I have 4 properties under contract w Orkin. They never show up for scheduled appointments, but they send emails saying they've arrived. when you call corporate, they say the appointment was canceled & you have to talk to the local branch. The local branch doesn't answer their phone or respond to emails. They have me on autopay, take my payments on schedule, then send me a past due notice. Orkin is nothing but a scam! read more

I waited on hold to make an appointment for 10 minutes then was disconnected and had to call back and had to wait another 10 minutes on hold... Then they called to cancel my appointment. I have been on hold for 20 minutes now trying to reschedule. I am going to find another company that actually respects their customers. read more

Absolute waste of money, they didn't get rid of the infestation. And I'm told I cannot cancel the 1 year "locked in" rate which is beyond ridiculous! I am moving to a new home I'm purchasing and cannot even cancel my services with Orkin which last another 6-7 months in the apartment I'll no longer be renting! Horrible experience and company! read more

Such a scam!!! Do not use!! I paid $200 for what I thought was a one time visit and a free follow up only to be charged an additional three times ($45each) because apparently I was on a monthly plan. When I called customer service to dispute an additional charge and what exactly I was paying for since I only had two visits, they kept saying it was because I was on a monthly plan and never answered my questions. When I asked to speak to a manager, she said there wasn't one available and would call me back in 72 hours which is absolutely insane. I'm waiting for that call back. Their website also makes its impossible to cancel service and subscriptions! Such a shameful way to run a business! read more

called and made an appointment over the phone, while the lady was nice and the appointment was set. it was a no show ,after calling back was on hold for so long i just decided to go with another company. dont waste your time with these folks. i did however get a text asking how the service was....... read more

The worst. A man and a woman came to treat an ant problem, told our daughter the ants would be gone in 2 days, no infestation, no problem, they said. Not only were they not gone in 2 days, not a week, not 3 weeks...THEN we were told they couldn't come back to do a second treatment (since they lied about the first treatment taking care of the problem within 2 days...) for another month. Meanwhile, our daughter has to live with ants in every room. It's like they weren't even there to do anything! Orkin has got to be the worst! My advice would be to find a small, hardworking, company who will do the job right. read more

Casey Blair did a great job and we'd suggest Orkin to all our associates and friends. Thanks!

I need a repair on a over $2000 rodent safety metal railing placed around my house and to no avail every call I made was told someone would come out and fix the project they set up around my property and they never showed up. Worst company and already to my family and friends to never use them. Complaining to the better business bureau and consumer affairs. Also their billing practices are not correct. read more

My wife and I were told upon initial the yellow jacket nest would be removed and a very intense treatment. The guy wasn't here for more than 30 minutes. The nest was not removed but we were told he'd coming back the next day to remove it. He did not come back. Yesterday I got an email saying someone is coming to look between 4-6pm. The ticket the call center sent me after I had to ask for it says he was here from 3:08-3:18pm. I'm disgusted with these services and will NEVER use you or recommend you to anyone. $321 for what we've been doing all summer long is ABSURD! read more

If I could give a 0 star I would. They are consistently late n their 2 he window, not by a few minutes but a few hrs. When calling to get an ETA, the staff is very rude (856) area. Apparently they overbook whereas the technicians cannot get to customers within the window provided. Do Not Use This Service! read more

When first signing up the customer service was excellent. All problem resolved and they got rid of the bugs immediately. I paid a monthly fee for service every other month. After almost 2 years I needed to cancel. Now the customer service changed. Its impossible to break up with them. They continue to charge me every month even though no servuce was done for 3 months. The continue booking servuce dates even though I cancelled. Insist they provided servuce when i am positive i had no exterminator come to my home. When complain say no manager is available and if i dont like it then they hang up. read more

As far as quality goes, Orkin does a pretty good job. They fixed my bug problem for which I am grateful. But Holy cow are they difficult to work with when it comes to scheduling. I work, so I need a shorter window for my appointments. Do you think they can accommodate that? Nope. Bad customer service. read more

Terrible phone customer service. Every advisor has different responses to simple questions. I canceled my subscription and will not be using them in the future. The service provided at the house was good. The review is based off the phone service alone. read more

Awful service and techs. They did not do their job at all and left me with the same problem after over a year with them. They had the guts to ask for more money- the last payment after I cancelled due to being absolutely unsatisfied with their treatment. Horrible company. Avoid and go with terminex or somewhere else!!! read more

First they always send a sales person out. The good news was we saw a bed bug and we're absolutely horrified. They came out the next day or the day after and this was Christmas week. However the sales guy really is supposed to be a consultant and do a thorough review of the house which he did not do he said we destroyed the crime scene by lifting up the bed and taking off the sheets. Had he looked closer he would have seen other things that we picked up later. The actual guy who came out to do the actual work and has been doing it for 15 plus years with phenomenal. I walked him through the house we had followed the sheet that told us what to prepare and they were in at 10:30 a.m. and out by 2:30 p.m. which was half the time that they originally anticipated. The good news was they really didn't find much at all the bad news was I was getting charged for a full 8 to 10 hours. However I talked to Shelly in the office and told her the story and they were able to knock 20% off the price which was below what I was actually going to ask for so all in all I know the service was done really well the sales consultant part was a waste of time and the back office and owner really came through with the price. read more

This is without a doubt the worst customer service I have experienced in my entire life. Everything was going good from October until May. Then in July, they didn't show up. I put a message in to the system and heard nothing back. They were then supposed to come in August for the missed appointment. Once again did not come. I started getting a little concerned. So I put another ticket in and got a new appointment for October 8th. Once again did not show up. All the while, we've been charged. Total charges of $260 now for no service. So I called corporate customer service and they were very nice. The person on the phone yesterday heard our situation and concurred with us that something was not right based off the "service notes". He said he would escalate the situation and we would get a call back. Sure enough, we got a call back from the local office. We explained our situation to the office and they said we were wrong because the GPS tracking shows their tech was there. I tried to explain that we have I work from home and have a ring doorbell I check whenever someone comes on the porch because of the area we live in philadelphia. He proceeded to say I was lying. I told him how rude he was being and he hung up the phone. I called corporate and they again agreed that something was not right and admitted that GPS tracking does not prove that work was done. Corporate is still working on it and has been very helpful and pleasant but I wanted everyone to know to stay away from this office. read more

They continually came out and charged us for services we did not want or need. The Ant issue we had was not taken care of they just kept spraying for Mosquitoes. I had called and said we need services for ants. they would send them out. but then bill on top of our contract for other services we did not want. I canceled the policy and they are still billing us for services we already paid for. When you call and ask for them to pull calls from previous conversations they don't have the old calls they only save calls for short periods of times. The technicians were friendly however they wouldnt have the correct information. complete waste of money. read more

They cancelled on us within the timeframe of our scheduled service after we went through the trouble of cleaning every inch of our house the night before, making different work arrangements, and boarding our pet today in preparation of a flea treatment. Explanation was that the tech "called out". I understand this happens, but because they didn't staff appropriately, this tech's personal issues have become our problem. They also scheduled a termite inspection today which is rendered by a different tech and they said wasn't cancelled as of this morning, but just now called me back now to say he also is cancelling and "could come tomorrow" with no explanation besides he is just doesn't have the time anymore today. Unbelievable disregard for our time and effort we had to go through on our end read more

I was sold something over the phone that was completely different than what I received. The technician and the office employee who did the scheduling told me I would get two treatments, 30 days apart, regardless if my ant problem still existed. At the 30 day mark I tried calling the technician and office to schedule. Finally got a hold of someone in customer service to inquire about scheduling the 2nd visit, and i was told my 30 days was up and the 2nd treatment acted as a "warranty" in case the first treatment didn't do the job. We paid the price of two treatments in one. Then they tried to get me enrolled in a quarterly visit. Lesson learned. Stick with small business, corporate companies will always piss on your back and tell you it's raining. read more

So about a year ago I was employed at the Bensalem PA branch. Getting ready for work, made me really excited because I knew that "Orkin had a good reputation for training their employees", so I thought ? I was hired by a man named Lance Brookes. When speaking to this gentleman I knew he had know idea about pest control Or the business at all ? I always wondered, how can you be the general manager of a pest control branch and not know a thing about pest control ? So as I continue working in this dysfunctional place, as soon to realize no one knows what the hell is going on? After about two weeks there, I realize that I am not going to get proper training at all and it's time to move on from Orkin especially this branch! read more

During the summer of last year, I paid over 1000$ for their services for termites. The contractor told me they would do a second treatment if I saw termites again. A few months ago I did. I called them to schedule a treatment, but they said I could not get another treatment because they had to see termites in this house. For clarification, they said nothing about this when I was about to sign the contract. I even showed the inspector pictures of termites in my yard. Practically a scam. Nothing in the contract says that in order for me to get another treatment I have to show termites IN my home read more

They never check our termite pods even though we pay 1000 a year for termite services, also they only show up to spray for mosquitoes when its raining so its no good , they spray the inside of the home and we still have bugs in our house they are ripping people off by charging you a month ahead of your service to where there competitors make you pay after completing the job . Customer service is non existent they put you on hold for hours to hang up on you . read more

Do not use this company. If I could give zero stars I would. I was sold something over the phone that was completely different than what I received. I was told my entire home would be inspected for cracks and treated to prevent any further bugs from getting in. I was then told they would treat any problem areas with bugs getting in especially since I knew of some. All that happened was a technician came and sprayed around the house. No looking for cracks no treatment of areas with a known problem. Nothing. He then also informed me that he just did the same service at a house pervious to ours for HALF the price. I have been calling for over a week now to get this resolved as I was lied to about what I would receive and grossly overcharged. No one will contact me back or take my message. To make it better the problem area with carpet Beatles is STILL a problem it isn't even fixed. Do not waste your money. Do not use!!!! read more

Please stay away from this scam, they will not deliver good service, but they will charge you real good amount every month. I experienced very bad customer care from the Philadelphia region and they charge me for never delivering treatment. read more

I would've love to give zero stars, but it won't allow it. I called and set up an appointment with this Orkin branch. "Technician" was scheduled to come here between 12 & 2. 2:20 I called and was told they tried to contact him and his phone went directly to voicemail. He must be on the way. 3:30 I call again. Again the technician is called and no answer! I called back at 4:30 to see what to expect. Another phone call to the technician hours unanswered! I asked to have a supervisor call me. No response from anyone! I finally called back the next day and was told I could be rescheduled the following day! Very unprofessional business and will NEVER call again! I waited for them to come out and perform their service. No one showed up so I called. They proceeded to tell me that they called and left a voicemail message about them canceling the visit. Do not waste your time or money. They give you a 4 hour window on the time they will show up. For us it was always 8am-12pm. Every single time (and we gave them three separate chances) they never showed up during the allotted time and showed up 2-4 hours after the allotted time. They also lock you into a yearly contract and it was the hardest thing to get out of. I'm only going to use a local business from now on because they will be more considerate of our time and money! read more

I have given this branch multiple opportunities to get their act together - they work hard to make sure they fail. I used to have 3 properties under contract with them. It was frustrating because they could not keep a time even within their window of time. I always asked them to ask the tech to give me a call before he came - rarely happened. I canceled 2 contracts, and kept one: there are times when a tech would come and not have enough bait, frequently late, not show up and keep me waiting at a property in Philly for 2 hours, etc. The kicker was the last one: a) for the tech to get into the Apt he'll either have to call or ring the doorbell. On this occasion he did neither and wrote on the Report 'sprayed perimeter...' because no one answered. The tenant was actually outside the porch and no one had come; I didn't receive a call either! b) so I called the Office and they offered to reschedule. I requested the 1st appt, which they gave. On the day of the appt, I wait 2 hrs without hearing anything about a delay so I call the Main Office # and they tell me that they are getting in touch with the tech 'and he will contact me shortly'. Guess what? You're right! It didn't happen. When people lie, they should be a little smarter: I was later told "after his first appt, his truck died ... he's trying to get it fixed and he'll come as soon as that is done!" The lie? Mine was the 1st appt! There are other honorable outfits who do a better job, are people of integrity, and do not scam like this Branch does. read more

Stay away! This group will take your money and either they don't have the ability to live up to the terms of their agreement or just don't want to. I then called again at 630 (cause surprise surprise NO ONE SHOWED UP) and was told my branch closed at 5 and the rep assured me this never happens must have been a miscommunication, she told me she'd send a message to the branch and someone would reach out to me.....I won't hold my breath. read more

Terrible. they sprayed and the bugs remained. they clearly said they'd come back free of charge between visits if the bug problems wasn't fixed. It wasn't and they tried to change the deal when I called back. They said they only come on the months in between visits. I asked to speak to a manager and the recording on hold clearly said they'd come back for free if there was still a problem -- no mention of "in between months." They are ineffective and scammers. Never give this company your money or business. read more

When we first contracted with Orkin we were completely satisfied, reason was the technician, he was great. However, since he was moved to another area the technicians have been fair to poor. We are expecting a tech today if we are as unsatisfied as we have been, I'm going to change companies. I really hope someone from orkin reads this review and they learn that if a technician is not trained properly and are not committed to doing a good job they will continue to loose business. The last guy we had barely treated the house, if comes back we will cancel our service. read more

My daughter in law called and set up service for today between 12- 2pm. Supposed to get a call before tech. Arrives. 3:00pm and no call. Tried to call the local office. Web site says open. If I could leave a 0 I would. I contacted Orkin a week and a half ago as I needed their services. I was told by the call center- ' they'll call you back and schedule you' . Never happened. I call back after 2 days and the call center says: so sorry , the Bensalem office should have called. They set up a time for a service man to come out and check out our issue on Thursday - 4 - 7p. So- what happens? : a no show or calI . Sat here waiting for 3 hours. I call at 7 and customer call center says : so sorry wel'll send them an email'. I call again on Friday- 'so sorry Mrs dunlap ' and they connect me directly to the Bensalem office. Speak to a nice lady who ASSSURES ME that this rarely happens and rescheduled me for today 4-7p. Of course - NO ONE SHOWS, NO CALL. DISGRACEFUL SERVICE. I'm actually hoping that maybe someone in this office will read this and CONTACT ME LIKE THEY SAY THEY WILL' Maybe they're so successful at that office that they don't need any more business so maybe the public should go somewhere else for their pest control concerns.
