I signed up with this company because I had a mosquito problem. I was told that they would absolutely take care of it within a month or two. After one year I still had a miserable mosquito issue. They said that I would need to add a new bucket service which would add up to another $89 dollars over and above the $89 per month I was already paying. They are definitely not worth the money they are asking and I also started seeing ants in my home so I opted out of the service. read more

When Orkin came to my house they explained about one half of what their one year contract involves. The explained the part about being notified by email and text. They explained the part about paying every month. They didn't explain that you pay them every month but they only come every other month, which results in a charge of almost $100 per service. That's ridiculous. Furthermore, when I called to cancel some patronizing jerk says, "you signed a year contract, are you saying you aren't going to uphold it?" I said, "are you?" You know they shove that contract in your face and don't allow you sufficient time to read it - and when you do they say, "you're not really going to read that, are you?" Orkin is a well oiled machine. Try a smaller, local company that cares about it's customers instead of only money. I'll live out my contract but I will never use Orkin again and I'm making a personal commitment to let as many people as I can know that I was treated like a number instead of a person. read more

The worst company ever! We had them come out to our home to treat for all insects inside and out. The first few visits were nice then they switched guys and then I never seen a guy again unless i called. They claimed they came every month and kept running my card for over 2 years. I finally called and canceled my service with them and canceled my card with the bank to stop the charges, then they proceeded to blow my phone up day and night for a monty or 2 to collect the final $190. I finally made arrangements with them to process my new card for that following Friday (4 days later) and they agreed. They then ran the card and took the $190 after hanging up then attempted to do it again the next day, all without my authorization. Beware! When I paid the bill and cancelled the service I told them it was due to them not showing up. Their response was, we will look into it. Ants had infested the whole back of my house. I called Orkin and they sent someone out the next day. I believe his name was Alan and so incredibly nice. I am so pleased the ants are gone and this was not toxic for my dogs, my biggest concern. He even searched for a wasp's nest as there were several in my backyard but he didn't find one. 'Tis the season for them. I have been recommending this company since last weekend. It's hard finding a Green Exterminator and I stand behind Orkin. read more

Beware of this company they will bill you for services not performed. Tried to plead with customer service that service was not performed and they came back saying they have gps on trucks and traced the truck to my address. After saying i had text the tech when he got to my address to not perform service this specific day and also my security footage to show them, they insisted i was still responsible for services that were not performed. After all of this and going back and forth ( which is sad as the customer ) they said we will charge you half or will send you to collections. At this point we are just paying it to avoid this. If I could put zero stars, I would.. I haven't had a chance to have Orkin in my home yet but the little experience that my family and I have had has been HORRIBLE. My husband called last Thursday 3/4 to schedule a free consultation to inspect for dust mites, carpet beetles, bed bugs, etc. My husband was told that a rep would call him that week to schedule appointment. Myself and 2 children in the house have been experiencing insect bites seems at its peak in the last couple of weeks. My daughter and I suffer from anxiety and depression but my daughter is more severe. Friday 3/5 passed and the entire weekend passed WITH NO CALL FROM ORKIN. Since my husband called on last Thursday 3/4, 2 of my 3 children in the house have been sleeping on an air mattress in the living room. This air mattress actually even has a slow leak. My husband called Orkin on the Monday 3/8 after his first call and was told that his request never got processed and sent to "the branch". So, my husband ended up getting a call MONDAY 3/8 and scheduled for the inspection on Tuesday 3/9 (the next day) between 8am- 12pm. My husband called me at work at 8:37am on Tuesday 3/9 and was TOLD THAT he would need to pay the $95 fee because the inspection included to check for bed bugs. We could not afford that today. We explained that we can pay that tomorrow 3/10 and I asked if there was any way to still get the inspection today after someone at Orkin dropped the ball and never called after 5 days and someone FAILED TO INFORM OF THE $95 FEE! I was told by 2 people that they could not schedule the inspection today without payment, regardless of them dropping the ball and delaying service. My daughter found a bug on her bed last night and had an emotional breakdown. She barely slept and laid out trash bags on her bed. Her only comfort to help her calm down was knowing Orkin was coming in today. THAT DID NOT HAPPEN. We have been in a pandemic. People have not always been working. Not everyone has money sitting in their bank accounts. After the 2 calls I made to Orkon, NO ONE SHOWED ANY COMPASSION for the mistakes their staff made and I feel NO ONE IS TAKING ACCOUNTABILITY for the emotional distress they have caused by the delay in service and lack of information they provided. I have called and filed a complaint to Orkin. I have a friend that has worked for Orkin for many years so that helped us make the decision to call Orkin in the first place. The lack of information and proper service (or lack there of) was probably the worst we have experienced. If this is the way Orkin operates, this is a shame. I wish we had the experience that these people had from the good reviews. Our inspection is now scheduled for tomorrow AFTER payment is received. I hope my daughter does not require further treatment for her anxiety and depression after being triggered by this mishap caused by Orkin. I will take this as high as I can to make sure Orkin knows the inconveniences and distress from delay in care that Orkin has caused. I bought my house in January 2021 after being made aware that it did have termite damage and seeing termite droppings, I decided to call orkin. Matt came to my house and I immediately felt a coldness from him. He did look around and gave me recommendations in which we decided to tent the house and he even stated that his team would go spray every month afterwards. On the day of the tenting, we forgot to bag some food in the freezer and he called very angry and went off on how he told us to bag our food. It was an honest mistake. After the tent came off our house and we came back, we didn't hear a word from orkin nor did anybody come and spray. I called and left messages confused on how to proceed... Until it was time to renew its yearly care... I received dozens of calls and letters informing me of my expiring service... of which I never received. I called Western Pest Control and they seem to get the job done better and have better communication. Thanks for the $2200 tented weekend and nothing else! read more

If i could give a minus star i would. I hired orkin hoping that they would be prof we professional and knowledgable. I had insects in my home and i was getting bitten I called the orkin 1800 number and they sent orkin riverside. Ralph was my technician. It was a nightmare . Ralph was condescending and extremely rude. I was desperate to for help and he made me feel like i was crazy. It came to a head when i found a birds nest and a tick in my fountain. I was so scared because i would get pricked all over my body . Leaving scars . And needed the so called proffessional pest control ti find the insects . My frustration and paint continued for well over 6months. Eventually U decided that it was time to cancel my service so i decided to call the 1800 number. They contacted Orkin Riverside notifying them that i wanted to cancel. Within the hour Ralph and his manager arrived at my home. His manager was worse then Ralph. He was so rude. Blatantly telling me i probably have allergies and asking me if my husband was home so that they could make sure that i wasn't crazy and my husband was also getting bitten. I showed him my furniture and walls that were getting damaged. His excuse was that's the style for the furniture and the walls looks like we damaged the wall. I showed him carpet threads the we coming apart and my scars on my arms. For the carpet he said looks like the vacuum cleaner damaged. For my scars he giggled to Ralph and said it most likely an allergy.. I showed them the dead beetles. They said no beetles are harmless. Then he says we won't be able to work with you because we really can't help you with the problem you have and they both left. I couldn't believe that he was actually saying this. The biting continued and i hired a new pest control service. The technician just arrived, looked around the house and within a few minutes discovered we had a major infestation of carpet beetles. And he explained to me that yes the adult beetles don't bite but there are several stages and the larvae feeds off hair, skin and debris and feels like a pinprick. Don't hire Orkin. You will waste your money they only do the bare minimum and there technicians are not trained. read more

We used Orkin to treat our home for termites. We decided to have our home tented and treated. When receiving the treatment, we were never notified or updated on anything that was going on to our home. We were just told the day the tent would be placed and removed. I was waiting for at least an email or call that inform me when it wss safe to return to my home but that never happened. After I signed the paper and aprroved for them to treat my house, I never heard from the sales rep or anyone. When I return to my house after the tents were taken off I noticed my spot lights had been damaged by Orkins workers and a piece of wood that was attached to the house where my security camer is placed was also broken and ripped off. Orkin promises quailty service but that is a lie. Orkin did property damage to my home and said they are not responsible for the damages. read more

I want to thank the team at Orkin for having me with a completely pest free home after only a short time being with their company. Ryan went to work around our house to seal off entrances that nobody knew about before. Rodents lurk in the area and are very aggressive. However, Ryan's exclusion service was extremely effective. My daughter Flo was mostly the one that interacted with him. She'd tell me how pleasant Ryan was. I also like their nice alerts when they have appointments scheduled, which they send out days ahead. The tech reaches out on their way. These are helpful reminders and it gives somebody a chance to be sure to be at the house. Even before Ryan started the job he was enthusiastic about the project. He put pride into it once he started. He even let me know he's willing to address any areas like the garage, etc., once I make that clear, which is a huge project. I'm being proactive installing better door sweeps and I'm going to replace missing screens for windows. My next project is to do some major hauling around the lot and then, put in automatic garage doors. It's just that I could only take on this little at a time. The first step was bringing Orkin in as the pest control experts. I want to shout out to Frankie because I got a chance to meet him and learned a lot from him while he was also providing excellent services. You could tell he knew what he was talking about and has experience. I just kept going on and on about Ryan, because over numerous visits, he really put in work in the exclusion. I'm appreciative of this company. I also compared their rates with other companies before we hired Orkin. We find that especially based on the quality of work and results, the prices are competitive. We had Orkin for 3 years and our tech Sean was awesome and new his stuff and then they moved Sean and gave us Juan and everything went down hill. Last week we had an aunt problem in our house. He could not figure out to look in the bushes in the front yard to figure out and see where the aunts where going up the pillar of our house and coming into the kitchen . Juan also lies. We had a snail problem for awhile and he was suppose to be treating our front yard for it and he wasn't treating it at all and he lied to my mother about it when she confronted him about. We ended up getting rid of this company and going with Home Team Pest Defense. There Tech Chris came out last week and he was wonderful and found the problem right away and took care of it and we have no more aunts. read more

I am hoping that the 3 moths I have seen recently are not a return visit ;the supervisor, Ron helped me with this problem which involved injecting my walls with something that got rid of them: i had tried all the 'natural methods' and NOTHING worked. For 2 years I have not had a moth (and the original infestation i think was my fault in that I had wool I had not looked at and which ....). But once again ORKIN came to the rescue. read more

I read they were a little more pricey, but sometimes you have to pay a little more to get things done right. Turned out to be a great decision. Orkin came to our home to check for bed bugs. The tech they sent out said that we did not have bedbugs after checking all rooms, mattresses and box springs. The tech sold us on monthly pest control which did not work at all! After paying for multiple doctor visits we were told our bites were from bed bugs We decided to cancel. We had to wait another month to cancel our service that did not work. On our final pest service the tech that came out showed us we did have a bedbug infestation. He explained to us that they should have declined giving us regular pest control and would not service us unless we paid them for removal. Minimum cost is $1400.00 ! I would not trust them to get rid of my bed bugs. The tech promised his manager would contact us to discuss what happened. He even stopped by to ask us if his manager called. We told him no. Terrible customer service by the manager. Bottom line don't waste your time with Orkin for ANY pest service. Trusting a national brand was not a good idea. read more

Do not contract them!!!! All they do come spray the outside for bugs and the technician doesn't even treat the problem you actually contract them for! It would be a waste of your time and money! They don't commit to the time scheduled for service and then they send you a general report telling you they were there. They're quick to charge your account the monthly fee however don't take the time to really treat the problem! I was extremely unhappy even after the first service and had to spend a bunch of time and energy tracking down a district manager to make sure they do what they said they will do when I first signed up! By the third service I was beyond frustrated with their excuses and lack of service! read more

Orkin supposedly has a money back guarantee. It's an empty guarantee and they will try their best to get out of it. I paid them for 2 years to treat a rental property for mice. After taking my money for 2 years and not solving the problem when I asked for the refund they tried to tell me that because I didn't meet with a manager at the property and give them the opportunity to go over the property and have them fix the issue (the issue that i' paid them to fix for 2 years) then I wasn't eleigible for a refund. They exist to collect your money until you agree to pay them for an "exclusion service", which is almost $2000 in which they will then guarantee that they will correct your problem. This, after they have collected their monthly fees from you for a period. Stay away! Use Terminex, who I hired and they actually fixed what Orkin didn't. read more

I am reviewing the Orkin at Riverside California because they are the ones who mail me my bill. However I do not live in Riverside. That being said, the technicians themselves are polite. The problem I have is with the call center personal. My son stayed home today to wait for the technician who was scheduled to come because we have problems with hornets and ants. I called on August 3rd for an EMERGENCY appointment and was told that the earliest appointment wound be August 12th. So much for EMERGENCY! Anyhow, I asked that the technician call me before he came. Having not received a call I called ORKIN. I was told that I had scheduled ny appointment for August 26! I said that wasn't true. My original appointment was a originally scheduled for August 18. If I had an EMERGENCY why would I scheduled for a later date! That call center lady told me she would call my local office. I called myself and that lady tried to convince me that I had rescheduled for August 26! Finally she said the technician had an emergency. Why didn't someone call me? I didn't believe this, because this isn't the first time this has happened to me. They have used this excuse before. Plus why try to convince me that I had rescheduled for August 26? The only thing they are good at is sending the bills. Those are NEVER late. To top it off, she told me the first appointment available was not until the end of the month! I guess they only have one technician! They should fire the cell center people and spend the money hiring more technicians. Because to most people, EMERGENCY doesn't mean we want to wait a month! I asked to cancel my service and I wasn't even offered an apology. If I could give the company less than one star I would. The company doesn't deserve even one star! read more

I used Orkin (Great Falls) to rid my house of bed bugs. They charged $1100 for their service. After their first application I let them know that we were still getting bites and seeing the bedbugs. They did a second application. After 10 days I let them know that we were still seeing the bedbugs. Service expert said it takes up to six months for chemicals to work. He said he is going to help even if the guarantee expires. They claim that they guarantee their service but they don't honor that guarantee. I would not recommend using Orkin based on our experience. read more

Orkin has been Awesome for us. We moved into a home with a serious rodent infestation. They had even chewed through the heating and cooling air ducts! We had insulation hanging from our vents. They found 8 holes around the perimeter of the house that they patched. Then we found nine holes on the roof. A severe infestation! Orkin sent a tech to my house every four days to check traps remove rodents and for new holes. They have been very effective in the exclusion process considering California has ban the use of rat poison. It takes a long time to get rid of them at no fault to Orkin. The area supervisor Bill Buckley came to the house to evaluate the status and gave me a quote for the next process to do the attic decontamination and clean out service. In a community with NO HEALTH DEPARTMENT such as Menifee Ca, and a landlord that don't care tjat we have no heat or cooling until the rats have been excluded and the decontamination happens, orkin has been by our side to give us the support and tools to get through this. Menifee Ca is infested in Rodents! This is the second home we have rented in recent months that had a rodent infestation here. And the second landlord that refuses to make the house habitable violating state laws. Orkin has been a constant support and in 8 weeks we have been able to get the infestation much closer to complete exclusion! All of my daughters use Orkin and have also always had great service from this office of Orkin in Riverside county. Thank you! read more

They tell you to leave at 9 and be gone 4 hours! I came back to check and they still haven't showed and it's now 12:34! I partly blame Waterstone apt management for scheduling this thanksgiving week. I called to have my apt done first as it's my sons birthday and I just saw the men in the back Apts. They have poor reviews because they come when they want and not concerned for customers. It's cost me time and money to prepare and lost hours at work. Also they don't cure the bug problem at all! I did my own research and ended up buying liquid traps and now use them every 3 months and have rarely ever seen any live ones as long as I buy them every 3 months. I've gotten conflicting information from every representative I've spoken to, and because of this, we were charged when we shouldn't have been and they refuse to reverse the charges. Atrocious customer service. Sent someone out on 3/30 and again on 4/1. Billed me for both days. I called to get credit for the 4/1 billing and switched to quarterly service (from monthly).. They took care of the double service/billing on the phone, then to my surprise, I received a bill in the mail for the 4/1 service. I called again and they supposedly removed the 4/1 billing. I checked on the next service date, since I had switched to quarterly and they said someone would be out on 5/6. I told them not to send anyone since quarterly doesn't mean 36 days later. The customer service rep said she'd refer it to the manager. Of course, nothing was done so today, the doorbell rings and it's the Orkin guy again. My wife sent him home and said not to provide service since we had switched to quarterly. Orkin has become a huge pest, so I dealt with them like I would with any pest, I terminated them, effective immediately. read more
