Sausage Gravy and eggs

Not new to this place at all. Came here a lot as a young man working shutdowns at Gonna. Always got a burger. So like 20 years later, and now living in the area, gotta go there! First, we went to Candy Kitchen a year ago for lunch. Had the meatloaf Sammy with hand cut fries. I have said if I have a last meal it would be OCKs meatloaf! Tender, moist, perfectly seasoned. And homemade fries? My fave! Sry, I tend to go on tangents. I had a huge serving of sausage gravy and homemade biscuits. I like eggs with this. Gravy was loaded with sausage and the gravy wasn't too pastey like some restaurants. Simply excellent Eggs were perfect. Wife's Omlette was also loaded and moist. I'll be back with more meatloaf stories! Oh, and they sell homemade candies. Wife says they are terrific!

Super cute local diner style restaurant. Lots of options, kind waitresses, and a candy shop to purchase your deserts to go! Seating is a little snug but clean and definitely a vibe when you're a newbie. Got the chicken salad special which came with broccoli soup. Soup was great! Chicken salad was really heavy on the Mayo. In fact they put more Mayo on the bread for the sandwich. Very average but good with a lot of fresh lettuce. Cant wait to come back and try something else. They even offer hand cut fries or frozen! Got the black jelly beans to go and they were incredible!

This place was pretty good. There weren't a lot of places around where I was staying that seemed good for breakfast, but this place came up. Although a little out of the way (15 minutes), i'm glad I came. It is definitely a classic diner setup, good service, friendly staff, typical diner menu. I got the Reuben Benedict, which was pretty good. Eggs were cooked correctly, the corned beef was good, there was maybe a little too much sauerkraut, and the hollandaise sauce had flavor but was looked like it was just sitting around for a little bit. If I was in the area, i'd stop by again, i'd like to presume some of their other food is good as well, and it was constantly busy while I was there.

The food and atmosphere are very nice here in this small town business. I definitely recommend. Only issue I had was I ran out of water and waited 10 minutes for the waitress to come over. It is a busy shop though so I am very understanding. It's a very SWEET place. AMAZING FOOD!

Mmm enjoying a nice breakfast :)

Ok, so I saw this cute video on YouTube about viral blue cream chocolates. I loved the look of the…read morecandies and the process of making them, and figured I'd try them out ... just once on a whim. My wife light heartedly teased me, "you did not just spend $$ on a box of candy from an unknown shop on the other side of the country!" I was worried about them surviving the trip to Fresno. Well, they arrived today, perfectly intact with a tiny bit of chill left in the cooler pack to keep them that way. My wife tried one (it's up to four, I think, now), and then she wanted to know the name of "this shop I found". She immediately dug up the shop's website and began picking favorites. Hercules now has two solid fans now in Fresno. My wife has been looking for years for a chocolate experience she's missed for all that time, and these provided that. It's fantastic that you can order light, dark, or mixed as well as creams, nuts, or mixed to get exactly the variety you like best. We got all dark and a mix of fillings. They are perfectly sweet without being cloyingly so. And both the chocolate and the cream inside are so smooth without a hint of the crystalization present in even premium brand mass-produced chocolates (think Godiva). I should probably add that I love them, too. But I had a feeling I would watching them being made, so that was kind of expected. The red creams are amazing! There were some crunchy toffee ones that I really loved as well. I haven't hit a blue one yet like in the video, oddly enough, but there are plenty more to go! We will definitely be having more shipped out this way before the 100°F summer months make that too risky.

I've not been personally but I've been watching on YouTube for about 8 months and I had to order…read more 1. Very Cherry creams covered in Milk Chocolate.
