cooked perfectly, with just a tad of spice. The baklava was okay. Not the best I've ever had. It was a bit awkward to eat. Would have been better as bite size pieces as it was so crumbly. In all the meal was delicious! read more

Came here for dinner before seeing Beyonce and it was the perfect pre-show meal! We split the Greek salad and the whipped hummus. Both were very fresh and delicious - including the pita that came with the hummus. We the split the filo crusted sole and it was decedent! The fish was cooked to perfection, flaky on the inside and nice a crispy on the outside. The brown butter sauce was the perfect accompaniment to the fish. Would re-order this entire meal time and time again. I agree with the reviews that the food is better than the service. Our server was fine, but not overly attentive and warm. The ambiance was very nice though! The lighting and trees were really beautiful and cozy. read more

I enjoyed our evening at Orla, but it wasn't as outstanding as other Michael Mina places we've tried. The food was better than the service. The staff seemed stressed and did not convey warmth or a sense of welcome. Communication among the staff was an issue. We had to ask multiple people for extra bread, and after a wait, two different servers brought it. The saganaki and whipped hummus were both delicious, but one quarter of a pita per person is not adequate to accompany those dishes and we shouldn't have to ask for more. The staff told us that the kebab platter was an entrée for two, but our party of four barely had room to share dessert after sharing two appetizers and the platter. I don't want to complain about generous portions, but this seemed like an upsell attempt. The meats in the kebab platter were flavorful and done to a turn. The rice and peppers were equal to what I get at my neighborhood Lebanese joint, not what I expect from Mina. The rice pudding, under the crispy shell, was rich with cream but lacking in flavor. I was expecting a fragrance of cardamom, rosewater, something. On the other hand, the Greek yogurt sundae was a fun tableside experience with a lovely mix of flavors in the toppings. Some Greek frozen yogurt is aggressively sour, but this had an ideal balance. Despite the service and a few less special dishes, I would come back to try more dishes if I'm going to be at the Mandalay Bay. read more

We had reservations and showed up 15 min early and hoped to be seated early. The hostess said, We seat on time. You can grab a seat at the bar if you want. It wasn't the most friendly of greetings but we were okay because we knew we were early. The restaurant was super busy and very noisy. They had a big convention there for veteranarians. If we had known this, we wouldn't have made a reservation. Regardless though, I think this restaurant is just always busy according to other reviews. It was a lot busier than the other restaurants in Mandalay Bay. We weren't able to find seats at the bar so we went to the Rif and Rythhm bar for a drink and then came back for our reservation time. Our waiter seemed very rushed. Said hello and gave us a really brief overview of the menu. We weren't able surprised none of the entrees really come with sides except for fries. We decided on the hummus and Greek salad. The Greek salad was pretty good but small. The hummus was watery. My boyfriend said watery hummus is really bad for a Greek restaurant. We then ordered the lamb to share which came with a small amount of fries and a side of the grilled mushrooms. The lamb came in 4 little meat portions and was not great. I had a hard time eating just one. It was charred on the outside like burnt and and then red in the middle. We asked for medium done. Our waiter never gave us our food, other people did and they honestly just set it down and left. Everyone was rushed and chaotic and it was so loud. It was not a great atmosphere. We were greeted by the wine sommelier, which we were like okay hi. I already knew I wanted the $20 wine from Sonoma since that's where I grew up. Most of the wines were over $100 for a glass which is ridiculous, they should have more variety for different types of customers. We also were asked by the restaurant manager how things were going and we lied and said great. We had to wait 30 minutes just for the watery hummus. We felt overall like we were snubbed because we were a smaller group, just us two instead of a huge convention party. This restaurant was such a disappointment. read more

This place was magical. From the vibes to the service to the food. My husband and I came here for dinner on our trip to Vegas and we had such a wonderful time. Our server Adam was extremely knowledgeable and attentive. I would honestly say this is the best service we have ever received at a restaurant in Vegas. He made our whole experience very special. The restaurant itself is inside of Mandalay Bay and is absolutely beautiful. The ambiance makes you feel like you are being transported somewhere else. We ordered the the prawns, the hamachi, the tuna, the lamb, mac and cheese and the sundae. Everything was excellent. The hamachi and tuna were very fresh. The prawns were juicy and crunchy, they had the most perfect texture. Adam let us know that the seafood is hand selected and shipped in each day. The lamb chops were seriously some of the best lamb I have ever had in my life. Amazing. Adam brought out a little sample of wine for us to try with the lamb and it made it taste even more amazing. The mac and cheese was also wonderful. The sundae was a nice and fresh end to basically the perfect meal. We will be thinking of this experience and the food for a very long time. Idk how I've walked past Orla time after time but never went inside. Especially because they have such a beautiful bar you would think I would be the first one in. I honestly had low expectations, not because the food looked bad or anything but just because Mandalay Bay has so many amazing restaurants that at least one of them has to be bad . I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't bad and left me wanting more. Hamachi Crudo was "Interesting" it was seasoned more than others I've had in a good way. Didn't really expect that burst of flavor but it was a nice surprise. What I didn't like AT ALL, was the saffron rice. It was all around just not good. The macaroni and octopus were FANTASTIC. I could order 3 of each and that would be my entree and I would be fine. The 2 things that STOLE THE SHOW were the red snapper & the olive oil cake. Snapper was perfectly seasoned and every bite melts in your mouth. I'm a huge dessert person and this is now one of my favorite desserts!
