An employee named Caleb came to my home and appeared to have been drinking. His breath smelled strongly of alcohol, which made my wife and me extremely uncomfortable, especially with our young daughters in the house. In addition, his personal hygiene was very poor, which further contributed to our discomfort. This experience was completely unprofessional and does not reflect the level of service we expected from your company. Because of this incident, we will no longer be using your services, and I will be sharing our experience with others. I am also very concerned that, if he was indeed under the influence while driving for work, he could put himself and others at serious risk. Called for one-time extermination service. Was quoted a price for a one time service. When the tech arrived, they claimed that price was for one month of an ongoing subscription service. I said I had not signed up for a subscription service. Suddenly, the price for my extermination went from ~$60 to ~$250. over a year later, after I have moved, I get a message on my phone attempting to upsell me on the subscription again. Orkin is an absolute joke. I have made several appointments to get service. The agent that was sent out talked his way out of providing the service for that day.So I rescheduled. A few days later, a man from orkin said he was a termite inspector stated that I made an appointment, and just walked in my home because I had contractors at the time, walked up to me in my kitchen, and insisted, he spoke to me and made an appointment with me, which was totally untrue.I asked him who he spoke to, he claimed it was me totally a scam.In addition to walking in my home without permission was an extreme joke. I then rescheduled for the original appointment.And they were scheduled to come today and because I didn't respond to a text.Asking if you still want us to come?They did not show up. I recently, made an appointment with them for a termite quote for tenting and they were a no call no show. I even called the company to find out where they were. I've learned that an organization that has learned to "delight the customer" knows that the people that it hires Technicians to provides it's services reflects its product. The best kept secret is "Juan" who has listened to my needs and provides the exact solutions to eliminate the pests of the season. Most recently it has been "spiders". During his visit a month ago, the spiders went into hiding or were eliminated. This month, I pointed out two bushes where webs showed up. He took care of the entire property to ensure that the solution chemical would treat their hiding places. Wow! I would like to say also that I haven't had an ant in the house since 2020! Bad experience. Very expensive$450 up front and a monthly $100. When Orkin is selling you the the product they tell you they will cover everything, however that quickly changes when the technician comes. There's additional fees for everything like having to climb over 6feet or having to go on the roof. The craftsmanship is very poor for patch jobs. On the last visit the technician reset the traps but didn't add any bait making the traps worthless, I canceled the service due to this, and ORKIN still threatened to send me to collection for not wanting to pay for the last visit where they didn't do anything. read more

Nicolas is great,! He's not only a great technician, but a good honest guy as well. I had a roach, earwig, water bug, and silverfish, issue. This gentleman came into my home with one objective, to solve the problem. And boy oh boy, did he! No longer am I up at night, trying to catch and kill, because of Nicolas' great work. In all honesty they tell you what you want to hear in order to make the sale. Once things are signed - Orkin is not involved in any of the process and they contract out the work to other companies. I have tried to contact the Orkin salesperson via call and text and have gotten no response. Should they have the decency to reach out - I will amend my comments. BUYER BEWARE!!! ***Contacted Customer Care and they put us through to main office in Riverside. Spoke with Leo and he made every effort to ensure we are happy with our purchase. Had Orkin out to check for termites after being told by our HVAC person that he believed we had termites. Orkin came out and did not find termites but said we had a rodent problem and the Orkin rep. showed us a picture of two rodent droppings and a peanut. He said that was rats or mice. We thought no that those droppings were far too large for a rat or mouse. So, we did not agree to have work done for rodent control. But he did convince us that our home needed more insulation and that included 6 inches of additional loose insulation and also a reflective barrier that would be placed up the roof rafters. The crew came and did the insulation and barrier installation. We asked the crew doing this work did they see any signs of rodents and they said no. A few days later we had a HVAC team working in the atic and they were installing two new vents to improve our house air conditioning. They told us it would help if we insulated the area above the room we were having problems cooling. We said we just had the entire attic insulated but they said there is not insulation on that side of the attic. We are in our 80s and did not get up in the attic to check Orkin's work. So called Orkin and they came out and put the loose insulation in but not sure they did the barrier. Anyway, another issue was when they had to put the barrier up in the roof rafters, they needed to nail boards onto the floor rafters in the attic to put their ladder on to reach the high rafters. When they did that, the pounding knocked the recessed lights in our main hallway out. We were told later they had a person to come out and fix these lights. Later a couple of the guys that did the insulation came out a couple of times and tried to fix the lights. They fixed a couple but one never got fixed and we contacted Orkin several times but no reply. So, we now have to find someone to fix this light and ceiling. I guess I should also climb up the ladder into the attic and see if there is barrier where it needs to be and insulation everywhere. read more

This company has horrible business practices. I received my monthly statement and noticed the standard service fee was raised 23 percent!! With No prior notification at all! No letter , no email. But Orkin will bug the hell out of you to pay. Even before the service is completed. They email something every few days trying to sell other services or a collection notice but not a word about rate increase. Go with another company. Orkin does all kinds of sneaky things to rip you off. So stupid. Orkin used to be good but something changed about a year ago. read more

Field rep Francisco, Flores lic#50745 came onto my property without my permission after I told him to leave and was looking for the previous owner. He then starts to attempt to do an outside inspection and I asked him to leave. Then he tries to sneak an inspection tag through my garage door opening. I then receive a bogus inspection in the mail stating he found termites, etc, and that he posted his tag on my front door. And it's addressed to the previous owner. So he trespassed and filed a bogus report with the structural pest control board and lied to his company stating he performed a limited report to the exterior of my house. All which are false and I have cameras. I will be reporting him the the pest control board. read more

I've used this service with a yearly contract for the past 4 years!!! In the beginning they were reliable dependable service. The technicians seemed knowledgeable and professional. This past year the price had increased to $90 for each treatment. Up from $79 when I first started... the cost of inflation is not equal to my pay increases. They promised a FREE termite inspection... first they tell me they do not do inspections on Saturdays. The technician was supposed to be here on Wednesday August 11 at 3...he got here at 5. To make up he said he would come out on Saturday morning at 9. No call no show. I call the office and they promise to sent someone on Saturday August 28th. I can to tell them an emergency came up and I couldn't get there. My son who is part owner would be there. The technician said no I had to be there. We agreed to meet yesterday September 1 at 4pm. I am beyond sick of this company. I scheduled a one time service to treat an ant problem. This service worked fine. Tech was great. After the visit is when the issues started. Orkin took it upon themselves to enroll me in a reoccurring monthly service. I have had to call and sit on hold every month to cancel this service. Then Orkin would auto enroll me for a new visit. Rinse and repeat. Every month. For the last six months. The best part is the person you talk to on the phone can't cancel the auto enrollment. Only a manager can do that- who conveniently you can't call, they have to call you. It took a manager weeks to call me back. When the manager finally called me they assured me I was unenrolled. Nope, the auto enrolls continue to this day. The initial service was fine, but Orkin has been such a hassle since them. Save yourself a headache and go with another company. read more

If I could give Orkin Pest Control, Riverside a lower rating, I would. We cancelled their service over 2 months ago and they came to our home without an appointment. I saw a gentleman on "ring" with a long duster, cleaning my eaves. They never checked rat traps or came into the home for bugs. Mater of fact, they arrived too late to do an inspection. Now I'm dealing with their continual billing and phone calls. Do not hire this company. They are not dependable and they will continue to send bills for a service that they did not give. read more

I recently hired Orkin to handle some ant issues in the yard, My tech Jorge is incredible. During his treatment he noticed some insects and after consulting with his supervisor, they confirmed they were termites. If Orkin had not been hired for the ant mounds, we may not have known about the termits this soon and the termite company will be handling the issue. read more

HORRIBLE! I had them come out to my house for black widows. He knocked down 1 web! I paid 183.50 for 1 web! I found more black widows and webs were still everywhere!! I will NEVER recommend them! I called for my money back after I had to take care of the problem my self. "DAN" the branch manager never called me back. Beware of fraud and scams. I am sickened and disgusted by the fraud. the guy came and I followed him everywhere around the house. He got into the attic but my mistake is that I didn't follow him. He came out with a random picture of a dead termite and broke the "bad news" to me and wrote a proposal for tenting my home for $13k. He acted in a suspicious way so I thanked him and contacted another company. They found NO evidence of any termites. So basically Orkin's guy had "planted evidence" to scam me. read more

We needed someone to go into our crawl space for pest control. On the call, the Orkin rep stated they could definitely take care of it- he asked for the measurements to the crawl space and we provided all the info. He gave two quotes- $260 for removal and $40 a month for maintenance or $300 for removal with no monthly maintenance. We opted for the one time visit and scheduled for a few days later. When they came out for the removal, the guy looked perplexed when he was taken to the crawl space and told us he 'doesn't do' crawl spaces...???? We were told there was nothing about a crawl space mentioned and WE were mistaken, even though the man who quoted us was given all the info and dimensions when he asked for it. We contacted customer service who was ZERO help in the moment and when we were told they would call back with a solution.. surprise- never heard back. Let me be clear- this was not about the money or them honoring the quote.. we were never given an option to resolve their poor service- not an updated quote or even a call back. This company doesn't deserve your business- do yourself a favor and opt local where they actually care about delivering a good experience. read more

PET PARENTS BEWARE!!! Someone from the company came to spray and I over heard him saying " I don't want to spray in the house if you have kids" which caused concern to me because my dog is sensitive and I rather he not get sick or have a rash. I ask the man what he was going to spray, he wouldn't tell me. I asked him for his name, he wouldn't tell me. I asked him not to spray because my dog is sensitive and he told me "IM NOT GOING TO SPRAY ANYTHING" when I closed my front door (and he thought I wasn't watching) he proceeded to spray. I have it all on camera. He was extremely rude. Now my dog has TERRIBLE rash that has continued to get worse. Well I called today and was treated like I was an idiot. "No Ma'am our product is non toxic, we don't use anything toxic" repeated to anything I said. "We don't use anything harmful to pets at all" He sent me the product they sprayed and on the first page was a insecticide called bifenthrin. So if you don't use anything harmful to pets.... why does bifenthrin causes * Profuse drooling * Vomiting * Tremoring * Hyperexcitability * Agitation * Seizures * Weakness * Difficulty breathing * Level of toxicity: Generally mild to severe, life-threatening My dog has been vomiting and has a terrible rash from whatever was sprayed. I can't wait to comb through the next 12 pages of what they sprayed. No helped was offered - I was blown off! So now I'm here to warn other pet lovers! read more

I was first told I have squirrels in my attic and was charged $1150.00. Later, I found out, it was bees, because they were coming thru the ceiling light and not one squirrel was found. A gentleman came out to spray and told me, we did not have squirrels, only bees. I asked what the charge would be and he told $250 for up to two treatments. I was relived, until I read my statement. It said I was charged SUBTERRANEAN TERMITE / COMPLETION $900.00. I did NOT have termites. I called on Tuesday and again today. After a long discussion. I was told I would receive my check for the difference in Two weeks. If it comes through, I will update my review. Below is the message I sent today, before calling the second time. To whom it may concern, I did NOT receive termite protection! I had bees and it should have cost $250. according to the gentleman who sprayed. I have already called about this on September 13,2022. at 2:53 pm and spoke for a total of 13.55 minutes. I was told this would be taken care of THIS week.
