Now for the food when trying a new restaurant that serves pizza and wings! You start with the basics pepperoni pizza Sicilian style and mild "buffalo " wings ( as a Buffalo WNY guy I hesitate to call them Buffalo wings) The pizza was doughy and the cheese pull was great ! The wings were sauced and tossed perfectly with a house made mild sauce that had a tang but not too much served with house made ranch that wasn't even needed because the sauce was perfect! I am sad only to the fact I passed by this place over a 1000 times in the last 12 years and I just discovered it! This place is exceptional!

Lots of reviews here about customer service .. they seemed confused when I walked in and asked what I wanted. Maybe most folks who walk in are there for pick up orders? Not sure. Living in Sewickley, even mediocre pizza that doesn't cost an arm and a leg is hard to find. It's incredible that the best tasting pie costs 17 bucks (Mambo) and can barely feed 1 person. So, we have to look outside the Sewickley bubble for Pizza options and last night I decided to give Cardello's a shot. I ordered online through their website (Slice) which was very simple and user friendly. I got a subsequent text as soon as my order was ready. I got the Chicago-Style deep-dish with Pepperoni. It was honestly the best pizza I've had in a long time. The key to a great pie for me is that the whole thing doesn't fall apart when trying to eat it. The sauce was homemade, had a nice kick of oregano, and really complimented the dough. The pizza, though lukewarm upon arrival home was to be expected. The crust had a really unexpected excellent blend of crisp underneath and soft on the outside. Overall, this may be my new Go-To pizza place in the area. Leaps and bounds above anything else I've had recently (Roma, Mambo, Vocelli). Also definitely worth supporting SBO in these times. Thanks for a great dinner, keep up the good work.

The crust is just right, the little pepperonis curl up perfectly around the edges, and there's a great balance between the cheese and crust. Their white pizza with spinach and tomato is my absolute favorite. I also really like their sausage pepperoni (the sausage is ground) and it's delicious. The reheated in store slices are fantastic. They put them back in the oven, and they come out absolutely delicious and crispy. The reason I'm giving 4 stars overall is the dining area. There's minimal ventilation, and the dining room can sometimes be a bit messy. I'd recommend getting your pizza to go or keeping your expectations modest when it comes to the seating area.
