Tried the breakfast out to see what the hype was about this diner. The diner was packed! We waited about 5 min outside before our pager went off that our table was ready. Very casual inside, servers hustle! The menu is huge!!! We tried an omelet with rye toast and the two eggs, bacon and home fries with sourdough toast. The taste was great, however I didn't know that they'd slather the toast with so much butter. I couldn't eat it. I know ew I'd have a stomach ache with so much butter. The bacon and home fries were very greasy. I couldn't eat even half if my food because of it. I didn't complain or anything. I feel it was partly my fault for not requesting butter on the side. We went on a Friday around 10:30 a.m., and it was already busy. We sat at the counter and were told weekends get even busier, so plan ahead! The servers? Sassy in the best way -- super fun and full of personality. The food hits the spot. While it's not heavily seasoned out of the kitchen, it's tasty once you add a little salt, pepper, or one of the multiple hot sauces they have on hand. The more you know! Went on Saturday, there was a bit of a wait, but well worth it. When we got in, the place was packed and we enjoyed a very nice breakfast. I had the Monkey "luv cake", with bananas, chocolate and pecans. It was huge, filling the entire plate. The "luv cake" was light and very nicely filled with the banana, chocolate and pecans. Great service. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. The decor was cool and the place was clean. We ordered the Irish Benedict , Nutella crepe and Margarita omelette. The Irish hash was good but there was a spice in it that was so overpowering that I couldn't eat it. The margarita omelette was very bland and the mozzarella on top didn't melt and was tough. The hash browns were very good. The Nutella crepes were very good, there was a lot of Nutella inside. I will go back to try something different. read more

We have ordered " to go" meals a few times from the Henrietta location. The food is always outstanding and they'll make it right if it's not. The problem is quality control. In today's takeout order, we ordered three pancakes and one omelette. All the pancakes were ordered with extra sauce. One of the pancakes did not have sauce, although we were charged for it, and we never got the omelette at all, again we were charged for it. When I got home and unpacked everything for the family, it was my omelette that was missing. Now it was after 2 o'clock when I got home, but I tried to call them anyway. It was only like 2:15 or so and I know that the people were still in there yet they were not answering the phone. So now everybody's eating but me, and I'm out probably 20 bucks and I can't get a hold of anybody. This is the one thing that I absolutely cannot stand about Steve's diner. read more

I really enjoyed the New York Cheesecake Love cake it wasn't super sweet which I really like because usually pancakes with toppings are very sweet but this was just right. Wife and I were up early and decided it's a good time for a breakfast date. I clearly wasn't paying attention because I didn't know Steve's was open in this plaza. Plenty of parking in the parking lot to start. Since it was early on a weekday morning, we didn't have a wait. Service was prompt and friendly. Good coffee choices... Jamaican me crazy is always a hit! Everything still looks clean and new. There is a large menu with tons of options. We got an avocado Benedict with bacon, and a veggie omelette. The omelette looks big enough for 2 people! The Benedict was fresh with nice slices of avocado and tomato. One snag was the kitchen forgot to include the requested bacon inside the omelette. But we just shared the side of bacon. The waitress apologized and took it off the bill. The bill included a QR code which we thought we could pay the bill with but it's for the staff to use. It would be nice to be able to pay and go. So you still have to pay at a register. You can also get a discount if you pay with cash. Breakfast for 2 averaged out to about $20 a person. It feels expensive but when you factor in current inflation and cost of everything, it checks out. We'll be back for sure. read more
