I had Dover Trucking they were great until bought out by Harvey poor service when that happened.I decided to give Orifice a try and so glad I did I thought Dover Trucking gave great service but Orifice has them beat the best trash service the area always looks as clean as you left it no trash blowing all over the neighborhood after pickup. I also want to put a shout out to the owner Derek he picked up Dover Truckings old tote because I waited 3 weeks for Harvey to get back to me to tell me they don't want it back to throw it away thanks Harvey for nothing. read more

I have use Orifice for a number of years. When I asked to upgrade from the recycle cartons to a 96 gallon roller, they wanted $100 although it was free for new customers. I accidently overpaid my service charges using autopay. I emailed Orifice and they agreed. I have waited 6 weeks for some action. I went to their office and the woman said that she did not know when she would talk to her supervisor again. "It could be weeks" and that she was not authorized to cut a check. The office is a disaster, run down, and it seemed to me to be disorganized. I will be taking them to court. Avoid them. read more

We've all heard the saying that "there are only two things in life that are certain: death and taxes". No, there are THREE: death, taxes, and TRASH. I was staying at a friend's home in Needham for a month while in-between homes, and noticed right away how complicated TRASH is in that town. Residents needs to drive all their stinky trash and recycling to the dump, and that is only open Tues-Sat, and the hours aren't that convenient either. Yeah, load your car with junk on your day off! No thanks. While walking my dog around the neighborhood, I noticed that a few smart neighbors had bins sitting on the curb (like Boston, Westwood, Newton) and saw Orifice's name. I called, spoke to Derek, explained that I was staying at my friend's and as a unique thank you gift, I wanted to give her the gift of trash. Oscar the Grouch would approve (except for that I am trying to get the trash OUT of her house and garage)!! Seriously folks, stop dragging the trash to the dump!! For $35 month - $1 and some change a day!!!! - Derek's guys will pick up your trash AT YOUR CURB once a week. If you really like loading trash in your car, then go for it. However, if you live in Needham, Wayland, Lincoln, Sudbury or Weston they will come to you read more

The guys on the truck are great. The office is a disaster. Disorganized, confused, and unresponsive. Avoid.

I have been using Orifice at my home for almost a year now. There service has been wonderful! They allow extra items that may not fit in your bins at no extra cost, and their customer service is always helpful and responsive. This past week we had a bin chewed through by a rodent and they sent someone out within two days to replace my bin. It may cost more than my town refuse, but it is worth the extra cost. I am signed up for pickup at my garage and the truck just pulls in my drive way and picks up my bins. No need to remember to leave them out the night before (which I was often forgetting before!) read more

I used Orifice for a couple years for weekly garbage pickup, and the service has gone downhill over the past 6 months or so. They frequently fail to pick up my trash - citing a variety of excuses such as snow, access, etc. - then charge extra to pick up the trash on a different day. At times it feels like a scam. I'd avoid Orifice and use a more professional company with a track record of reliability. read more

Worst experience with this company. I had the misfortune of working with Bridgette, she will make false promises, in our case this lead to a massive infestation with maggots. Week after week she kept telling me the company would clean our barrel and they never did as the truck was not equipped, and then they would not take any responsibility and follow up with the promises she made (either cleaning barrell or replacing). HORRIBLE customer service! Owner would not call back read more

What a pleasure and privilege to have access to their service. Happy customer for 9 years in Wayland. Personal and reliable service provided by good-hearted and honest people. Even on short-weeks, they maintain schedule (as much as they can) so there wouldn't be any confusion or trouble for the customers. When I call with special requests, they would bend over backwards to accommodate, e.g. special pickups, one-off requests, large volumes, etc. The pricing is great and also very straight forward. All other companies charge fees for everything. They nickel and dime you for special trips, types of garbage, overage, etc. Not at all Orifice. Family business. Local business that I trust. read more

Great service. Affordable, weekly pick up at my residence. They're always on time and on schedule, and the customer service is friendly and responsive. They make it easy to get rid of extra junk as well, you just need to give them a call and leave a check. While having a town service would be nice, these guys more than make up for it. read more

As for trash, recycling, and other pick up this company is top notch, with VERY reasonable prices. We even arranged for them to get rid of an old couch for us. They were on time, even during snow storms of 2014 & 2015!!!! Reliable and reasonable. The only thing a problem with this company, is it is next to impossible to get Derek to call you back or respond to a message. Usually, it takes 2 calls to get hold of him. We have just moved away from MA and I have now left 3 messages on his voice mail. The empty garbage and recycling bins have been sitting in front of the empty house for the last 3 weeks!!! The new buyers actually have it written in a P&S addendum to have them removed and I can't even get a call back from Derek - so 2 stars off. Suggestion Derek - get a receptionist to handle customer phone calls, especially if you are so busy you don't have time to call customers back (yes, left full name, number, and address all three times). Next is a registered letter. read more

I've been a customer for 4.5 years. These guys are great. Reliable, on-time, and they haul away a lot of stuff. They come out to "Touch a Truck" every year. Strongly recommend. read more

Great price and great service. This is something you never have to worry about. I have never had issues with these guys. They do the job right every time and never leave a mess. read more

We get our company dumpsters emptied by these folks. I've seen their trash containers all around the Natick/Sudbury area and decided to give these guys a call. We used to use waste management prior which we were not overly impressed with. The owner Derrick came by to discuss the different pick up times and I have to say he's probably one of the nicest guys I have met. I recommend calling this place if your looking for trash removal you won't be disappointed. read more

The curbside service by Orifice is great. They never miss a pick-up, even in a snowstorm. However, I agree with several other reviewers that Orifice customer service is not so great. Derek often does not respond to emails or phone calls, or only does after repeated emails or phone calls. Similarly, several reviewers complained about poor customer service involving Orifice refusing to pick up bins weeks or months after service was terminated. I wanted to change to Dooley's refuse service (which is cheaper and offers free pickup of bulk items, metal, and appliances) but Orifice informed me they only allow early service termination if I am moving. Yet, early termination for the types of poor customer service described by customers in four of the eleven posted reviews is not permitted? read more

When we moved to the area, after a few months our existing trash pick-up company was taken over by Orifice. So we signed up with them. But their trash pickup was on Fridays which we didn't like. Now after a few months we decided to go with another recycling company. We asked Orifice multiple times to pick their large trash can and recycle box. The owner's wife sometimes replies to the emails, otherwise no one ever bothers to respond. Anyways when we get the response, it is always that they have us on their waiting list and will arrange a pickup of their trash cans soon. It has been more than 4 months and they still haven't picked their trash cans. Even though we messaged them several times. The big cans take up too much space in the garage, and we are out of space. read more

Great to work with these people! Top notch custom service and extremely professional / timely manner. This is the first dumpster I've ever had we share it with 3 other businesses, they have been helpful and patient at meeting our demands. We use a double wide which came brand spanking new and super clean. The single stream part is just so convenient I can't articulate that enough, I do wish they took credit cards that's my only critique that being said everything else is more then i hoped for! 5 stars for sure read more

I've been a customer of theirs since 2016. When I first negotiated a rate I spoke with the owner Derek who verbally agreed with me over the phone for a better rate esp. since I was going to refer my neighbor. Later I get a bill and called, and he backed out on that agreement. So I was a little miffed. As far as pickups for trash/recycling they are timely for the most part. However, if they miss a pickup or have to reschedule they won't tell you! They also expect you to check their facebook page as sufficient notice- however I even subscribed and don't see their posts. In January 2017 I added their compost pick up service which was reasonably priced and no issues with pick ups until January 2018. For a whole month my bin was outside same location for over a year and this month they didn't pick up. I called about mid to late month to inquire about the issue. It took them 5 days to get back to me via email and no one there for days was picking up the phone or returned my call. When I finally did hear a response they told me my bin wasn't outside all month which was a total lie because I left it out and it kept piling up. I was then transferred to Bridgette who is horrible with customer service and has a bad attitude. She honestly could care less - and begins to tell me she would like to charge me $15/mo for the past several months because she thinks the driver was picking up from my driveway vs. curbside. Then she tells me she's done having this argument with me. WOW. The business is not the victim here and the customer is always right. As the customer, I made sure to speak calmly and explain the situation - her demeanor was uncalled for. I think they would prefer to take peoples money than provide excellent customer service. Bridgette has also on several other occasions been nasty about invoices -- especially me complaining I never receive them. I can pay them on time if I get them in time! Overall I did get January credited after having to deal with her unpleasantness. She made a snarky comment "you're getting one hell of a deal because I was going to retroactively bill you for driveway service." Honestly I think I'd like to shop for a different services or say hell with it, and put all my food waste in the trash. So if you are someone who needs weekly recycling and trash pick up for $100/quarter and can deal with bad customer service feel free to sign up. But I am definitely aggravated and ready to start shopping around. You expect to get better service and pay a little more for that to support small business. I have a feeling I might get better luck with a corporate brand like Republic Services or BWI. read more

These people are completely unreliable , undependable and not business-like. Despite committing in writing for a garbage pick prior to a house closing, Derek never showed up. We needed to get an expensive garbage remover on short notice. Communicating with Derek is extremely difficult. he does not answer calls, voice mails and e-mails. He claims that he "alone deals with 5,000 customers." That is great for him but in a business providing service, he does not provide service. We would never engage with him againa an do not recommend him to anyone. read more

I own a small plumbing and hvac company out of Natick. When I first started out I went with one of the big trash companies for my cardboard and trash dumpsters. It didn't take long to see that I made a mistake. Not only did they leave a mess every time they came , they also didn't show up when they were supposed to. After a rave review from a friend of mine who used Orifice for their residential trash and recycling service I decided to give them a try. I called and spoke with the owner Derek who was great. He helped me decided what size dumpsters would work best and how often they should come. I can't tell you how great it is to speak to the owner of the company for a change. Never thought I could be so happy about trash but theses guys are great and would strongly recommend them to anyone. And as a small business owner myself I can appreciate supporting a great local company who care about their customers. read more

See all

Derek and the whole team provide excellent service at a competitive cost. I pay the tiny bit extra not to push the bins to the street, I have tendonitis that flares up at times. Orifice has done an excellent job on regular business... and also provides 20-40ft roll off containers if you are remodeling etc... I Called him a few weeks ago and only needed a shorty container, he doesn't stock them but he gave me the # of someone who could have it for me that week.... "That's Class"... If they allowed 6 stars You would get them.... Thanks for your continued service of going above and beyond. read more

real pros, nice, honest, dependable, and good value

An Orifice trash truck picking up at our neighbor's backed into our driveway wall in Sept. 2014 and left a long gash. The driver stopped, took pictures and told me he would turn them into the office and I would get a call. None came, so I called and talked to Derek Orifice, who said someone would come out to see the damage and fix it the following Tuesday. No one came so I called about two weeks later--no answer, so I left a message. No call back. I spotted a new driver one week and mentioned it to him--he said he would tell the office. A couple of weeks later I called again--no answer, so I left another message. No response. Couple of weeks later I sent an email message through their web site. No response. I contacted the Better Business Bureau--they gave up after a month saying the company didn't respond to them either. Winter passed and I called in April and left another message to Derek, saying that now that the weather was better, would't they come out and fix the damage? No answer again. The damage is cosmetic, not structural, and wouldn't take a worker who knows what he's doing much time to fix it. I can't fathom how a company can operate with so little regard for people that they won't even respond. Before calling in April I spotted one of their drivers and asked him to mention the problem to Derek again. The driver refused, saying " I can't keep going to him on this." The last time I had asked him was five months before--hardly pestering the guy. I guess the front office attitude is extending into the drivers ranks. read more
