Before they provide the service you called them for, they want you to do all sorts of work to your home before they come in to spray some repellent on your property. In my option it shouldn't matter as long as I'm paying. Seems they should provide a "to do list" before they come out so you know you will be able to receive the service you called them out for. Be very careful of the contract you sign up for. After 10 months of service, I made the mistake of cancelling early because I wasn't noticing any difference on the property and thought I would be saving the last two months. I was charged $254 for early termination that I found out about 2 months after I thought I cancelled. They claim an email was sent back to my cancellation request but all I was told to do was send an email to cancel and it would be done. It would've only costed me $160 to complete the last two months of the crappy service. Some hustlers in that office, they got me lol. read more

If you are not using Dewey Pest Control, I do not understand. They have always been great for us, we have lived in several different locations and they always make it easy to Move and get service started. We are moving again, and my wife was concerned about price as she heard another service was cheaper. Come to find out, after start up cost, that companies charge, Dewey is still cheaper. And I know they are reliable. Sad thing is we will have to switch the person who comes to the house and services the house for pest. GABE will be sorely missed as he has always made sure our house was clean of bugs. And if my wife complained about ants or spiders, he would come the next day to fight the battle. Besides that, I know my dogs will miss him too, as they have grown to enjoy the time he comes. Gabe always takes time to visit with Pache and Morgan. THANKS Gabe. We tried this company's services for about 2 months, and we were highly disappointed. When they come to our door they offered 100 off the initial service with bimonthly payments of 75 dollars. We quickly canceled after the two months after nothing changed. We felt the man who came to spray, while nice, didn't do a very thorough job. We have a spider problem and we have not seen any difference. In the end, we even had to repay the 100 dollars for cancelling the service, which I thought was unfair since we didn't even receive what we paid for. I'm very upset we have had service with Dewey for about a year, unfortunately we have had issues the past few months. Issue 1 switched my card on file so that we can have auto pay next month again had "late payment." Issue 2 call for service and they said they already came out July 24th which we were home ALL day swimming and hanging out, also checked my outdoor cameras and no Dewey person seen. Issue 3 NEVER got a call back when they said they'd call within 24hrs of our complaint.. Don't waste your money read more

A Dewey employee by the name of Charlie thought it was appropriate to ring my doorbell, despite having a sign right below my doorbell stating no soliciting. He rang my ring doorbell twice, even though it was not answered the first time. I personally wasn't home, but my sitter and baby were. I answered the ring and told him off the bat that there was a sign of no soliciting. His response "I get that, but we're going to be on your street tomorrow." He proceeded to question me on if I have insects in my home, etc. I finally told him i wasn't interested and he continued to question me, trying to get information out of me. Lastly, he asked for my name and I told him he didn't need it and to have a good day. He stood at my door a few more seconds then walked away. This kid needs to learn professionalism. I spoke with my neighbor and she said he was very pushy and insistent. How they have 4 stars on average is truly unbelievable and shady because the number of 1 star reviews is more accurate of the caliber of business they are. My grandmother, who's in her seventies and a widow, has had Dewey for many years, despite still dealing with roaches consistently, but she is from the old school and a loyal customer and stayed with them until she decided not to. She called MONTHS ago to cancel and dealt with a tremendously rude woman who told her that in order to simply cancel she would have to essentially draft some type of declaration and send it either in the mail or text? How does that make sense? She did send a letter and Dewey has been to her home 3 more times and is continuing to charge her because the guy will say, "well I'm already here and you've already paid, do you want me to just spray one last time" and then magically her billing cycle resumes. It's CRIMINAL!! They have to know that. It infuriates me that they think they can take advantage of her as if she is senile or passive. Horrible business read more

After using Dewey Pest Control (Ontario, CA Office) for over 12 years, I moved into a new service area handled by the Colton Office. Hoping for the same great service, I was completely let down. I started the service, having moved into an empty home, in November 2012. My initial technician was great, but he was changed out after the 2nd service. Since then, my technicians changed every couple of service cycles. The trouble really started in the summer of 2013, when ants started taking over my upstairs bathrooms, even though there wasn't any food in the affected areas. A technician was dispatched and problem appeared to be corrected. However, the following summer (this last summer), the ants reappeared upstairs; even though there were no ants downstairs. A technician was sent to my home for a mid-cycle interior service, however I was told that I could not stay in the home during the service. I was uneasy about this, as this requires me to leave a stranger in my home without any supervision; but I wanted the ants gone so I allowed the technician to service the interior unaccompanied. A couple of weeks after the interior service, I returned home on a Friday night only to find a 2" wide trail of ants in my upstairs bathroom (where the technician allegedly serviced only a couple of weeks prior). I called the office to get a technician dispatched and was sent to an answering service. While it was good to talk to a live person, they let me know that I would not hear back from anyone until the upcoming Monday. With that, I promptly ended my service agreement with Dewey. After receiving a phone call from Dewey that Monday, I was informed that they were still going to charge for the service that they "provided" in August. I reminded them that they had to come out and do an interior service shortly after the service they allegedly provided, because ants were still coming into my home. Also, based on the fact that ants still came into the same area they supposedly serviced, it's most likely the technician didn't service the interior at all. Considering that this office refuses to stand behind their quality, I cannot recommend this office to anyone. Use at your own risk. read more

Be careful when signing anything with this company! I was lied to in order to get service, and was told after 3 payments, or 6 months of service, I could cancel at any time. I was told I needed to get service because they were running a neighborhood special, and if I didn't get services, the insects would all come to my house! I told them I was only renting, and didn't want to sign for long term services, as my lease would expire in March. When I told them I needed to cancel my last month of service because we were moving, they told me I would have to pay an early termination fee of 170.00, plus the last two months of services. I tried speaking to the manger Dominic, but he kept talking over me, and saying "Read your contract"! I asked for a corporate number and was told no, and "Good luck with finding it". When I finally found the corporate number, I was told I needed to finish the contract. I will finish the contract, but new tenants will get the last month of service! I will never use Dewey again, and advise all to beware of the terrible customer services! read more

Dewey came knocking on my door, it so happened that I was in the market for a pest control Co. Their prices seemed reasonable, so I hired them. I called them before the first visit, to change my Credit card on file. But they still went ahead and deducted the wrong account. I spoke to them 4 times concerning this issue, and every time, I was told they would fix it. Well, it's been almost 3 weeks and still not fixed. Not only that, I still have Ants all over the place.
