If I could put half a star I would. Rich, the service technician (and owner's son) arrived on time, and that's about the only thing that went right. He was abrupt with me when I met him at my front door and while he was on his cell phone with his child and said to me, "Wait a minute," then continued his discussion with this child. There was no, "Hello sir, excuse me for a minute while I finish this call, thank you." It was as if I were knocking on his door and interrupting him during an important call. Then, and quite shockingly, then next words out of his mouth when he steps inside my house are "My wife just left me." As if I needed to hear about his personal life at the moment. Trying to be empathetic, I offered my condolences and then he goes on to say, without hesitation, "Oh, it's ok, she was doing all kinds of drugs anyway...." My jaw just about hit the floor. He then proceeded to find something on his cell phone to show me pertaining to his marital issues -- again, as if that's why I asked him over to my house. As he took notice of my annoyance, his demeanor with me changed and he demonstrated a hostile attitude towards me when I was asking him questions about my rodent issue. Finally, when we were in the basement and he identified an access hole where he believed the mouse or mice were entering into the walls of my house, he went towards the hole and within three seconds turned heel and began to walk out stating he would be writing up my invoice. Incredulously I looked at him and then at the access hole and wondered how he could have laid down poison that quickly and thoroughly. And for the grand total of $378 I felt there should have been a greater level of coverage around my house and in the basement. You've been warned....DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! read more

On time and quick in the service required. Very personable. I would recommend easily.

Service was poor. They came June 25th , was very quick. Promise if bugs were still showing in 30 days they would come back out. Life got busy so kept forgetting and end of sending an email July 26th 12:36am in the morning, as it just turned into the 30th day because assume you don't count the first day. No one responded now they want a fee for follow up service. read more

Rich just finished up a service visit to our home in West Mt. Airy, and I couldn't be happier with the work he did. We've had a mouse problem for several months that predictably got worse during the colder months. Rich came in and knew exactly where to look. Patched up some major entry points with copper wire and laid some bait in strategic areas. In and out in less than 30 minutes, and offered to come back if the problems didn't resolve within a few weeks. Also - It's worth mentioning that Rich is the nicest guy. Talked about everything from life to dogs to homeownership as he did his work. He's a good man who loves his job and is good at it. What more can you ask for? We will 100% work with Dynamite for any future pest control needs. read more

Easy to schedule, great service and they offer DIY products at the 52 St location for very affordable prices.

Great services, Great technician he arrived on time was very well mannered and worked at a fashionable time. Amazing outcome

Last week we contacted Dynamite Pest Control to see if they could assist with a carpenter bee issue we were having. We spoke with the receptionist, who was pleasant, and we explained to her that the bees were nesting at our front door and at the top of our home. After providing our address and the receptionist checking with someone on her side, she indicated they could provide the service for $597 plus tax. This price seemed reasonable since they would have to treat the top of our home which would require the ability to get to the roof. On Monday morning, Dynamite showed up to perform the service. The technician treated the porch area at the front door. I went out to see if he needed me to move our vehicles to treat the top of the home. He indicated he did not have a 40' ladder and would not be able to treat that area. I explained that the reason we hired Dynamite was because they could treat both areas of the home. The technician's tone became rude when I questioned why they were unable to treat the roof area, he let me know he was the son of the business' founder, his Mercedes Benz van treats Eagles players' homes, and that he didn't need my money. He asked me what I wanted to pay. I explained that I wanted to pay him fairly for the work that he did and he told me $597 is what he would normally charge to treat the porch area. I asked the technician to give me a few hours to call some other extermination companies to get an idea of what it would cost me to have the roof area serviced so I would know what a fair rate to pay him would be. He continued to be rude and relentless by asking what I wanted to pay since he didn't need my money. In order to de-escalate the situation, I proposed 50% which he agreed to. Overall, this was an unprofessional experience. The technician should have informed us that he could not treat the roof area before starting the porch area. To insist that his rate still would have been $597 for the porch does not align with the other quotes I secured after I paid the $299; other extermination services quoted $250 for the porch area. I would not recommend Dynamite Pest Control for any services. read more

I have a rental property that has problems with mice. Service tech Rich came, had tenants pull out dishwasher & sealed up a hole. Tech placed bait, traps, & said to wait for 2 weeks to follow up. ( This took approx 30 minutes.) Called Dynamite in 2 weeks for follow up. Mice problem worse. Tech came out & placed more bait & traps. Tech was only on 1st floor & basement, but charged for a 3 story home. Tech was there about 20 minutes, told tenant his company was good, & that's why they all drive a Mercedes. We had to get another exterminator company and things have improved immensely. I would not recommend Dynamite. read more

Rach, the company's OWNER, did the worse possible job. I told him the deal was he would exterminate and pick up the dead bugs. He said there are no dead bugs; they disintegrate!!! I'm not a stupid girl. I'm a scientist and they don't disintegrate in 6 hours. Sorry! I found several big dead bugs. At no point did he help me look. He reluctantly picked them up and said over and over again "I'm tired and hungry and I want to go home". PLEASE help me put Dynamite out of business. DO NOT HIRE! (Rach-if you take this review down; I'll just put another one up) read more

PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS CON ARTIST & STAY AWAY!!! The technician who is apparently the owners son, Rich, came out to our home to "exterminate" my roach problem instead bought along with him other pests into my home such mice, which I never had prior to him visiting my home. He uses "switch & bait" tactic on me by stating that I received a "discount" because my house which includes a basement is all part of one house. When the price quoted to me was $189, he charged me $216 for a rushed job that took no more 15 mins. Which by the way after showing up 30 mins late to his appointment without any professionalism on hand to even communicate to me. After his visit next day i called to have him come out as per his warranty to redo the job and he refused to do so and wanted to charge me $436 to visit my house again, when in fact it was part of his service warranty, if I see more roaches to call him. This person I believe is a criminal and should be held liable for his actions in the court of law and bought to justice for all his ill promises and intimidating customers with his word of tone. read more

I honestly can't understand the negative ratings. Dynamite were great, and I'd recommend them to anyone. We had a bug infestation for weeks, and we thought we could fix it on our own. We couldn't. We called Dynamite, they came right away, and fixed it. Rich is a really nice and professional guy, and what he did really worked. I'd recommend them to anyone. read more

Hello consumers. I just wanted to share my experience with dynamite pest control. One thing that I really appreciated was that the young man arrived on time. When the job was over I couldn't even tell that I had an exterminator over. Whatever products they use really works. I've had others exterminators come to my home, but none that did the work like they did. if you're looking for a good exterminator, you may want to try dynamite pest control. They conveniently located in West Philadelphia. read more

Last year I was desperate to find an experienced exterminator. My neighbor had an infestation of German roaches, and they were working their way into my house. I don't do bugs - in case you haven't realized - bugs is a four-letter word! Trying to find an exterminator online can be daunting. I found Dynamite Pest Control and thought 'this is the one'. Before I called, I spoke with a friend who had been a plumber and asked him if he knew of a reputable exterminator. Without hesitation, he replied Dynamite Pest Control. I knew I had a winner. They responded quickly to my call. Rich said how he would approach my problem and gave me options of having him come when needed, or on a monthly schedule. I opted for monthly service - I wanted those critters DEAD! I was amazed at how quickly he wiped the bugs out. Rich is friendly, and checks for any new problems. If you need a quality exterminator, you just found one with Dynamite Pest Control. read more

Last year was the first time I used Dynamite Pest Control. I saw quite a few mice, and needed to do something. Rich from the company came out and treated my single home. I was surprised actually that his services made a difference. He got rid of my mice problem. I was so grateful. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs to get rid of mice. read more

I don't know what kinda flim flam operation is going on here. I was guaranteed that the roach problem would be gone. The technician was in and out within 10 minutes. He didn't spray everywhere. I think if he would have did a thorough job the product may have worked. Don't waste your money. read more

It was okay. the gentleman did inspect the outside of the property. I do wish I was given some kind of repellent that he mentioned. For the price that would've been nice, the gentleman was there for only 5 minutes. I was asked a few personal questions like what I did for work, you have to be careful about asking these things of certain folks. Also, a big reason for the three stars was for the gentleman not having a mask on. read more

very upset with their service they have a 30 day guarantee which they do not follow through on. you are suppose to be able to call them within the 30 days if you still see an issue which and they are suppose to come out and re do it. we did this and they refused to come out and re spray. they were extremely rude on the phone and refused to acknowledge the guarantee which is written on the receipt and was verbally explained to us at the time of purchase. their service did absolutely nothing and in fact I see bigger roaches than I have ever seen before! they were only in my home for about two minutes no way the job was done thoroughly. waste of 189$! read more

Please do not waste your money! Technician came out and was in and out in 15 mins. He did not even go in every room of my house nor did he check the outside. He only went to the areas where I told him I saw mice. After spending $250 I still had mice and had to pay another company to do the job correctly. The new company went through every inch of my home without me having to direct him and even checked the outside for possible entrances and sealed them up. This company is a complete rip off. Unless you want to just throw money away, please do not use them! read more

tldr: do not recommend and will not have them back if I can help it. Our house has mice and our landlord has used Dynamite in the past. They stopped by the first time, patched up a few holes and put down some poison - $300. A week later, we realized that there was a massive hole on the second floor they had completely missed the first time around. We called them back out to fix the issue as there were literally 20 mice in the room at one time, running around. Rich, the technician and owner, was incredibly unhappy to be there, citing a two-week policy. While that might typically work, we were literally unable to sleep from all of the mice running around! During the appointment, Rich verbally harassed me and accused me of being a "bad customer," threatening to "never come back" and "ending the warranty." He shouted at me for 15 minutes!! Absolutely unbelievable - incredibly disrespectful and I cannot comprehend how this type of behavior is at all acceptable. One month later, after the warranty expired, we still have mice. Not going to call them back and going to dissuade all of my friends and college students I know to avoid Rich and Dynamite, lest they also experience the verbal abuse I did. Two stars for being timely and doing their job, sort of. read more

Dynamite pest control is a family owned business who conducts horrible service and are very unprofessional, aggressive and unreliable. I depended on this company to come out for a rat problem and once they were finished we were still left with a rat problem. Rich who came out did a rush job and didn't fill all the holes in my house not to mention cursed my husband out very aggressively and used his name as a threat stating "if I have a fight the cops know who I am and they won't do nothing" looked the owner of my home up and questioned why we are paying as tenants instead of the owner(this is a form of harassment) I give this company a zero out of 5 stars for such poor service had to have another exterminator come out the next day. Use dynamite pest control with caution! read more

Just the worst. They not stand by their work and do not honor their guarantee. We paid them $500 for exactly 45 minutes of work at a rental property. A month later the mice were back and they said it would be another $500 to return. read more

I'm speaking on my sister's behalf, as we live together and went half on the services. Yesterday she observed a mouse. Why is that significant? The Dynamite Pest Control visited our property in December 2015, about 4 months ago. Granted, their guarantee is for 30 days, but they make you wait 2 weeks before you can call them again, and to me that's really not enough time to see if the issue is handled. The treatment of the premises was $200, which is fine. But when my sister explained that he was basically there not even a half an hour when it was first treated, I already had my doubts about thoroughness and whether the issue was resolved. We didn't see a mouse for a few months but I'm not surprised to hear she saw a mouse yesterday. It wouldn't feel so bad if we weren't assessed the whole $200 again to have the business come back out. So $400 in a 4 month period for rodent treatment? No thanks. I'll pass. I support local family businesses, but I just cannot muster that much again when the issue will only be handled about 3 months at a time. read more

I wouldn't trust any other company for my pest control needs! They are always on time and do a thorough job.

Rich was on time, professional, and courteous. Received a call the morning of my appt and when he was 10 mins away. Family run business with very helpful staff. I would highly recommend them for any pest control/ termite/ exterminating needs. read more

I called Dynamite after months of frustration with mice all over the house. Rich was very friendly and informative explaining what he was doing as he worked. The family has been in business for over 40 years and he seemed to know what he was talking about. Should take 2 weeks to get it under control. read more

Good company, been in business a long time, helpful to the community. Highly recommended!

If I could give this business a fraction of a star, I would. One week prior to my extermination appointment, I've been noticing mice droppings in my kitchen. I did my research and Dynamite Pest control was the best on pricing and is in my area. On July 29th, the technician Rich, who is also the owner came out inspected the property and serviced accordingly. He spent nearly 2 hrs here (i'm not sure why it took so long) but after the service he assured me that my issue had been rectified. Unfortunately, it wasn't. I still saw the same amount of mice droppings as I did prior to him servicing the place. Because there is a 30 day guarantee, I called to have him come and reinspect the property. When he came back on August 10th, he informed me that he was doing me a "favor" by coming out although I was still within my 30 day guarantee period. He proceeded to seal a hole that he missed during the first visit and put more poison down. He also bad mouthed other clients to me, one being my next door neighbor, and told me way to much about his personal life. It felt weird because of the unprofessionalism that it displayed but at that point, I just wanted the issue resolved. He reassured me that I wouldn't see mice any longer and the issue had been resolved. After the second visit, I STILL saw mice droppings in the kitchen. I put my OWN poison down and found two dead mice a couple of days after that. I thought I was in the clear until I got back to the country and saw mice droppings in the kitchen on Sunday, August 27th. I called them back to let them know I was still having an issue and to schedule another service call before the 30 day guarantee ended. My appointment was today and I am thoroughly upset that I ever employed this company to begin with. Not only did he have a weird passive/aggressive attitude telling me that "everything doesn't work for everybody" but he tried to play the RACE card which I didn't appreciate WHATSOEVER being a black business owner myself. This service was too expensive to be talked down too and still have the same issues that I had prior to him ever coming out. I never experienced unprofessionalism in this degree where NOTHING WAS RESOLVED. This will be my last time patronizing this business!!! Lastly, the price is better than other companies that I've found, but I would recommend spending the extra money to ensure professional and effective service. read more

Though I was not able to find a solution to the issue, Rich refunded half of the original fee, even though he came to my house 2 times and offered to come a third to look again. He was courteous, prompt and honest with me throughout the process and I would definitely hire again (issue at my house was beyond Dynamite ability because it is a row home connected to another house that is the real problem) read more

Moved to West Philadelphia for grad school recently and had no idea what I was getting myself into by moving into the area. My place had a pretty serious bug issue and Dynamite took care of it. They have a flat rate so it takes the guess work out if which I really appreciated being new to city. I highly recommend the company.. Great customer service! read more
