Not too expensive. Not too late. Not too far from where we were staying. So we purchased our tickets online. The show was great- beautiful views of the seasonal sky, a wonderful narrator- Dr. Jen Fox, and a clean venue with plenty of free parking. They have 4 floors with a wide variety of stations and things to do for the kids. If we didn't have to worry about nap time, we could probably spend the whole day there. If you have a Bank of America card, this museum is part of their Museum on us program- IYKYK. I also like the cafeteria where you can purchase snacks or meals for the kids. I appreciate that they don't police you, if you just use the space to eat your own packed snacks, just clean up after yourself is all they request. There's just so much to do. I would say the only issue we ran into was finding parking, but that's to expected at that side of town. Overall, a must for kids.

This place is AWESOME for our little guy. He loved this entire place and had so much fun. The building is 4 floors but Explore & More really starts on the 2nd floor. The first floor has a lobby and a cafe though which is nice too. The main floor of Explore & More is great. There is a Delta Sonic kid car wash, and so many cool historical Buffalo things like the Erie Canal and interactive boat for them to try out. The next floor has so many interactive things for kids to try and run around on. Everything has great theming for Buffalo and really shows off the hometown pride for the adults who are there with their kids. I'd recommend this place to anyone with kids because they have so much fun. There is something to do for all ages here. Definitely felt like a Buffalo gem.

They had 5 themed exhibits. Our favorites were Area 51 and The Grind House. You are creeped out the moment you enter one of the creepy and scary designed rooms. To add to the fun they have scary characters who will sneak up to you or jump out unexpectedly with the goal to make you scream. We had a fun time checking out each room. In case you didn't know Frightworld is a seasonal event. If you missed it this year, be sure to check it out next year. I included a photo that provides prices.

It was also the start of the annual Borderline Jam which I was unfamiliar with since I'm just getting back into skating again but there were so many incredibly talented skaters it just blew me away! I am just an average rollerblader. I haven't hit a rink in a quarter century until this past week so I can't even remember how to skate backwards but I still go fast and just flying around the rink listening to music on a great sound system with fun lighting was enough to make me happy and get great exercise too! Admission is usually $10 (I had to pay $15 because of the special event). There are skates to rent but I know nothing more as I have my own. There are plenty of lockers and they are a quarter to lock each time (I was busy skating and never opened it again until I left). The key doesn't have a wrist band so make sure you have a pocket or a fanny pack or something to put it in. There is a snack bar with things like pizza, pizza logs, nachos, popcorn, etc. at a fair price. There are also some alcoholic beverages! There's also vending machines with plenty of snacks and drinks. There is an arcade too which I wanted to play but unfortunately almost every game was turned off and no one at the ticket counter - im not sure if it is like that every adult night or just due to the special event but I wanted to play some games! Staff was friendly but so were the people! Everyone that came up to me was just genuinely being nice and inclusive and not being a creep. That really made me feel happy and excited to come back. What I love the most was all shapes sizes ages colors genders styles and skill sets all harmonized as one. Everyone was really enjoying themselves, getting along nicely, if someone is coming around you fast they will make a noise so you know or they may gently touch you for a moment so you know they rounding you so no one falls. It was really a nice venue with wonderful people where you can feel safe and free from all of the silly arguments you see on social media, or rudeness you see out in the wild quite often. Whether your 80 years old and still able to fly around the rink, younger and full of dance moves on skates that make heads turn, average like me, or just starting out and need some help .. and people there will be happy to help you ... this is the place to be! The ticket includes ten tasting tickets but the booths don't ask for tickets anyways so basically it's just unlimited tastings. So you get to drink beer all night and explore the museum without kids clogging up all the exhibits. A lot of the interactive exhibits are aimed for kids but honestly we have a blast with them anyways. The saltans of swig also have a taste test on the 3rd floor which is pretty fun. 10/10 would recommend

I've driven by Bidwell park for years on Tuesday's with the distant thought that "next week," will be the week that I stop in. Well, next week came and I had deja vu. Will I ever make it here? Well, I finally did! And it was great! Very casual and mixed event in terms of age groups. Families, couples; definitely an awesome all ages endeavor. The music is hit or miss, but if you sit far enough back (near Elmwood), it's not too loud and you're good to socialize. If you're there for the music, you can go further East. There's usually a few food trucks here for the event, which is great for food. There was also an Ethiopian food stand from The West Side Bazaar, which was delicious and fairly priced. My only suggestion? ICE CREAM. Maybe I missed it, but ice cream would truly make this a perfect summer event.

During COVID-19, StudioHue is offering a scaled back version of what crafts they offer, and is making home deliveries (within a 15 mile radius of their location on Broadway in the City of Buffalo) to provide you with some creativity during this time of staying home. The craft kits include everything you need. I went with the dog string art. I received the piece of wood, which had a hanging apparatus attached to it, a sponge paint brush, some paint, the color I chose, nails, and four things of embroidery floss, or the 3 colors that I chose when I ordered the product. This specific kit was $30 and was delivered to me on a Sunday morning. When I received the product Sunday morning, I also got a text message signaling to me that the delivery had been made. I painted the wooden board for my project in about 5 minutes, and let that dry. I then crafted the project in about 2 hours time five days after receiving the project, and the paint was still good to go. I highly recommend them to keep you sane and provide a little creative outlet.
