Charged us $102 two months after we canceled, they refused the refund. last service was in 8/25, canceled later November after a couple months of no tech coming out. They claimed they came out every other month but charged monthly, they were not coming out bi-monthly. We canceled, and in January, months after cancellation, they charged $102 autodraft, took it, and refused refund! Tyler office is not an honest branch and will take undue funds and claim they are justified. Can't beat corporate America, so they stole their funds and I could not recover them! read more

my initial contact with them I thought I was getting a lot more than I was for the money I was paying. However, Chris Landry came in and explained everything and helped me understand a lot more than I did! He was very helpful and the service started and I saw a big difference. but 2 months in, yes only 2 months, I had another company come saying a lot of things that I loved to hear... lower prices... more services.... But they called and cancelled my orkin service for me.... And Chris called me back to make sure and the other guy was still here and answered. but When the man came to start my service we talked and I said "heck no". The prices were not way lower and the extra treatment for fleas and ticks that were "included" in the basic package, was not. That was even more of a charge. So I did not start with them. And I have reached back out to orkin and Chris Landry seeing what we can do to restart my service with them. He did say he could get me a free service or lower prices we will just have to see. I have never gotten pest control service before and I sure won't make the mistake of thinking or believing the grass is greener on the other side! lol. If you need treatment there is a better lane to be in. Several companies in the Tyler area have better histories and the pricing can be better, too. I'd recommend a lane change to have your pest control treated better. When bugs are blocking your lane, just change. read more

Would be -10 if possible. My father called about a return of bed bugs that Orkin had treated a few weeks ago. "Salesman" immediately wanted to go to the attic and said they had roof rats and first quoted $6500 to treat when my father hesitated the salesman immediately dropped price to $3500! Got second opinion from another company who said no roof rats! They had been monthly subscribers for many years. All this happened during the COVID-19 isolation. On top of that Orkin was paid January-March and they never came to perform monthly treatments. Do not use this company. read more

I'm only giving one star because I have to give a star. Twice now they've given us a 2 hour window for when they will be at my house. Twice now they've not shown up. I've missed work to be there to let them in. No call to let us know they're running behind or cancelling. AND they take payment up front so they've already been paid for a job they haven't even done. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. Call Terminix or a local, non-chain business instead. Orkin is a joke. read more

I just discontinued services with them after 11 years. There were 2 complete no shows after scheduled appoints. There was never an explanation or anything. The last 6 months there was horrible service. The guys either didn't do what I requested from them or only did it to parts of my house and yard. Complete waste of money. read more

This is the worst pest service I have ever had! The first service was rescheduled by Orkin multiple times and when they showed the guy did a good and thorough job. The next months service kept getting rescheduled by Orkin again and when the day came for the service no one showed. At this point I just thought well maybe they will come next month. On the day of the service the next month I received an email that I needed to pay for the last months service, which was a no show, so I called and told the lady I would not pay for a service I did not receive and to cancel my service. She politely said she would turn it in to a claims manager so they could cancel the service and call me back about cancelling the payment for the no show. Weeks go by with no call from a manager. I, however, did receive a call from Orkin asking to receive the payment for the no show and also a payment for the month in which I had already canceled the service before the appointment. I informed them again of everything I had been through and they have told me now for a second time they would handle this problem! read more

I have used Orkin for a couple of years. I had a great technician in Shreveport! Never had to say anything he always did a awesome job. Moving to tyler it was a no Brainer to go with orkin. First technician Sheila, was great. Then I had Carey another good technician. Recently they sent me a third technician. 3 technician! This time not good! He did the minimum that he felt required, under the sinks and kitchen. I mention what other technician did. He said he had a busy schedule. So I was done! Cancelled the service! Orkin it depends who is coming to your home. Be warned! Going with Terminix! read more
