Do not use them!!! I have a fly infestation in the house and they continue to tell me the problem originates from outside the house. Now I'm being asked to pay more money to resolve the issue. AVOID AVOID AVOID. read more

First time ever writing a review. Customer since 2018. Hired service to address issues of specifically carpenter bees and other general insect pests. Spoke with technicians multiple times about problem but informed that hard to eradicate but informed they will provide service. Had recent service 2 weeks ago and spoke with tech but still problem. Called Aptive for retreatment and now told that company does not treat problem and has been policy for years. When were they going to tell me? What have I been paying for year after year. Deceptive company practice, completely unethical. 0 Stars(forced to give minimal rating) Would give negative if possible for years of futile costly payments. So far, everything went very well! The worker arrived promptly, listened attentively to the circumstances at hand that needed to be addressed. He was very respectful to word my entire family, and was concerned, even about the cat and safety. He provided the service request requested and went above and beyond to ensure the problem was thoroughly addressed. The value was definitely a bang for the bucks. The service requested was rendered and subsequent visits will be scheduled as necessary. My family and I are very thankful and pleased. read more

We signed on for every three month's service but they were coming much more often than we agreed and doing very little whne they did come. They are true scam ! read more

I was sitting in my back porch relaxing and a salesman came up to the porch and tried to sell me service. Told him no. Way too persistent. Then at 9pm a few days later I answered a knock on my front door and it was another sales person again rudely trying to sell me services. Maybe should take a look at the soliciting ordinance in a town before you start annoying people. I would not use this company if they were free. read more

When I signed Up It was for the summer only however they continued to come out every month. They sent me a rede and email claiming they serviced my property on 1/13 howevee that is imposible as my dog was in the yard. Upon closer review my cameras the worker never entered my back yard but they charged me. rhis leads mw to believe there are many instances they are claiming to come out but not doing the Job and frauduently billing. Please think twice before using this company read more

Dan came out and put rat traps out and also sprayed for bugs. He was very nice and told me what should happen. I am hoping to get rid of the rats, so far the traps are empty. It may be a long process. read more

Service is very unreliable. They don't respond to calls or online messages. Very frustrating for the overpriced service. Can't wait for the service to be done. Absolutely a waste of your hard earned money. Please avoid them read more

I was in a quarterly plan with this company for quite sometime paying $185 per quarter. I don't have any complaints about their technicians who were all very nice. My issue started when one of their salesmen came to my door & mislead me into signing up for their mosquito treatment add on, which he told me would only add an additional $10 to my bill.. so I agreed to the service. Suddenly I was shocked to realize when looking through my credit card statements, that they started charging me $196 per MONTH since July! That's a lot more than an extra $10 each quarter! Then when I called to complain, they refused to issue me a refund for those charges, so I cancelled. Now they lost a loyal long time customer... and unfortunately I'm also like $800 poorer. Not a loss I can easily afford. I definitely do not recommend this company and their shady sales tactics. This was a lesson for me to make sure to always read the fine print & not believe the words some salesperson tells me. read more

This is a sham outfit. We had asked numerous time to cancel this account. We have told techs not to come to our home any more. We told them we will call the police as they are trespassing. They still come. We were told we would be charged a fee to cancel an account that we never signed up for in the first place. Stay away from this company at all costs. read more

Was just hung up on by a salesman who couldn't answer what was in their products. He mentioned they use " many products" and don't receive training on this. I was still considering a consultation and said i had to call my husband to see if we can have a person come out today or tomorrow and he said he'll hold. When i asked if i could just call back, he hung up. Unprofessional! read more

The lack of service at this company is unmatched. I had an appointment scheduled for 6/28 3p- 7p. By 7p no one called or showed up. I called the company and was told he was running late. At 9pm I called the company and was told he ran out of time - no call from Aptive. I was rescheduled to 6/29 1p- 5p. By 5p no one came or called so I called Aptive to find out he had finished for the day and would not be coming out. I would not recommend to anyone - completely unreliable. It is unfortunate that I cannot give them 0 stars. read more

Extremely pushy and aggressive salesman. Does not know how to take "no," and kept asking why the answer was no. The answer is no and the reason is none of your business! Had to shut the door on them to get away. read more

Aggressive and violate "No Soliciting" signs. Had to say no repeatedly. Gave a strong con artist speech vibe. Needs a lesson on consent, no means no, especially when there is a sign that says no. Reading is fundamental. read more

Pushy salesman, would not take no. I ended up signing up, only to cancel the next day

Horrible predatory solicitors who go door to door ignoring no trespassing and no soliciting signs. Literally called the police because he would not leave. Lying and pretending he was part of our community to get me to open the door. Very obnoxious and rude and laughed at me and my Mother when we asked him to leave and asked if he could read all our signs. I have read SO many horrible reviews about the company not doing what they need to do to control pests and lock you into an expensive contract as well. They must be having no luck getting customers since they have to terrorize people!! Go with literally anyone else for your pest control, these people are PESTS! BEWARE!!! BAD BUSINESS!!!! read more

Shame on me. Lesson learned. Pushy sales. Mislead tactics. How bad can it be? The $199 to break the contract was worth it. This time I got 20 mins notice that they were coming. Brushed some shit away from door and sprayed front of town home. Couldn't get in the back gate. $168 charge. That was the 4th one in 4 months. I was told two initial then one a quarter. Not to mention the one guy sprayed my dog in the face with the spray while trying to get in fence. Please be careful. You are better off supporting local. read more

Rude, aggressive, pushy salesman came to our door although the community has a no soliciting sign. Kept my wife outside the door for close to 25 minutes practically begging her to sign an agreement. He also begged for a positive review. Hmmm wonder why?! He couldn't understand the words not interested, have to talk it over with my husband, it's getting hot and I need to go in etc. thankfully I have a Ring camera and witnessed the entire event. If this individual comes back to our neighborhood I will have him arrested for trespassing. The other negative reviews are dead on. IF YOU SEE ANYONE wearing The APTIVE logo do not answer the door. If you have a no soliciting sign call the police. read more

Avoid this company. Pushy, unprofessional, and most importantly they don't really do much in the way of controlling pests which is supposed to be their specialty. The bugs in my front yard and around my home are so plentiful that I opt not to use my porch light so I'm not covered in bugs when I enter my home. I don't want to bother contacting them to spray again because I know that what they use is pretty useless; no better than what you can buy at Lowe's or Home Depot. Save your money and do NOT deal with this company. I also had a representative of this company pull my personal cell number from my contract and text me without telling me who he was, which was super creepy and alarming. I finally managed to get him to admit who he was and vowed to never contact me or any other customers again. Seriously, train your employees not to harass customers. I was ALARMED for hours and was surrounded by people telling me to get this kid fired. I blame the company for not educating their employees on the seriousness of such violations. read more

Young Aptive sales guy just left my house... he would not take no for an answer, kept trying to sell... very pushy. Unreliable with an attitude when you call. They don't always show up and tell you that you canceled service. Very unprofessional. You sign a contract with fees if you decide not to continue with them. Live and learn. Go with someone else. read more

After meeting one of the sales reps. and going over what they cover I asked for the service on a ipad. I asked that the tech do the treatment, but I wanted to know if there were any pests at all. After the tech went to my property they did their service and removed some spider webs. In the note from the tech there was nothing specific indicated to be a pest on my property. A month later they want to go back to my property and do the same thing. I ask a Jennifer Gerber to stop the general service becasue I was not informed of any pest on my property(why get an exterminator for nothing???) Jennifer informed me that if I cancelled the service I would be charged $199 and is now threatening to send it to collections if i do not pay. Point blank this company gets you by saying they will inspect for and treat your property for pest ( I am sure they do a good job at this and would remove any pest). But when there are no pests to confirm they want to keep charging you to treat your property when there is no need to proceed. read more

I have used Aptive since 2017. The first couple of years were fine but over the past year-two I haven't been able to get the same service with a simple phone call or text 30 minutes in advance. I have two big dogs that are outside often and for the safety of Aptive and for my own liability, I have asked continually to get this notice. I have spoken to various managers and keep getting promises that this will happen and that it is in fact standard practice, but it never happens. I was serviced yesterday and again, no advance notice so I could bring my pets in. I have had an ongoing ant issue that I had to resolve with other means aside from Aptive as well. They offered to come inside, but because of their history of not giving notice, I couldn't use them. Hate to see them go, but there are other options in my area that I hope can make a simple phone call or text in advance of service. read more

We had this service for silverfish and they couldn't get it under control. First Intial visit the women sprayed but had no knowledge of these bugs or where they were coming from. They don't service attic's which I'm pretty sure that's where they are coming from. So the problem I had wouldn't go away they kept spraying but never found the the origin of the problem. So I was paying for a service that wasn't working! They are falling from my ceiling into my bed and haven't been able to sleep in my bedroom for months because of this . It's been a nightmare. Do NOT USE THIS COMPANY they just have people come and spray your home no inspection of it and basically these people have no knowledge they just spray read more

Service pros are very knowledgeable and managers work to resolve any issues. Quick response

Nate was wonderful! He did a great job explaining the process and making sure all of our needs were met. He was very understanding of our concerns and knew exactly what was needed for the pest issues we were having. He even won over our dog who doesn't like anyone! Great work! Definitely recommend working with Nate. read more

Pushy salesmen. Absolutely terrible. Stated no so many times but insisted on coming back. Kept saying no!

0 Stars for Aptive. They are liars. They do not honor their contract. They claim to offer services that they do not. And then they want to charge you $249 to cancel when they do not hold up their end. When you write a complaint on Google, they respond as though they care and ask you to text them, so it looks good on social media... but then they do not respond. Already filed a complaint with the BBB. Beware of their scam. read more

Total scam. They give you the hard sell, show up here and there and spray some stuff. It does nothing. No noticeable difference in the reduction of bugs. I asked them to come by and remove a wasps nest that was near our porch and the guy said he had nothing to kill wasps with. He also said well the nest is kind of high, how would I get to it? What planet are we on, get a ladder! And what kind of pest control can't kill wasps? His suggestion was to wait until the winter and then for me to get up there and remove the nest and seal it off. Absolutely worthless, do not waste your money. read more

Very hard to get them to come back to treat when I'm having trouble with biting bugs. There initial sales pitch was that if you have ANY trouble, just call and they will come out treat. Problem is they are just too busy and cant get to me. I have been bitten on my back, had to go to urgent care for steroids and cream. Once they get you to sign the contract you have no more control. I'm very sorry I got talked into this as I really was hesitant about signing up anyway. read more

The initial visit was fine, infact it was good and seemed thorough. The follow up is where the problem has started. They made numerous appointments and do not provide a time of day nor any evidence that they were there. They do however know how to bill you for service. On 3 occasions they scheduled and they canceled or more accurately let us know the appointment was rescheduled. They initially said we were the ones that rescheduled. So with no evidence of service they billed and yet still rescheduled then cancelled again. The customer service person said his guy was at our door yesterday and no one answered. However we also received an email earlier in the day, stating that appointment was also rescheduled. When confronted with that information he changed his mind, but was certain we were serviced the previous week. In summary, they are reasonably priced, however the customer service and scheduling is a joke. read more

One star is too much. They are Liars!!! Asked a questions about the service guarantee and was told by Dominic Thoma, salesman, that if there are bugs we could cancel without the penalty. That was a lie!!! Spoke to customer service who wanted to argue that I should have read the contract instead of taking the word of their representative. Will say anything to sell their service which does not work!!! read more
